We thoroughly enjoyed camping at the riverbank site. It was a delightful experience to use the canoe. Exel, a friendly and attentive host, ensured our comfort during our stay. While the potable water is a bit of a walk (about 5 minutes), the restroom is conveniently located just two minutes away. As long as you’re comfortable with this slight inconvenience, this is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in a beautiful natural setting.

Perfect Gateway to National Parks

The pictures on the platform don't do justice, the property is huge and completely forgot we were camping on private property. It was also a great place for us to use our rooftop tent since national parks don't allow them. Exel made our stay enjoyable and was very responsive, super excited to see what else he's going to do to the property. He has so many great ideas. Look forward to staying here in the future again!

Amazing experience camping for 1st

Beautiful and quiet felt like I was with nature. Just the escape I needed to spend quality time with my boyfriend and be with nature and experience something new. Especially my first time really camping and being in a roof top tent which was an amazing experience would highly recommend Exels property he was super friendly and helpful and even gave us some places to view near the location and helped us when we heard an animal on top of our tent. He responds fast and very respectful and friendly. Will definitely visit again and stay here again. Thank you for the amazing memories.

Camping with doggies!

We booked Exel's campground for 2 nights on a Yosemite/Bass Lake trip with a small trailer. Directions to find the place were easy to follow. Wi-fi worked good. Host was very responsive when asked about access to water. We chose a spot with a cute hammock, which was a nice touch. The grass dried up (June) but I would imagine the place would be much more gorgeous during spring time when things are more green and lush. You can hike a little distance for access to the river. We had 4 dogs so I definitely appreciated their dog-friendliness. (The family on the property had several dogs as well.) Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this site.

Hmmm it is ok (and honestly having a riverside campsite is quite cool), but there are a few caveats. 1) 4wd definitely a must. 2) The river and beach is a common area shared by everyone including the airbnb guests and host (all left by sundown but not exactly a private campsite). 3) Potable water, bathrooms, and showers all questionable. But all in all if you’re ok with a shared experience and don’t mind driving on sand, might be your vibe. Just watch out, because the dogs will try to pee on your tent

The campsite is beautiful but too crowded. The reservation was supposed to be for my family and me, but when we arrived, there were already three other families there, which surprised us because the app stated that the sites were dispersed and private. When I went to speak with Mr. Exel, he said he had listed the campsites on other apps and that they had been overbooked, but he also didn’t speak to the other families to explain what had happened. There were four families sharing one campsite, which is not ideal or what you would expect upon arrival. However, we had all traveled from far away and couldn’t just turn back, so we agreed to share the space for the weekend. The portable toilets are placed way too far, requiring a considerable walk. The app also mentioned there would be potable water, but when we asked, they said they didn’t recommend drinking it, although they sold bottled water. They also advertised having WiFi, but it was only available near the bathrooms and never actually connected. In short, this place lacks a lot of organization and needs to learn from its mistakes

Honestly everybody was great. Sites were clean and private. Bring lots of ice. They have a small convenience store and are continuing improvements on the property. A hidden gem!! Highly recommend and my dog was able to be free and enjoy himself. Loved it

Please AVOID this location. I've been using Hipcamp for the past few years and have never had as bad of an experience as this one. This was dvertised as private spacious camp sites, which is an outright lie! There were 3 families in the same location with 2 more that were supposed to show up but ended up turning around. There was space for 2 camp sites if you were in a packed campground and you had a 4x4 that could drive over a small creek. Two families had to set up 5 feet from each other. All 3 of us were pissed at the situation and one family left early because they were so dissappinted. Not only was the description a complete lie, there is also an Airbnb just above the campsite. There was a raging party going on past 11 pm one night until we went up to where the host stays and had him shut it down. His excuse was they weren't supposed to have parties.... He lives right next to the house and it took us walking up there pissed off in the middle of the night for him to shut it down. The river access is apparently also for the airbnb and whoever camps at the top of the proeprety, so don't expect a private river area either. Requested a refund and nothing but crickets or even a response from the host. I have now opened up a complaint with Hipcamp and trying to get my money back. Again, please steer clear of this site!

It was an amazing spot would definitely go back again loved how secluded it was not like a normal campground water does have a strong current in some areas so be aware before entering but over alll ima say 10 out of 10 thanks for having us

I loved the privacy of my campsite, and my dog loved it more than I, since she got to explore and act like a dog. The host is doing a lot of work to this property with regular improvements. It is close to Yosemite but with less bear risk. I love the layout of this previous ranch (horse/cattle/roping?), and it includes water frontage as well with an available site there too. I'd definitely recommend this property for safe camping near Yosemite!
