First time using Hipcamp, and definitely not the last, thanks to Cory! Site 1 doesn’t have many photos, but it’s actually way better than we thought. it’s really spacious and the levitating tent was really nice. We also got half a dozen fresh farm eggs which was a nice touch to the experience. I’ll definitely come back to this spot whenever I’m in the UP.

First solo camp!

Cory was great! Welcoming and accommodating. Tent site was better than the pictures and gave a great deal peace and quiet only nature can offer. Also great location as it’s right near a gas station and breakfast spot! Cory was also very understanding for a slight, self-imposed hiccup which was managed in only a couple messages back and forth. Would definitely stay here again if I end up in the same area again.

Amazing weekend getaway

Amazing location, beautiful property and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Close to most major sight seeing areas and lots of things to do to keep you busy. Hosts were very accommodating and hospitable providing anything extra we might’ve needed plus more. Highly recommend staying here if you’re up in the area and we will definitely be back!

We managed to fit 2 adults and 2 kids (age 4 and 6) up in the tent and stayed warm enough in that 44 degree weather! Kids did great and enjoyed the experience. Now they expect to hang our tent here at home. We are not large people and our 2 kids are small and young so it worked fine for us within the 500 lb weight limit. We had a great vacation in MI, thank you for being a part of it. An adventure for sure!

Beautiful beautiful place to stay! It's super nice to be so well taken care of at a more rustic site like this, we had chairs, and a table to prepare food on, as well as a fire pit and the tent! Tent is great. It doesn't work well to sleep two side by side, because of the tent seams and structure, but can comfortably sleep 3 separately on the floor! I stayed here 8mo pregnant and slept great if that tells you anything (we used camping mats) Cory is a fantastic host, very responsive and understanding. Favorite hipcamp site

New Twist to Tent Camping

My wife and I are seniors and tent camp a few times a year as well as hot tent camp in February. We were foing the Mackinaw Bridge walk on Labor Day and wanted to camp but travel light because we had to get up early and hit the road. We decided to try a new twist to camping and tried the dome. Enjoyed it we like trying new things, Cory was a great host welcomed us explained the lights answered our questions then left us to enjoy.

Site 2 Camping Pod

Camping in the Site 2 Pod will be one of the most memorable experiences for my family and I! It was truly amazing. There are all the amenities to be comfortable and very close to downtown Newberry, which was very convenient with having a 4 year old. Cory is extremely kind and really cares about his sites and the people visiting and we can’t wait to be back!

Host was amazing! I did not spend a ton of time at the site due to having pre-planned touristy events. My booking was very last minute, I booked at almost 8pm and arrived at 1030ish. Despite that, he brought the wood i purchased down and even started a fire for me. Area was clean and well manicured. Host graciously allowed me the time I needed to pack up post injury (helped saving someone from drowning broke some ribs on rocks. I will be revisiting this site this fall and likely this coming spring as well..

Unique, fun stay. Campsite was great. The skydome was roomy and a cool experience. Only downsize was getting in, a little bit of a challenge for tall folks. But we managed and really enjoyed our visit.

Fun levitating tent!

We really enjoyed our stay at the levitating tent. It felt sort of like sleeping in a hammock and was comfortable for two adults, but would be tight for more. It stormed pretty badly, but the tent felt very stable throughout. The landscape is amazing (cool birds by the pond).

The levitating tent was comfortable and water tight. A neat experience! Large campsite with room for another tent and our car. Cory and his wife are very responsive and caring. They put a lot into maintaining the campsite. Very private. Central to a lot of attractions in the UP. Highly reccomend!

The hole for the tent was too small for my wife to get into. The platform to climb on was also too low to get into the tent comfortability. We did not stay.

This is our first time staying in a structure, not our tent! The pod was such a fun and whimsical option for my husband and I, we loved the quiet beauty of the woods, and Cory’s fun options for cookery in the campsite - tripod for over fire, a wood stove - it would be a great place to hang out and play. It’s located an easy drive from Pictures Rocks and its marvelous hikes and water recreation, Tahquamenon Falls is nearby, and the Superior shore. We loved this site as a magical exploration hub. Thanks, Cory, for a beautiful stay!

Cool stay!

The camp was unique and fun to stay at! The host was super helpful. The sky pod was comfortable and the site felt secluded. The fan and lights in the sky pod were a nice touch! The bathroom was just a short walk through woods and easy to find. I would recommend this site to anyone wanting to explore the UP.

Cory's land was just great it had everything we needed a bathroom, ready made elevated tent, lights hung up for a cute vibe and fire pit. Was a great location close to the falls. sight 1 is closest to the bathroom.

Decent campsite with nice host. The levitating tent is an interesting concept, but not the most comfortable for sleeping in (although if you enjoy the feeling of sleeping in a hammock, you might enjoy the levitating tent). A bit of road noise from a nearby highway and also occasional traffic on the nearby private road.
