Learn more about this land: THIS PROPERTY IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED--PLEASE REFER BACK ON JUNE 1, 2024 FOR AVAILIBILITY, THANK YOU For your privacy we have 101 Acres of mixed land for primitive camping  and  Dark Sky fields for Amateur Astronomers--  Forest, field, shady or sunny  for primitive camping! You may pick your own type of  site after hiking and viewing the land.   During your stay leave your car in the parking field and let us know if you need help moving your equipment.  Campsite is  5 miles to the Town of Jefferson where you may eat and be entertained at the local Jefferson restaurants or travel north into Town of Stamford or south to Cobleskill. Check out the local tourist attractions as we are basically cental to all.

    Primative Camp at Dark Sky Retreat
    Wide open dark skies
    Diane was very sweet and went above and beyond. The land had several large open fields that were mowed, complete with wide open dark skies for stargazing. You can choose any spot you'd like. No picnic tables or fire rings (when we went), so plan accordingly. The outhouse is very nice and the area was very quiet (except for some road noise). We walked the private trail that was on the land and it was very pretty and peaceful. She Gave us some recommendations on things to do the next day and we ended up having an amazing time! This was all a very last minute change of plans for us. We booked and she responded immediately. Told her we'd be there in 10 minutes and she met us in 15! Definitely recommend!
