We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night. In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails.   Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. The chicken coop is always bustling and there are plenty of eggs to harvest each day. This was our favorite spot of our quick 3 day trip. Absolutely beautiful land, well maintained, and incredibly welcoming. I wish we could have stayed longer. The seafood platter we got after checking in was such a nice surprise; we enjoyed chatting with Frank and learning about the area. Watching the geese march down to the pond in the morning and then back up to the house in the evening was quite entertaining. Nugget the turkey visited us a couple times and we had quite the conversation. We will absolutely be repeat campers at Mountain Hollow Farm.

Weekend Trip to Northern Pocono Campsite

Jim and Carol’s campsite was the perfect spot for us to stay with our two dogs. It was driving distance to a ton of lakes which was great so we were able to go fishing and rented a row-boat at Lake Superior State Park. Our dogs enjoyed the campsite as well. There was plenty of space to walk them around and help them get out some energy. This was the perfect hipcamp for us. It’s so convenient to have water, sewer, and electric without having to deal with a crowded campsite. We hope to be back again soon. I highly recommend this hipcamp!

Frank is a great host. He is very thoughtful and responsive. He provided a great hors d’oeuvres plate the night we arrived, which was beyond expectation and delicious. The pond is excellent for fishing as my son caught a couple very large trout. Great location close to Deposit. We have a 20 foot trailer camper and I highly recommend this site.

3 nights at Lakeside Campground

My wife and I had a relaxing weekend. The cute little lake kept her busy all weekend catching sunfish and pearch. She even caught a bass, it was on the small side but gave her a nice fight jumping out of the water and doing its best to get away. The WiFi worked great, the bathrooms were very clean, and the grounds were tidy. The only thing that keeps this camp ground from being perfect is the lack of grass on the individual camp sights. Most of the seasonal sites had cute little lawns, but the visitor sights had very little. The owner was wonderful! We could have sat down with both her and her son and chatted the day away, but had to let them get back to work. We will be back, possibly before this summer is over.

We had a great time at Franks place. The sites have full hookups for rv campers. This is the first hipcamp I ever went to that the host brought a full seafood/chessboard platter that was excellent. If you are into hiking bring waterproof boots to make it across the shallow creek. Frank has a turkey that is a protector of the property and spent every minute at our site. Again Frank was a great host, the fishing was great. Binghamton is not too far away if you need something to do. Otherwise you can hike or fish on the property. The rv sites you can back in or pull thru, they are close to each other side to side.

Frank’s farm is so beautiful. We loved seeing the turkeys, ducks and beavers! We were welcomed and shown to our site. After we got set up, Frank brought us a fabulous tray of food: venison and duck from the farm cooked perfectly. Shrimp and cocktail sauce and a fresh fish dip with pickles and carrots. Peppered salami, crackers and cheese and watermelon. It was awesome!

We had such an amazing time here! My boyfriend, my roommate and her partner, and our dog all came up for the weekend — it was absolutely gorgeous. The site was spacious and private; we couldn’t see anyone else around, which made it feel so peaceful and perfect for a quiet getaway. It did get a bit chilly at night, but that just added to the cozy campfire vibes. Dave and Ike were incredibly hospitable and welcoming — and the fresh eggs were delicious! Would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some beautiful open space.

We really enjoyed the campsite. The campground staff were friendly and very helpful. It suddenly turned pretty cold during our stay and the campground staff were very helpful with freeze warning notifications. We’d love to return when it’s warmer out! Penny was very good with communication and I would recommend this site!
