Maumee river & Metroparks are here!
The cabin is lovely, the view is great, and Chuck & Anya provide wonderful amenities for guests! We stayed just one night on a road trip and it was an incredible break after days of tent camping in the rain; we'll definitely be booking again if we happen to be in the area!

Peace and Relaxation!
Absolutely amazing hospitality! As a pastor it's hard to find peace and relaxation away and that's exactly what the cabin delivered! The view was stunning, a family of deer walked through the field right behind it, it had everything I needed, and it had the perfect spot to launch my kayak. Everything was perfect and even the outhouse was immaculate! I will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone I know!

We loved our stay at Chuck's cabin. Everything was clean from the cabin to the land. In the morning we watched the wildlife; then during the day we fished. It was such a nice place to visit we want to go back in the near future.

We absolutely loved our visit to “Uncle Chuck’s” cabin. Everything exceeded my expectations. The views, the cabin, the river we’re all spectacular! There is a possibility of his neighbors being at there cabins, but I really expect that if they did happen to be using them it wouldn’t take away from your experience. We had the land all to ourselves and it was honestly hard to drive home:) I know I will be going back to this spot without hesitation. Thank you Chuck for sharing your slice of paradise:)

Staying during a storm
Chuck and his wife greeted me instantly when I arrived at their house, where I followed Chuck to the cabin. Chuck showed me around and got me setup. The outhouse was fully stocked with hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies and was truly a breeze to use and very clean. They had wood chopped and kindling and paper for making a fire and provided charcoal for a small grill they also provided. There is a generator that gives you electricity at the cabin, this was very helpful for charging my phone and reading books after the sun started to set. The cabin itself is cozy, with a small wood stove that I am eager to return and use. The loft stairs are easily put up and down, though if you have mobility challenges (or are scared of heights) you may want to sleep on the futon that folds down on the first floor. There's a little kitchen table, a coffee kurig thing, and a microwave. The front porch is an excellent spot with 2 rocking chairs provided looking out over the river. It stormed and rained a lot during my 3 night stay, and the porch was a great place to sit and read/relax and watch the storm out over the water without getting wet. There is a row boat that I did not end up taking out because of all the storming, but I plan to the next time I stay.It would also be a great spot to launch your own kayak or canoe. Chuck said you can swim there but being as I was alone I decided I wouldn't(the weather really made that decision for me as well). There are nearby metro parks all directions
