Great location!

I enjoyed staying at Christie’s Hipcamp. Her driveway is nice and level easy to back in and out of. Neighborhood is in a great location. I felt very safe sleeping in my minivan camper. Christy is very nice and hospitable. She gave me lots of information about things to do in the surrounding area. This is a great spot to sleep and to explore Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park andBar Harbor. Great location.
I also really liked Southwest Harbor .
I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in this area.

Christie was very responsive and welcoming. I booked day-of, and she gave great directions to get to the parking spot. Bonus I was not expecting was a $5 hot shower in the morning. Will be staying here again next time I'm in Bar Harbor. Super convenient spot close to everything in Acadia.

Great off-season option

Christie’s spot is super convenient for everything Acadia NP has to offer. All sights were within 15 minutes drive. Christie is a friendly host with lots of spot-on recommendations. Her spot is on a quiet cul-de-sac with a handful of houses. Driveway is flat, easy to park our self-contained van. Use of bathroom, shower and WiFi are available for small additional fees. We had a great time exploring: seawall at sunrise, carriage roads by bike, thunderhole. Cadillac Mt., and quiet off-season Bar Harbor. Highly recommend “Milkweed & Catnip”!

What a great place to stay to explore Acadia. The property is in a quiet neighbourhood to get a good night of sleep after your day. Christie is super nice and answer quickly, she gives good recommendations.

Christie’s Hipcamp is in the center of Mt Desert island, ideal for accessing great trails and outdoor adventures without much driving. She’s a most kind host, willing to share what she knows about the many special places within Acadia National Park. I’ll be back.

Great place!

Christie’s place was great - within a 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia! Since she’s worked with the national parks most of her career, she gave us such great recommendations!! She made us feel very welcomed, it was perfect for a cheap place to stay while enjoying the park :)

Just Book It!!!

Not only was Christie an amazing hostess, but she answered all my questions about where to go and what to see in Acadia NP. She's a wealth of information! Her Hipcamp is level, quiet, and provides easy access to the park while away from the crowd. For a small fee I could do laundry and take a hot shower! This is a terrific spot for a Class B camper van. I would highly recommend Milkweed & Catnip!

Great communication and nice location. I booked this at the last minute after I'd gotten a spot on a Maine Adubon pelagic trip out of Bar Harbor. All the campgrounds were full and I wasn't looking for a hotel. I'm so glad I came across Millkweed and Catnip. Very quiet neighborhood and the stars were amazing!

This spot is in the perfect place in the park! You can easily access all of the popular areas or the hidden gems on the west side. The driveway is flat and the neighborhood is very cute. Christie was warm and welcoming, and as she is an employee of the park service, she gave me some awesome recommendations for spots to visit in the park. I will definitely be staying here again when I want to camp out in Acadia.

Great Quiet Location & Kind Host!

This Hipcamp was very conveniently located on the island and a great place for us to stay in our self contained campervan while exploring nearby Bar Harbor and different spots around Acadia. It was a quiet and quaint little neighborhood. The host was very kind, responsive, and accommodating to us! We would absolutely come back again next time we are in the area.
