Situated on 36 acres, this working farm is 2 miles West of Taylors Falls. Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. After they had excavated all the debris (which took years) they were able to transform it with gardens and fire pit for all to enjoy. They love sharing what they have been blessed with! We cut the field to offer a walking trail to the prairie preserve. There is a tree surronded, very private tent site for tenters, but if you have a camper you can find a spot that works best for you! (The tent site is very private and a camper would not fit.) We are a short 10 min drive to Stillwater but there is so much to do in Somerset! This is such a perfect getaway! It was cozy (once we got the fire going which didn't take long), quiet, beautiful, and invitational. It was perfect for lying low and enjoying simplicity. Weekend Trip to Crooked Creek Retreat

Crooked Creek was a perfect oasis away from the city. We really enjoyed the cozy vibes of the cabin, and the walking paths for us to enjoy. Weekend Trip to Stone Creek Farm

Dan greeted us warmly and offered our children the chance to pick an apple from his tree. His farm is gorgeous with vibrant sunsets and a quiet breeze through the grasses. We were very comfortable in the spacious tent and made a cozy bonfire both nights. We highly recommend staying here!

2 nights at Into The Woods

Where do I even start? Maybe at the fact that we absolutely cannot wait to return?! We had so much fun at “the dome”. The autumn trees worked out perfectly for us – the trees were in full color and the weather mostly cooperated while we were there. The second night we were able to see the stars and MY GOODNESS, it was absolutely spectacular. It was expected to be pretty chilly during the night, so I brought a 10x20ft tarp to lay on the ground and help insulate against it and I think that helped significantly during our second night when the temp was about 36*. We cooked over the fire mostly for meals, but also drove the few minutes to A&W for root beer floats daily. The compostable toilet is located behind a small partition to provide a bit of privacy, but there is also a gas station within three minutes of the site so I just drove to use that one mostly. The solar powered fan circulated the air a bit, but there’s only so much you can move the air around in a dome shaped space… it was 70* on our second day and it got warm inside of the dome pretty quickly. We were able to buy firewood at the Adventure Church lot (five minutes away) and paid $5/bundle in cash at a self-serve stand. This stand is covered, so it had dry wood even after it rained the first night. We loved how secluded it felt without also feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere. Overall, as the first camp like experience for us, it was a roaring success! Highly highly recommend, 10/10.

2 nights at Stone Creek Farm

I loved camping in Dan's yurt campsite! The walk from the car is perfect, just long enough to feel like you are really out there camping! The views walking to the bathroom in the fall were just gorgeous! Speaking of the bathroom don't be scared off by the composting toilet. Dan provides plenty of woodchips/sawdust to cover everything up and there is no odor! The bbq grill and bonfire ring are great to have options. The picnic table seats plenty of people. It rained a bit while we were there and everything in the tent stayed dry thanks to the extra plastic Dan has placed over the top of the yurt. Dan is so kind and generous and feels like going over to a friend's house to camp. Can't wait to return next year!

We enjoyed a great "quick getaway" (from Minneapolis) at this sweet property. Tucked in the woods, a 3 minute walk to the river, this was super relaxing. Hiking at St Croix State Park, s'mores, reading & games... Couldn't ask for a better mini-break. Thanks for the hospitality!

3 nights at Reflections- Unique Modern A Frame

We loved the property and amenities! My husband isn’t much of a camping or outdoors kind of guy but he had a great time here! The cabin was clean and had all kitchen cookware needed when we were stuck inside due to rain. We had a fire every day we were there and cozied up by the fireplace inside when it rained. The stars out there were truly breathtaking! The location is out of the way of noise but not so out of the way from civilization with the nearby town 25 mins away. Dave and Tracy really thought about everything needed to accommodate your stay.

Weekend Trip to The Jubilee Homestead

My grandkids; ages 8 and 10 and I visited wonderful farm this past weekend for a one nite getaway. We all loved the experience! The kids rollerbladed in the barn, played with the cats and loved seeing the goats and chickens! Our glampung tent was perfect; comfortable bed and fun vibe. We definitely will be back next year!
