The property is one acre of rural woods. One and a half miles down the ridge and across the Albion Bridge is a campground with canoeing, fishing, and small beach. Mendocino Village is 7 miles and Fort Bragg is 17 miles. At the bottom of Albion Ridge Road is a restaurant called the Ledford House. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the restaurant. The surrounding area offers hiking, kayaking and fishing in the Noyo Harbor. House of Trees has NO cooking facilities inside or outside. Food to go can be warmed up in the toaster oven or toast made in the morning. I have provided a notebook with some of the restaurant menus in the area. The fire ban has been lifted so you can have a bonfire in the garden which is also not for cooking. 3/6/24 In late spring or early summer, I will have the sink I purchased installed with hot and cold running water. I will also provide a gas grill with a side burner for cooking outside only. Looking forward to being able to provide these amenities for my guests.Basically a nice place to spend the night allowing campers to explore the beautiful coast. Coffee maker, toaster oven, Queen sized bed, claw foot bathtub and shower. Small refrigerator. Stocked with glass wear, paper plates and utensils. This she shed sits behind my cabin. It is 2 years old. Picnic table and chairs on the deck are provided. There is no cooking inside or outside.

Stay more than one night!

Such a beautiful woodland getaway and close to the shore and downtown Mendocino. Janice’s cabin in the woods has everything you need and more for a comfortable and luxurious stay nestled beneath the trees. She even had a few items for breakfast and coffee in the fridge for us! My only regret is both staying longer.

Janice knows what’s up

What a wonderful stay! Janice put a lot of thought and care into her Hipcamp home. The home was very well equipped with cups, plates, coffee fixings, towels, blankets, pillows. The bed was very comfortable! We also had a thunderstorm while we were there and that was an incredible experience. 10/10 would love to come back!

Cozy stay on the coast!

Janice's House of Trees is a dream! Janice has thought of everything with so many lovely details. The bed is super comfy, the shower is nice and hot and it was warm and cozy - even in the winter temperatures. A great place to stay so close to Mendocino and so much else to explore. Will definitely be back!

What a stellar find! Thank you for the hospitality. It was such a great place to stay for so many reasons but exceptional 1) because of the communication and hospitality 2) the cozy bathtub and all of the thoughtful features 3) during the rain- so magical!
