This magnificent 660-acre park is situated off scenic Highway 128. As you explore this 11-mile tunnel to the sea, you might spot blacktail deer frolicking in a second growth redwood forest.
The water is inviting, too. Kayakers and canoers dip their paddles in the winter and spring. Summer is the best time for swimmers— there's both salt and freshwater areas here.
This park is also popular with anglers, both human and winged alike. The prime pickings make it a fave for river going birds such as the belted kingfisher.
