Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as a historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is here along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes (32' and under), Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Stayed 2 nights. Camping with tents. At the time of this review, there was a drought, so the river was extremely low. Property was very well kept, clean, and a great central location if you don’t want to be too far away from everything. Hopefully next time the rain has raised the river so we could do the full runs, up and down stream. The water was nice and cool, great for the warmer days we had in November. We will definitely be returning. Great site.

Very nice space! Large enough to make you feel like you have privacy on a super cute piece of land tucked far off the road. Love the fact there are toilets, power options, & water. We booked a tent electric space but ended up in an rv space by mistake… but were happy for the mix up as we had access to a water spigot. We had no idea they were hosting a football game watch that night, or having live music, but even still it wasn’t too loud so we weren’t bothered by it. Would recommend for a quick, convenient getaway.

Travel back in time to one of Florida's last unspoiled barrier islands. Forget about cellphones, internet access, rush hour traffic, and busy city life on this undeveloped island. BYOB (bring your own bike) to pedal around 3 miles of bike trails. Walk the trails if prefer a more leisurely pace.

Kick off your sandals to enjoy 5 miles of sandy beaches. Look for souvenir seashells or driftwood for a campfire. Hang 10 with your surfboard, or kayak past the towering bluffs of Myrtle Creek.

Keep a sharp eye out. You might be lucky enough to spot a sea turtle in the water. The maritime forest harbors many birds and small mammals that skitter about. Animal lovers admire the abundant wildlife here.

The campground overlooks the scenic western side of the island. No matter what spot you pick, you're mere feet from the pristine beach. Around 32 campsites have facilities for tents, hammocks, or RVs.

THE BEST variety of things to do here. Kayak the marsh, walk the beach at night, kayak to your own private beach, fish, hike some beautiful trails. Many other parks just a short short drive. Definitely on of my faves!

Little Talbot Island Campground
Little Talbot and this area is beautiful. They mark sites that are particularly hammock friendly and have ample trash bins with recycling on site. Nearest grocery store is 20 mins away, so come prepared. Firewood can be challenging to purchase nearby, but you’ve got several options for fresh seafood. This side of the park has an inlet with boat ramp. Cross the road to go to the beach. The surf can be kind of rough, although normal for Florida’s east coast. No pets on beach and cars have to be out at sunset when the rangers leave. If you feel better with a lifeguard while you’re swimming, you can drive a few miles to Hugeunot and swim either in their inlet or beach for $5/car.

Really great places we are in site 39 with a great view. A short drive or bike ride takes you to the ocean. Long walks on a beautiful beach and few people.
