No packing up the camper, trailer hookups, towing on wild highways, backing up and parking, loud neighbors but instead... complete privacy, a fully outfitted camper with all the interior amenities you could dream of (think fully equipped kitchen, games, books, bedding, toilet paper - we've got it all) a propane fire pit, already chopped firewood for the WOOD FIRE HOT TUB under the stars, a solar outdoor shower to rinse yourself off, a large curved deck with a table and chairs. Depending on the season you may even find a fridge stocked with farm fresh eggs.
The property that the campsite is located on is also fully gated so you won't have to worry about security and your privacy. Unless you need something you'll be fully left alone and safe.
PLEASE note that Vintage Camping Trailers are petite. The walking path from the front to the back of the trailer is narrow. The bed is a FULL size mattress. That being said, we did spring for a very tall mattress so once you're in the bed you will be as comfy as possible. This camping experience is best for those who are also petite. Tall travelers may find the height of the inside shower and the entire camper a bit cramped. Additionally, the bed can most definitely fit two sleepers but please ensure you comfortably fit on a full size mattress before you commit. Remember, the spirit of this stay is luxury camping, but it's still camping.

Dungeness island tent camp sites are open now, with a new foot bridge for accessing the campsites. It is a 300 ft walk from parking place to the campsites.
Dungeness Island is just that - a small island in the middle of the beautiful Dungeness River. Surrounded by forest and beautiful mountain and river views with many trails to explore, swimming holes and shallow water for pets and kids play.. It really is a destination as well as a great camping experience. Even though trails go through the Salmon Pool and Pic/Nap sites, other campers do not access those trails when Site 2 and; 3 are occupied. The trails are not accessible to the public as they are on private property. Alternative routes to the Salmon Pool and main river bank are available to guests not occupying trail campsites.
1: the Dungeness Wanderer site is to the north with easy access to the main river, woodland trails abound, with one that is a 1/4 mile walk to the Dungeness Railroad Bridge Park, as well as to some of the best swimming and fishing holes on the river.
Site 2 is The Dungeness nap and picnic site is on the trail that leads to a peaceful riverbank spot to picnic - or nap and enjoy the peaceful, relaxing sound of the river. The riverside trail downstream to the Nature Center/Railroad Bridge Park is access able to all campers.
The salmon pool trail is the 3rd site and is located on the trail that leads out to the east bank of the main river where one will be mesmerized by the the King Salmon and Pink Salmon now resting in the pools that will soon be full of the wild Coho run, followed by the hatchery Coho run. Stay awhile and wander the Dungeness to your hearts content.

Each site can accommodate two RV’s or just a bunch of tents. You will have full access to the parcel allowing you to explore or just hang out at the river. We are pet friendly. Well behaved dogs can be off leash this vacation.
The nearest towns are Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., Just minutes from Sequim you’ll find restaurants, wineries and grocery stores.
The nearest attractions are Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Discovery Trail, Ferry Dock to Victoria B.C., Lake Crescent, and Hoh Rainforest where you can enjoy activities such as: boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, winter activities, hiking, biking, etc. Also, you can ride directly from the campsite to some fabulous mountain biking trails at Dungeness Trails.

This is a working farm, we have animals, dirt, sticks, bugs, poop, and lots of opportunities to "connect" with Nature. All of our amenities are shared spaces, designed to foster community. You will find signs posted around the property with clear communication. All of our lodgings are off-grid with no electricity or running water. Water, electricity, and WIFI are available in the shared kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounging areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted.

1.5 acre plot located west of Port Townsend near Cape George and Discovery Trail. This forest meadow is a peaceful, private spot to rest and relax when you are not having adventures on the Olympic Peninsula. Perfect for RVs, Camper Trailers, Vans, and Tents!
The entire property is rented as a single camp site, so there is maximum privacy and solitude compared to a multi-site venue like Ft Worden State Park. Green Acre Camp is located in a semi-residential, semi-rural area of unincorporated Port Townsend, only 10-15 min drive to main restaurants, grocery stores, and attractions of downtown Port Townsend.
RV power pedestal with 30a, 50a, and standard 20a/120v plugs. Pack-in, Pack-out; there is no toilet, sink, or shower.
Large vehicles/trailers/5th wheels are welcome!
Enter the property on private dirt road connected to Hastings Ave and you may park anywhere in the upper field immediately on left when you enter the driveway. There is a locked shed that houses the well pump, and you can use the water spigot and hose. Water is potable lab tested.
New 2026: Adirondack chairs and moveable metal fire pit (when burn ban not in effect)
Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and flat. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the driveway, Finally the “back field” is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field.
In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population.
Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

This Deer Park Hip Camp site was very nice. It was private and peaceful, surrounded by nature. We saw lots of deer, which was lovely. We did not use the electrical or water plug-ins, but appreciated that they were there if we needed them. We did use the sewer hookup before we left which was very convenient. We appreciated the instructions on how to align it with our camper. Getting into the camping space was very easy.
There were chickens in a coop nearby the site, but they were very quiet and slept in late, lol. I forgot they were there most of the time.
Definitely will stay here again, and I recommend this Hipcamp to others!

We had a good time at John Wayne's Waterfront Resort! The facilities were great, the hosts were very responsive prior to our arrival, and the location was really good. The only downside was that the 'waterfront' campsites were just off a busy road and a parking lot away from the water rather than *on* the water, which was not really nice. The ones by the forest were better in that regard. Either way, it was a good place, with great hosts and we would stay there again.

Wow! My new favorite Hipcamp. Campsite #1 was pristine, and Richard has thought of everything. It’s right on the calm river in such a peaceful setting, with amenities you don’t normally get at a site with this much privacy. Hookups, WiFi, fire pit for cooking, a very clean porta-potty. We loved the wide-open space & it’s easy to see how much thought & love the Host has put into this spot. Doggie bags were even provided! Zero issues—could not recommend this spot more.

I loved this spot. I was the only one camping and was in spot 5, which had a great view of the sunset. It was easy to find, and clean. The porta potty was pretty clean and convenient. it was a peaceful night after the generators shut off of the folks who live there (around 10pm). I would stay again.

The site is well taken care of and secluded. There is a slight trek bringing gear to and from the car but the carts provided made it very manageable. My wife and I had a great time and would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to camp near Port Angeles!

Very serene landscape here. We stayed at campsite 2 which was very spacious and sat quaintly on the stream. Plenty of space to roam. We did have to deal with a group of small children from campsite 1 parading through our campsite several times. The hosts Richard and Victoria were very responsive and super nice and helpful people. The next group that set up camp at campsite 1 were super quiet. Hopefully most people are courteous of other’s privacy. There’s plenty of space at each campsite to not run into each other much at all. Our golden retrievers really enjoyed playing in the creek. The river is beautiful, but pretty strong current so be careful! Water and power at the site. Dumping at the Chevron in town was very easy. We saw a mama deer and her tiny baby visit the stream. Super cute. Thanks for the memories.

Kateen and Co. are a source of inspiration for anyone desiring to create harmony with the land. The space is carefully curated to hold simple visitors, permaculturists, nature-lovers, and anyone just needing a reset amongst the blooming garden and sacred forest. There are numerous places to find quiet and connection within, or to venture about the garden and play with the many creatures (two-legged, four-legged, winged).
It was the perfect place to get work done as a mountain man entrepreneur, and to learn from the many passers-by. I recommend this sanctuary of a place to anyone desiring to learn more about themselves, the land, and our relationship of reciprocity to it.

We had a lovely time on Robin’s land! The Salmon Pool site felt secluded and private. Being so close to the river was a big plus, we enjoyed swimming and wading. We were also impressed with how peaceful and quiet it was for being so close to Highway 101. Robin was a great host and made sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. We will be back!

Amazing property, great hosts! The views were spectacular, especially from the winery's tasting room. Things to note for travelers (July camping) - Bring bug spray, one night we were eaten alive, the other two nights zero mosquitoes. Bring sun screen, it was hot and no shade. Bring tent stakes, the wind was wild.
Still can't believe what a great weekend we had.
