Along the beautiful Tahquamenon River, deep in the similarly named state park, you can find a series of stunning waterfalls. Some of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River, Tahquamenon Falls is split into the upper and lower falls.
The upper falls consist of a 200 ft wide waterfall that plummets into the cool rushing waters below. The lower falls are five individual waterfalls that wrap themselves around an island only reachable by paddleboats rented nearby.
