Overview! Key Pen Campen is located in Lakebay WA, Mayo cove to be exact. On a slice of land that holds history, peace and tranquility. Blessed with some of the best water accessibility, it's just steps from NO-Bank water front, but tidal influenced waters of the Puget Sound. Kayaks/canoe available (bring your own life jackets), .5 miles from Bay Lake enjoy public fishing, 1 mile from Penrose State Park where you can enjoy beach combing and trails for hiking. Lakebay Marina located just next door that will have a public boat launch opening later this year. Want to go sight seeing? Enjoy other local parks and amenities all within a short drive. Owner resides on property with dogs so please only friendly and leashed pets at this time. Please Note: larger rvs (20ft +) will be parked in large yard (none water views, will still have beach access) Smaller rvs will have the option to park in the large yard or backed down to a concrete slab overlooking the cove/water. Tents welcome -will be added to hip camp under "Tent Campen" Tents Self contained- (no amenities) $20 Tents Full amenities- $ 40 All sites 100% safe and secure! Someone will greet you upon arrival, to ensure this, please contact owner 30 mins upon arrival to property so we can guarantee gated entrance is open.

My experience with Karen and her daughter was enjoyable alot of history in this place ! Camping there was relaxing and beautiful they got us an extention cord and a string of lights for our site very accommodating.👌

Great View!

Karen’s property is a peaceful place to relax and it has a great view of the cove. Karen is a polite host. She was there to greet us when we arrived and she confirmed that we had everything we needed. It’s an area of Washington that we will not get tired of. We will be back for a visit in the future.

Key Pen Heaven

We changed our plans last minute and found Karen’s land after staying in another Hipcamp property in Oregon the two previous nights. This was such a wonderful find, so private, peaceful and such a great little private cove. We kayaked when the tide was in and explored the beaches when the tide was out. Our puppy was in heaven with the smells and free land to run and roam. Karen brought us a small fire pit and offered to go into town for more wood, if needed. It was such a lovely little find on our PNW road trip.

Peaceful paradise

Absolutely loved this location. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We launched our kayak out with the high tide as we were arrived and had a lovely afternoon paddle through the area. And during low tide our puppy had so much fun exploring the new terrain and smells. Karen was so accommodating and offered us a fire pit and wood. An unexpected highlight of our PNW trip.

Tent campen (no amenities)

Great little spot on the water (part of the day)! The property was a little smaller than I was thinking it would be based on pictures, but we were able to pitch our tent under the trees along the driveway and enjoy the sounds of nature undisturbed. Host is very accommodating, friendly and quick to respond.
