Welcome to ‘Index Riverside Camp’ located just past the adorable and stunningly beautiful town of Index. We offer two sites on our 3 ½ acre waterfront property which is set right upon the Northfork of the Skykomish River. Site 1: 'The Camper's Site' The ‘RV/Camper Van and Tent Site’ is located to the left as you pull into the property. Park, situate and make yourselves at home near your above ground fire pit and picnic table overlooking that beautiful river. Set up your scene and enjoy. Site 2: 'The Little Rustic Red Cabin' The ‘Little Rustic Red Cabin’ site offers an in-ground heart shaped fire pit as well as a picnic table for outdoor dining. Inside the 358 sq ft cabin is a wood stove that heats the place up nicely. The cabin sleeps 4, offering one Queen size bed and one queen futon in the living room that faces a smart t.v. utilizing Starlink Internet. The kitchen offers all of your kitchen needs(minus running water from the faucet). Also, in the cabin you’ll find a smart speaker to hook up to, two African djembe drums, a ukulele and an Australian didgeridoo. Let your musical side come on out! Note: There is no running water on site or septic system. Bring your own drinking water or filter from the river. Water is available in town as well. A porta potty is centered between the camping site and the cabin site. Generously portioned bundles of firewood including kindling are for purchase located under the cute A-frame structure near outhouse. Bring your food, water, camp chairs, bug spray, swimsuits, water toys and all your essentials for having a lovely camping and outdoor experience in one of the most beautiful areas of Washington State. Enjoy the lovely walking trails on the back 3 acres of the property. Please take your trash and recycle and clean up after your doggies. Secure your food items so as to not attract wildlife or bears. Be safe in the river. Have fun!

'The Camper's Site' is located in our nice and open grassy yard space right on the banks of the Northfork of the Skykomish River ready for you to park and set up your awesome camping scene, whether it be snug and cozy or elaborate. An above ground fire pit and picnic table are set up for you to utilize, unwind, relax and start enjoying your stay with all Index and the surrounding area has to offer. Bring all your typical camping necessities: Firewood, Camp Stove, Warmth, Drinking Water(or filter from the river), Garbage/Recycle Bags to pack it in-pack it out, Doggie Bags, Games, Outdoor Adventure Stuff, etc. The Outhouse/Porta Potty is located in the center area between 'The Camper's Site' and the 'The Little Rustic Red Cabin'. There are no electrical hook-ups at this time. This area is so beautiful. The community is a treasure. Nature is never ending. Enjoy your stay everyone.🙂

Our little RUSTIC red 358 sq ft cabin is a place to make memories at that we'd love to share with you fellow outdoor and 'back to the basics' nature enthusiasts. This gem is located right on the Northfork of the Skykomish River. Cozy and stocked cabin with all of your essentials (minus running water from the faucet). The wood burning stove heats up the cabin very efficiently, enjoy a cozy Queen bed, queen futon, t.v. with starlink internet, fridge, oven, stove, bbq, picnic table, fire pit, all the kitchen essentials; coffee maker, coffee, blender, toaster, cuttlery, salt, pepper, oil, etc. Paper plates and bowls provided as well as lovely dishware; It's up to you if you'd like to fill the two blue buckets with fresh river water available to heat up on the stove to do dishes (like we usually do) , OR just go easy and use the paper plates and bowls. Bring your camp chairs to sit around the dug-in heart shaped fire pit over looking the river. Enjoy yourselves, be safe, have fun!

Beautiful secluded site next to a river. Very private and quiet. Definitely beats National Park campgrounds around the Cascades loop!

What a beautiful spot to camp, nice and big with a fire pit and views of the Skykomish River - the fire pit was great as well and the porta potty might have been the cleanest porta potty I have ever encountered. They were very communicative, I would 10/10 recommend.

Little Red /Ultimate Glamping

The Little Red Cabin was exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. Yes rustic, but honestly, that’s part of what makes it so special. Sitting around the fire pit, hearing the river nearby, cooking outside, and unplugging for a couple days felt like a real reset. The setting is beautiful. Index already feels tucked away in the mountains, but this cabin sits right near the river where you can stand on the bank and look directly down at the water rushing by. The smooth river rocks, dense forest, mountain views, and nearby trails make it feel peaceful and far removed from everyday life. Everything was thoughtfully set up. Plenty of firewood, a nice patio and picnic area, grill, coffee for the coffee maker, pots, pans, silverware, and other basics that made the stay easy and comfortable while still keeping the cabin’s rustic charm. Nice bed too! One of my favorite parts was watching my girls explore — running down to the river, climbing around the rocks, walking the forest trails, and sitting around the fire at night under the lights. It felt safe, simple, and very connected to nature. Sure, there are fancier places to stay. But for the experience, atmosphere, and setting, this place was a real treat. By the way, their campsite looked really nice as well — same great location. Wonderful host to communicate with – – you can’t go wrong.

The Camper's Site

What a beautiful spot! This campsite is down a short dirt road, right next to the Skykomish River. It's quiet and peaceful, spacious, and well equipped. The site has a picnic table, hammock, and fire pit, timed/solar fairy lights, and a super clean porta-potty. Rob and Jess also left us lots of firewood! You can walk down to the river in just a few steps and there are lots of hikes nearby. We can't wait to stay again!
