Very nice seclusion in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania! The nearby creek offered nice music-to-sleep-by, slept in & awoke feeling refreshed! The composting toilet worked well & was very clean. In addition to the very friendly alpacas, we caught a glimpse of a redwing blackbird & a pileated woodpecker; unsure if they were on the payroll, but the campsite was nice & private and offered lots of shade. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I took a weekend trip and really enjoyed Karenâs land. It was quiet and peaceful. The alpacas were very unique and ended up being a highlight of our trip. The site is located close to a home but that was not an issue for us. The central pine was quite beautiful too. Karen was very responsive and checked in on us too. Overall a really great first trip using Hipcamp!

We had a great time car camping at Karenâs campsite! She was very friendly and came to greet us shortly after we arrived. She had the cutest dogs with her and we were able to go see the alpacas on her farm, which were also adorable. The compost toilet is kept very clean and thereâs hand sanitizer provided, which we appreciated. The site is beautiful and very well kept, very easy to access, and it really feels like you have your own space and privacy out there. Thereâs also a fire pit, which we did not use, but it is a great addition to the spot. We would definitely camp here again!

Karen is a lovely host and her property is very suited for a peaceful weekend in the country. The site was partially shaded grassy flat spacious space for our two 10x10 tents. It was nice to hear the camping funds go to support the care of Karenâs beautiful herd of Alpacas. Definitely would go back for a stay in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Pine Hollow. The campsite was nice and shaded, flat and perfect for our tents. Karen is such a welcoming and friendly host. We loved meeting her alpacas and watching the bunnies and fireflies each evening. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience! The host was hospitable and accommodating. My son loved going to visit the alpacas every free moment! The camping area was tucked away and easy to bring your camping supplies to. Cannot recommend this property enough!

This was a very quiet spot still very close to great hiking and some options in town with plenty of room for my rooftop set up. Karen was a great host and I even got to meet the Alpacas! It was a very nice stay.

Super friendly host greeting, and a great spot to set up camp. The outhouse was clean and actually smelled great unlike a lot of campsite bathrooms. Ample space for our car and tent, and for our dogs to roam around on their long lines. The only thing we wish we would have known in advance is how close to the road and hostâs house the site was. It was totally fine and we felt like it was private enough, weâre just used to camping a bit more remotely so itâs just good to know going in so thereâs no surprises. Thanks for being welcoming and helpful with our stay!

Quiet shady spot... 15-minute drive to Ricketts Glen.
Full shade campsite. I was the only camper on Karen's property, which made for a very quiet weekend. Karen introduced me to her herd of Alpacas... what a fun experience! Highly recommend... would camp here again.

My girls and I enjoyed tent camping on Karen's land. Seeing the Alpacas was a nice treat and my kids really enjoyed feeding them grain and maple leaves. Karen was so lovely and shared Alpaca information with us and saved our night by lending us a deck of cards I forgot to pack. We had a rain storm roll through which she updated us about and we played cards in the tent to pass time after dinner and before bed. Waking up to birds chirping and al ayer of fog after the rain was so pretty and calming.
The camp site offered a mix of shade and sun. Had plenty of space and was very easy to pull my SUV into. The property had a composting toilet near.

We had a wonderful night on Karenâs property. Beautiful corner right beside a little creek (with 3 deer that stopped by just behind our camper).. And so so quiet at night. We didnât get a chance to explore area as we were passing through. We did though get to spend time with my the alpacas and with Karen who has an obvious love for sharing information of her alpacas and bringing them out so you can get to know them. While she no longer has a store set up in her home (itâs at another local farm) she brought items out for me to look at that came from her alpacas. I purchased hat and scarf (made by Karen), gloves and a blanket - all gorgeous and super soft! I hope to go back and explore the area more and would definitely stay here again!đđ Karen is super responsive with messages and getting back to you.

Unfortunately we had to leave this trip early due to a hole in the top of our tent during a rainy night. But enjoyed the few hours we spent here. The spot is cute and you can put your tent under a beautiful big tree. Karen is so kind and enthusiastically introduced us to one of her adorable alpacas. We hope to return with a patched tent!

I arrived late and left early, but not because I wasn't having a good time! Karen is a wonderful host, and Pine Hollow is a wonderful place to stay. Easy to get to, I had no trouble backing into my site, which was nice and level. The alpacas are adorable. The outhouse with composting toilet is clean and close by. This was my first hip camp, I hope they're all this nice. I would love to stay here again. Thanks again Karen!

Karen was a gracious host who shared some of her knowledge of alpacas. The site had a lot of level ground, a large fire pit and a close by outhouse with a composting toilet. There was wood available. There is a second site, but you can't see it, and barely hear it. Short drive to Ricketts Glen for hiking and seeing some falls. Easy to find and a nice stay!

We stayed at the 'hideaway' site which is the most private site Karen has. It was everything I was looking for. The nature is breathtaking. The sounds I experienced during the night were the best! Words can't describe the experience. I will definitely be back!!

Karen checked the conditions of the site we initially selected prior to our arrival. Due to recent rain our site was flooded so she prepared an alternate site for our stay. The site provided everything we were looking for (e.g., privacy, fire pit to cook meals, wildlife) and the alpaca and hospitable host were very welcomed and appreciated additions.

What an excellent spot to camp! Karen was a great hospitable host and the spot was perfect driving distance to Ricketts Glen. The alpacas were a definite highlight of the trip. Quiet peaceful, private camping spot with great shade and a nice big fire pit. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

We had a great time on Karenâs land.
After an incredible day of hiking at Rickettâs Glen, Karenâs Pine Valley Farm was an easy 15-20 minute drive.
The campsite was awesome. Parking onsite, great stone firepit, plenty of room for tents although we only neeeded 1 and plenty of firewood stocked up around the campsite.
The bonus to all this is Karen and the alpacas. She truly is very gracious and accommodating. She loved answering alll the questions we had. It really was a such a pleasure to meet suck a kind, hard working, good hearted person.
Meeting the Alpacas was a great experience. With Karen we were able to feed them grass and leaves from our hands. Some of them were ok being pet.
Karen also has a shop where she makes and sells crafts using the alpca hair. We bought some soaps, oils amd alpaca socks.
I will definitely recommend and look forward to going back to see Karen and the alpacas. And Trigger the dog.

We had a great time staying on Karenâs land. Karen was very accommodating and kind. She brought out an Alpacas so the kids could pet it. Her little Alpaca store was a highlight on our trip. She has all kinds of items but her handmade (handspun) ware was our favorite!!!

We enjoyed our brief stay! Karen was flexible when our arrival time changed and welcomed us when we arrived. She was very accommodating when rain made the usual spot too muddy. We loved waking up to the alpacas peeking through the barn at us :)

Karenâs place was awesome! The campsite was at least twice the size we needed for 2 people and we could drive our car right up. Karen was so friendly the alpacas were so cute and sweet! We definitely plan to explore the property next time we stay, we spent our time hiking Ricketts Glen on this trip which was about a 15-20min drive from Karenâs property. Weâll be looking up Pine Valley again next time weâre in the area!

We had a lovely visit. The camp was easy to locate. Our daughter was delighted by the alpacas. Our host graciously allowed us to visit with them and feed the alpaca maple leaves. We got to observe their care and see the handmade goods Karen creates from the wool.
