Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. In the off season starting after Thanksgiving through April, there is no water or toilet or shower facilities available. Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool. Our location is convenient to the Berkshire Mountains, state parks, hiking and other attractions, including Ramble Wild tree to tree adventures and Jiminy Peak. Weekend Trip to Hucklebuck Railway Campsites

Hucklebuck Railway Campground was an amazing experience! Our family had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the campground and the surrounding area. Paula and Bill organized everything in such a thoughtful way that we had way we needed as novice campers. They were responsive whenever we needed anything and gave suggestions for places to view the abundant wildlife. My children and fur babies loved being next to the water most of all. Truly this is a hidden treasure and we’re already planning our next trip back! Again thank you Paula and Bill for your hospitality and accommodating our families every need!

Weekend Trip to Hucklebuck Railway Campsites

We loved camping here! Such a beautiful property with tons of space. We felt secluded enough to not feel crowded, but it was comforting knowing Bill and Paula were so close if we needed anything. They were both extremely accommodating and attentive, from taking us up to the site, giving us a brief history of the property, and making sure we had everything we needed (like extra water), throughout the entire trip. The stream was our favorite part! We had a great time swimming and wading in the water looking at the snails. The walk is only about 5-10 minutes and it’s down a bit of a hill. The site is equipped with essentially everything you need to camp, you just need to bring the food and blankets. We’re already talking about the possibility of heading back again next year!

3 nights at Sunflower Retreat

Loved my time, great getaway. Beautiful spot, beautiful gardens, the birds knew their assignment. I was looking for someplace quiet and to not do nothing and just read and reflect, and Just Be fit the bill. ‘Just Be’ is actually a great mantra! I turned off my phone for three days. I suggest you do the same! Thanks!

Couldn't have asked for anything better! Such a sweet cozy cottage with plenty of amenities, lush gardens surrounding, outdoor shower in the garden was so nice (mint surrounding the outdoor shower smelled particularly good), close to many things to do- would really love to stay again! Highly recommend, was a really inspiring cozy place.

1 night at Quentins Treehouse

This rustic treehouse is a beautiful spot! The listing matches exactly what you get and Quintin was friendly and helpful! The stars were incredible as was the clean lake and entire property. We saw plenty of wildlife including a bald eagle overhead and woke up to light owl noise and geese passing the lake. 10/10 hope to stay here again soon

We love this campsite and have been several times now. There’s no better furnished site in the area, and they’re very friendly and helpful hosts. They clearly take care of their site and the land, as it’s been in great condition for the past six years in the time we’ve been going to Hucklebuck Campsite East. The nature is stunning, the accommodations are great, and they have everything you need to get off grid comfortably for a little while.

Weekend Trip to Beavertides Farm

If you're looking for unique glamping please visit Beavertides Farm! The folks are amazing and truly hospitable, we felt right at home. We loved that the farm animals were able to graze in front of the tent and around us while we sat by the cozy campfire. Truly a serene experience they offer everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Weekend Trip to Hunterbrook Mountain

We had an amazing time in Stephen’s place! We loved all the accommodations, how private the place felt and how relaxing it was to sleep next to the creek! We can’t wait to come back during the fall season, all the canopy around the place must look magical if it was this beautiful during the summer. Stephen was super helpful and attentive, 10/10 stay.

Weekend Trip to Hucklebuck Railway Campsites

Highly recommend! We weren't able to swim in the river due to a massive storm prior to our arrival but my family of 5 loved it!!!! Our kids ages 3,5,7 absolutely got the camping experience they were looking for. This is a site where you don't have to bring much. My husband and I were so impressed on how camp ready everything was. It made camping there such a breeze! PRIVATE & SERENE and SOOOOO MANY trails to explore. We didn't hear or bump into other campers. This site has great outlined trails and family friendly. Some of the best wildlife and everything was so well taken care of! An outhouse so clean and efficient that it had my kiddos going on their own! Our family created so many core memories here, I'm sure we'll be back and recommend to all of our family and friends! The directions they provide were spot on and the site even included instructions on how to work everything! We were also guided to our site and got an in depth tour of how everything worked in person. Paula and her lovely family were available to answer any questions or concerns we had! We came, needing to be in touch with nature, and left with so much more! Regulated nervous system check! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We can't wait to visit again!

Weekend Trip to Glamping @ Meadow Ridge Farm

My friends and i had an amazing time at meadow ridge !!! we spent the weekend and had plenty of firewood for our whole stay, the canvas tent was perfect for our friends who didn’t have a tent, and we explored the area and found the best ice cream we have had arethusa!!! loved petting the cows and having a secluded space to spend time together. we will be back !!!

What a pleasure to be immersed in nature but still sleep in a comfy bed! I only stayed one night but loved falling asleep to the sound of insects, waking to the sound of birds, reading in the hammock, and making my coffee over the fire. A great site, very well equipped. Hosts were thoughtful and communicative. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Quentins Treehouse

Beautiful lake side get away, with just the necessities. Quentin was extremely courteous and respectful and just lovely! The treehouse was a great experience and an awesome site to wake up to the lake and the birds. The water in the lake was so clean and pure and beautiful. It was perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. Didn’t want to leave. It is as expected camping with an upgrade which we loved.

The Upper Shire was an amazing slice of serenity int he Hudson Valley. We were two parties spread out at the airstream and the cabin, and loved the peace and tranquility of both spots, which were both supremely well appointed and appropriately cozy!

Our two parties of adults with kids had an amazing time at Joann's gorgeous Hudson Valley sanctuary, staying in the Airstream and the Black & Tan cabin. The property is lush and peaceful and within striking distance to so much great outdoor activity. We'll definitely be back!
