Nice mostly level camping spots with a few spots to chose from for your tent. We camped under the big tree cause we knew rain was coming annd kept our tent dry. Outhouse was kept clean and we loved meeting the alpaca.

Karen was a wonderful host! The site was lovely and conveniently located near Ricketts Glenn. We experienced a bit of rain during our stay but the cover from the large pine tree kept us dry.

Karen's space was quiet and secluded and just what we were after. It's just off of the road, but MAYBE there is one car per hour passing by during the day. You have privacy but the host is right there should you need anything. The outdoor composting toilet was super clean (previous reviews stated the same which is why I booked).
We stayed in the middle of gnat season so I'd recommend to bring bug spray and treat your tent with permethrin ahead of time. No ticks at all though!
It was a nice warm night so we left the rain fly off the tent and were able to fall asleep looking up at so many stars. The following day, we got to meet Amigo the alpaca and a few of his friends. (They don't make any noise and won't bother you in the least).
This was our first hipcamp stay but won't be our last!

Very comfortable grounds with a nice fire pit and friendly host! The llamas are fun neighbors â highly recommend you stop by to say hello and get a pet in!

This spot was perfect! It was lightly raining, but my tent under the pine tree stayed warm and cozy. Getting to pet Amigo was definitely a highlight, and Leo the farm cat was delightful too. The compost toilet station was BY FAR the cleanest, best-smelling setup I've ever used. I'll definitely be back!

Pine Hollow was a special treat. I wanted to show my boyfriend around the area I hail from. I wanted to stay somewhere unique. The Alpaca farm was perfect. We camp a lot so we are used to all sorts of things and we loved Pine Hollow. The Alpacas were so cool. We are artists and got to draw them while we were there! I was happy Karin was really easy to talk to, the composting toilet is beautiful and we got to camp under a magical massive pine tree that is surely a portal to another world. We needed food and found that there were stores only 7 minutes away. I wish we had even more time because Iâd love to have taken advantage of being so close to Ricketts Glen. Thanks Karin!

The land is quiet, peaceful and almost magical. The large tree we camped under is beautiful and felt like something out of a fairy tale. Alpacas are pretty and curious creatures they add a mystique to the experience. Our host Karen seemed really knowledgeable about the area we were in, and was happy to bring out Amigo, a beige male alpaca for us to pet and look at. The toilet facilities made the stay more comfortable.

Karen was lovely, she greeted us when we first pulled in & quickly explained the layout of the camp site. She also accommodated our schedule & brought 'Amigo' the alpaca out to see us in the AM because we were out hiking the entire check-in day. It was a great time, the compost toilet is kept very clean & tidy - I saw that in another camper's review & can confirm its true ! Yay !
The campsite is easy to drive to, easy to access (located on her front lawn), & there is the smallest amount of white noise if another neighbor happens to drive by. Over all great site, would stay at again to be in a comfortable spot near the great surrounding nature. We had a very nice night staying up w. a fire & cooking on the skillet before hiking RG Loop the next morning.

The site was great! Very quiet and laid out very well. We got to visit with Karen and the alpacas. It was amazing! Sheâs very knowledgeable and clearly cares quite a bit about the animals which made the stay so much better! Thank you for the experience!!

Great place to camp! Shady spot with cute composting toilet. Our host was friendly and helpful, and we loved feeding the alpacas. We would definitely go back if camping in the area.

Perfect campsite with a very clean out house! Karen made us feel so welcome during our stay, even bringing out Amigo the alpaca for us to pet! It was quiet and peaceful, tucked away on a side country road. Stars were beautiful & only a short drive to Ricketts Glen. We loved the privacy of being the only campsite! Would definitely camp there again.

the site itself was fine and we slept well enough - it was quiet for the most part. The disappointing part was that we didn't really get a lot of interaction with the alpacas. Karen was not home when we arrived so we could only feed a couple of the alpacas through the fence. in the morning she met us and brought one of them out for us to pet, but it was not what we expected. Karen was friendly - it just seems the alpaca farm aspect of the stay is not what it once may have been.

We had such a great weekend camping on Karen's land! The alpacas were adorable and friendly; the site was quiet and private. There was a flat spot to set up the tent, a fire pit, a picnic table, and a super-clean outhouse. Easy drive to Rickett's Glen. Highly recommend!

Very nice seclusion in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania! The nearby creek offered nice music-to-sleep-by, slept in & awoke feeling refreshed! The composting toilet worked well & was very clean. In addition to the very friendly alpacas, we caught a glimpse of a redwing blackbird & a pileated woodpecker; unsure if they were on the payroll, but the campsite was nice & private and offered lots of shade. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I took a weekend trip and really enjoyed Karenâs land. It was quiet and peaceful. The alpacas were very unique and ended up being a highlight of our trip. The site is located close to a home but that was not an issue for us. The central pine was quite beautiful too. Karen was very responsive and checked in on us too. Overall a really great first trip using Hipcamp!

We had a great time car camping at Karenâs campsite! She was very friendly and came to greet us shortly after we arrived. She had the cutest dogs with her and we were able to go see the alpacas on her farm, which were also adorable. The compost toilet is kept very clean and thereâs hand sanitizer provided, which we appreciated. The site is beautiful and very well kept, very easy to access, and it really feels like you have your own space and privacy out there. Thereâs also a fire pit, which we did not use, but it is a great addition to the spot. We would definitely camp here again!

Karen is a lovely host and her property is very suited for a peaceful weekend in the country. The site was partially shaded grassy flat spacious space for our two 10x10 tents. It was nice to hear the camping funds go to support the care of Karenâs beautiful herd of Alpacas. Definitely would go back for a stay in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Pine Hollow. The campsite was nice and shaded, flat and perfect for our tents. Karen is such a welcoming and friendly host. We loved meeting her alpacas and watching the bunnies and fireflies each evening. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience! The host was hospitable and accommodating. My son loved going to visit the alpacas every free moment! The camping area was tucked away and easy to bring your camping supplies to. Cannot recommend this property enough!

This was a very quiet spot still very close to great hiking and some options in town with plenty of room for my rooftop set up. Karen was a great host and I even got to meet the Alpacas! It was a very nice stay.

Super friendly host greeting, and a great spot to set up camp. The outhouse was clean and actually smelled great unlike a lot of campsite bathrooms. Ample space for our car and tent, and for our dogs to roam around on their long lines. The only thing we wish we would have known in advance is how close to the road and hostâs house the site was. It was totally fine and we felt like it was private enough, weâre just used to camping a bit more remotely so itâs just good to know going in so thereâs no surprises. Thanks for being welcoming and helpful with our stay!

Quiet shady spot... 15-minute drive to Ricketts Glen.
Full shade campsite. I was the only camper on Karen's property, which made for a very quiet weekend. Karen introduced me to her herd of Alpacas... what a fun experience! Highly recommend... would camp here again.
