Here’s the final version with that adjustment:
We had a great long weekend stay at Holly’s campsite from Thursday to Sunday. Holly was an excellent host with great communication leading up to our visit. She met us on arrival, helped us find a spot to park our smaller fifth wheel, and made sure we were settled in. The site was easy to navigate, and we fit with no problem. It was level and had good access to the river, which was beautiful. There were a couple of sandy spots along the riverbank that would have been perfect for swimming if the weather had been warmer. We wished we could have gotten the fifth wheel down to the lower area even closer to the river.
We were fortunate to be the only reservation during our stay. If the cabin or pavilion had been occupied, it might have felt less private, but for us, it was peaceful. One thing we learned is that this location is dog-friendly, and our daughter is quite nervous around dogs. Holly was very understanding and kept her dogs on a leash, which made a big difference in allowing our daughter to relax.
Holly also brought us water, and the portable fire pit worked great. We enjoyed watching the barges on the river and hearing the occasional train in the distance. The sky was clear, and without any light pollution, the stargazing was incredible.
The only downside was the neighboring property. They were having a party with loud music and off-road vehicles. The revving engines went on all evening Friday and didn’t stop until afte
