Secluded Mountain and Forest Views
Upper spot is just secluded enough and with great views. Level parking and easy access. Road noise is not too bad but if you want just the sound of nature this might not be the spot. Overall a great place to get away.

Great spot. Easy to get to and private. We did not get a view due to fog and smoke but the stars were incredible.
Highly recommend this spot.

Beautiful Views
We enjoyed tent camping at this site. The road to get up there was a bit steep but loved the privacy of being on the hillside. It was dark when we arrived and the stars were amazing. We heard elk in the woods nearby but didn't see any wildlife. I woke up early and watched the sun rise while looking out at Mount Rainier. The weather was great so it was perfect. We didn't make a campfire but appreciated there was wood up there. Since there's an RV up there, it felt a bit cluttered with all of the chairs and stuff but we only stayed one night and the price was great so it wasn't a deal breaker. The outdoor rugs were great and there were water jugs filled up which was nice. The site is worth the views, especially if you are coming from Olympic (Quinault side) as its on the way. We ate at a great breakfast spot in town (about 15 mins away) called Papa Bears. The site is worth the views alone.

We booked the upper site but ended up at the lower site due to the length of our new trailer. We’re about 25’ and could have maneuvered the upper site but was much easier just pulling straight into the lower spot. Both spots have fantastic views of mt rainier. We’ll be back for sure.

Do Not Book if You have a 24ft+ Rig
I debated on leaving this review, but want to warn others. The site is very private, conveniently located, and, if the weather is just right, you have a beautiful view of mt. Rainier. However, make sure you read the description on the top site CLOSELY. The 2 locations on this property are vastly different. The top site is absolutely not suitable for any rig over 24ft; it should really only be offered to camper vans/small off-road campers. I have upgraded taller suspension on my 28ft rig and I still bottomed out getting in/out of this site and had damage. The narrow, steep gravel road has hair pin turns and requires 4WD to get up. Once you get to the top, the owner has their very large (I'd guess ~35ft) RV with slide outs parked in the middle of the gravel pad. You can pull in to squeeze beside it and do an 87 point turn, avoiding the boats, items, and building materials by the kennels, to get your vehicle out once you unhook. The biggest concern is that the owner has piles of gravel dumped in the back out space, making the usable back up space >23 ft. It took me 2 hours to get out of this spot even using non-graveled areas. I also had to shovel gravel. The host is not near by, not able offer a local contact to help, and did not offered any kind of discount or partial refund. I voiced concerns upon arrival and let her know I damaged my rig on day 1 of my 1 week stay. It does not have a water hookup, but the flow from the creek will fill your tank if you're patient.

Amazing spot! Super convenient for a base camp to ride the train, visit Mt. Rainier, and so much more. A little road noise but not bad at all. We have AT&T and had enough cell service to make reservations for area activities and Nicole was an amazing host and responded quickly to all our needs. Thank you!! We will definitely be back!
