Situated on 36 acres, this working farm is 2 miles West of Taylors Falls. Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. Weekend Trip to Medicine Creek Farm

Such a beautiful spot that is being cared for really well. We stayed with our 5 kids in the barn and it was a good fit! The barn is beautiful! Jason did a great job building it! The story of the barn is inspiring too, read the binder. We got fresh eggs and a farm tour, I recommend both. The kids loved holding baby lambs and meeting all the other farm animals. Would definitely visit again.

Weekend Trip to Into The Woods

I’m so glad my very first solo camping trip with my dog was at The Dome! When I booked the listing, there was an option to pay for a couple hours before and after the booking time and I definitely took advantage of that and I’m so glad I did. I had been needing this break from the stress of life situations and have been looking forward to it so much. Inside The Dome is a perfect set up. It is nice and cozy with just the basics as you see in the listing pictures and the toilet was fine to use. There are instructions there for how to pack it out. Linda was even kind enough to have a box of dry firewood available, and the fire pit is pretty big. I did make a small fire too! There are some trails that are easily walkable. Next, as another camper at the site noted in their review: birds, birds birds. I used my Merlin app and just sat and enjoyed all the sounds. I even got to see a few of the birds and I did bring my binoculars. I also saw two different hummingbirds. Come prepared for a few ticks. I used “Wondercide” for Baxter. It’s part of camping! I use At&T and had fine cell coverage. I’ll attach some pix and hope others go and enjoy it! We might go back this fall!

Great place and host was responsive. Only downside was that sites were close and made it a little difficult to share the space when a large family was there but would come back, just rent the entire site. Amenities were amazing and location was perfect.

Jon’s property was absolutely beautiful. Fully equipped with potable water sink, AC, fridge with small freezer, electric stove, and exceptionally clean outhouse. The sleeping loft was cozy but warm, would recommend bringing a small fan in the summer months. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to the ticks, but that was no fault of the host and he was extremely accommodating. If you come to the cabin during tick season please be prepared. Overall this is a great Hipcamp and would definitely come back in the fall!

Husband, son, dogs, & I had a blast there. Found it very dog friendly! We lucked out with it being middle May and had the place to ourselves. The amenities were fantastic! It was so nice to glamp and have access to A/C and a fridge. We stayed in the cabin. Loved that there was bedding so we didn’t have to pack a bunch. Site was cool. Great location to parks. Food in towns nearby was good. Squirrel Cage was great for breakfast. Mosquitoes, ants, & ticks were bad unfortunately. The fire ring is shared among all sites. There is a fire ring at the river too. Kayaks were there which was cool. My dogs loved the path to the river. Great stay really enjoyed ourselves!

The site was tidy with its own compostable outhouse. There was even four chairs set around the fire pit. The site was private and the sounds of nature was very refreshing. Dan has a very nice place with well cared for land. There are friendly chickens and a happy-go-lucky dog, who escorted me to my site the second night.. I would definitely recommend the site. Dan was very kind and accommodating as well. He also provides wagons to tote your things.

Weekend Trip to Crooked Creek Retreat

The Pine Hunters Cabin was the perfect weekend getaway. It has all the items you need for camping, and the comfort of sleeping inside. From the second you walk in the door you can exhale and relax. The dining area was perfect for dinner when the weather was too much. We loved the cards/books and games strategically placed the cabin. Our favorite detail we experienced was the viewfinder. We reminisced about being kids and enjoyed the throwback! The fireplace kept the cabin nice and warm when its 35 degrees outside. The landscape was INCREDIBLE. We saw wild turkeys, Sandhill Cranes, and the STARS with zero light pollution. The outhouse is clean and so easy to access. The fire pit was ideal for some Dutch oven pot roast, s’mores and singing! We can’t wait to come back!

2 nights at Relaxing River Cabin with Kayaks

Awesome cabin! Our stay was a little unseasonably chilly so we spent a lot of our time inside in front of the fireplace. A modern cabin with all the amenities was exactly what we needed. Easy access to fire pit and grill and very close to the river, which was nice. I wish there were more direct walking paths from the cabin to hike with our pups but we made due walking down the main road. Great place to stay, thank you for having us!!

The perfect romantic weekend getaway. The house is perched in between 10 acres of land; making for ultimate silence and peace. The nature and bird noises are an added special touch. Would recommend bringing a tick spray. They were out and about!

I loved staying at Bundos cabin. Our kids had a nice time exploring and enjoying the land around us. It was remote but easy to get to and close enough to others that it wasn’t nerve wracking as a new place can be. Getting in was easy and the right mixture of camping and cabin life. A beautiful place! We had a great time there. The cabin is really nicely set up, no uncertainties while there. Naomi’s directions and details were perfect. Many nice settings to gather: the big kitchen table, main room, fire pit. We had a big fresh ol’ hike on the trails surrounding the property. Many sweet little books and Lincoln logs to amuse the youngins. Highly recommended. Thank you
