Even when there's no festival, the Historic Mt. Gretna village features a century old ice cream parlor, theater, library, public park and benches, basketball courts, mini golf, pizza shop, cafe, and the oldest skating rink in the state. Stores such as Walmart, Target, Lowes, delis, alcohol and cigar shops, and big chain restaurants are no more than 10-20 minutes away.

Small Miscommunication but Enjoyed

Casa Gretna Treehouse

Staying in Mt Gretna was delightful. The area is very cozy, the houses all around are all very interesting, and during the winter it seems at times like you have the whole town to yourself. The property was well furnished, the owners were very responsive to communication, and our stay was very comfortable. There was a small communication issue regarding the Hot Tub which we were not aware was the inflatable sort, and is not operational during the winter which was disappointing, but the owners made it right with a small re-imbursement and offer of a discount on future stays. Only other complaint is the kitchen equipment is a little scarce so if you plan on cooking make sure to bring everything you need with you.
