The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. There is no smoking of any kind in the cabin or on the property. My husband & I put a lot of blood sweat & tears into making this a place our kids would enjoy during our weekend vacations to Leavenworth. We love hiking & there are a ton of nearby hikes. Despite it being located on the other side of the train tracks, we always seem to have a good time. We hope you enjoy it too! Learn more about this land: Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins.  There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.

The property is all fenced in, a place where your fur buddy can run free so you don't have to worry of the baby getting lost! Stroll down the hill to listen to the sounds of the creek and fish ladder. Our campground cabins are about 4.9 miles from the 'Granite Falls Fish Ladder'. Visit this beauty at Mountain Loop Highway if you fancy a little hike. Drive around 7 miles to the 'Lime Kiln Trailhead. The trail is full of amazing views and history. Our place is only about 45 minutes from Seattle. Why not pack your tent and sleeping bags then drive here after work, then leave in the morning. Leave your worries behind.. enjoy nature.

You'll find a fully stocked kitchen, a stove and refrigerator/freezer, toaster, kettle and French press coffee. Extra additions such as an Instant Pot, small blender, and popcorn maker are also available. The home includes: - 4 spacious bedrooms - An indoor dining space that comfortably seats 6 with leaves that can be added to be able to accommodate 10 people - and 2 additional seats in the kitchen bar area. - A large outdoor deck with a grill for BBQ, eucalyptus wood table and bench that seats 8 for outdoor entertainment - Expansive garden surrounded by forest and woodland trails to enjoy alone, in groups, or with your dog(s). - Outdoor hot-tub with mountain views lit with globe lights for ambience. - Yoga studio (which can be heated during the winter). - Your stay Includes bath towels, hot tub towels, robes, toiletries, etc. What you will find near Pentoria Lodge: - The log home is located on a hill close to the Skykomish River with a view of the mountains. - There are three towns located nearby. 1. Duvall is my personal favorite and is 20 minutes away to enjoy boutique shops, breweries, lunch spots, great dinner restaurants, ice cream, and a Safeway. 2. Monroe has everything you would need including restaurants, shops, hardware stores, pet stores, antique stores, and grocery stores. 3. Sultan is on the way to Stevens Pass ski resort and is much smaller but has a great bakery! Nearby activities include hiking, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding. All the spots that I would recommend visiting can be found in the Welcome Guide upon your arrival. Important things to know: - Staying in this home means you are staying within nature. Deer are regularly around the property, or can be seen in the woods during your drive up. Please be respectful to them. There has been the occasional bear sighting, so please be aware. There is bear spray in the property, but I have only seen a bear twice and have been able to scare it away with a tap on the window! My space is surrounded by woods and forest, and though I treat the exterior to keep out pests, there are all sorts of creatures great and small, including insects and mice, which unfortunately can be a reality of nature for all the homes up on the hill. Please take into consideration that my home may not be a right fit for those who are extremely phobic of these and other wildlife, but for others, it can bring enjoyment. Please take a look at my house rules to familiarize yourself with the do's and dont's, especially if you will be using this space for a larger entertainment gathering. I love my home and I am so glad you may choose Pentoria Lodge as a place to retreat. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Guest access There is enough space for 3 cars to park at the top of the driveway and next to the log cabin. Any other cars can fit down by the yoga studio and garage, but please note, the driveway is not for the faint of heart - it is steep! During the winter months you will need a 4-wheel drive to make it to the top of the driveway. When it gets icy, it is not recommend to drive the driveway, but parking at the bottom and walking up through the pasture is what I do to get home! There is an electronic lockbox for your convenience that will let you into the house with a special code that I will email to you once the property is booked and you are confirmed to be arriving. Your GPS may take you a slightly different route. I will email instructions on the easiest way to the lodge. There will also be signs to 'Pentoria Lodge' to follow for easier directions. Other things to note There are deer, squirrels, rabbits, owls, and other critters that may roam the property as the log home is surrounded by forest and is home to many creatures great and small. Some of the tiny ones may get into the house from time to time. Refunds cannot be granted because of a spider, fly, wasp, mouse, or any woodland critter. I strive to keep the property as thoroughly clean as possible with monthly pest control to mitigate the chances of seeing any creatures in the property and appreciate your full understanding should an insect or critter make a small appearance. Should this happen, please reach out to me asap and I will do anything I can to take care of it and to make your stay a 5 Star experience!

Weekend Trip to Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

Grace's property was gorgeous and Grace herself was helpful and welcoming. You can really tell how much effort and thought was put into this hip camp. The property was fully fenced, the roads and trails were easy to navigate, each cabin seemed incredibly private and professionally done. We were in cabin 3 on a cold and rainy night and appreciated the fireplace inside and the covered deck that still allowed us to eat outside and enjoy the ambience. We would definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Marvin N’s River Mountain Oasis

We had an amazing stay at Marvin’s property and I truly cannot recommend it enough. Marvin was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming from start to finish. The property itself was absolutely beautiful and offered everything we needed and more. There was plenty of space for our group of six, our dog, and our RV, and the access to the river was fantastic. Before arriving, we misunderstood part of the listing and didn’t realize the property owner could sometimes be on-site. That was completely our mistake, not Marvin’s fault in any way. When we arrived and realized the misunderstanding, we planned to pack up and leave with no hard feelings at all. However, Marvin went far above and beyond anything we would have expected — he graciously offered to stay at his other home so we could feel completely comfortable during our stay. That level of kindness and generosity is so rare, and we were incredibly grateful. Because of his hospitality, we stayed and ended up having the most wonderful time. Marvin truly cares about his guests and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great experience. The property is peaceful, beautiful, dog-friendly, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. I would absolutely recommend this spot to any of my friends and would happily stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

This has become the go to spot for me and my family when we want to get away, relax, and enjoy a beautiful campsite in peace. Our two cats are able to safely roam around and absolutely love hunting for mice and other little critters while we’re there. Dave has always been a great host and is quick to help with anything that comes up during our stay. One of our favorite parts is walking the many hiking trails throughout the wilderness of Valhalla Tree Farm. Every time we come back, it feels like the property has grown even more, with new paths and improvements continuing to take shape. Highly recommend! We sure will be going year after year.

1 night at Simple Roots Ranch

This was our first experience with HipCamp, and I must say it will be a hard one to follow! Dave and Sharon's place was amazing. We had fun walking the gardens during the day and making s'mores on the campfire at night. They provided us with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking dinner-- and Dave even offered us some veggies from his garden for our meal. Looking forward to our next visit!

I love the site , middle of the tree far enough from other campers and the service was amazing we had a cabin and a tent, already installed when we arrived, made camping so much easier, as I came alone with 4 kiddos. Teens in the tents and youngers with me in the cabin. The cover barbecue area was great, not to find everything wet in the morning. Fire pit area is cute . The site is well maintained, cabin super clean and warm thanks to a gas heater, cabin well maintained carbon monoxide detector . I ordered in advance the wood, but didn’t have enough in the morning, I texted at 8am and got wood delivered within 10min amazing! Dog could run free , kids could make noise. Definitely will come back.

Cozy cabin in a private setting with a view of the sound. Super comfy bed. Quiet, a nearby walk to the beach. The chocolate chip cookies were a bonus, and Fred is friendly, can talk about the island, lives next door but makes himself invisible.

Super cute little cabin! Just as described, it’s perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. Plenty of amenities were provided. Theres a toaster oven in the room and a portable single stove. Dishes, bowls, cups and cooking utensils are all in the room. You’ll have to bring your own towel though. Firewood was also sold on property. Really close to the Longmire entrance of Mt rainier national park.

I loved staying in this cabin! Location is close to a couple lakes we fished at during the day. Cabin included a kitchenette, bathroom, small couch, heating, and a loft bed. Hot tub was amazing and we also had a fire at the fire pit.

This cabin was cozy and relaxing. It is surrounded by trees with a nice view of s cool rock cliff. You can hear the creek burbling a few dozen feet away. The location felt very secure and calm. Dave was a very responsive host, provided clear and helpful instructions, and my trip went smoothly. I am excited to return in the future.
