Learn more about this land: Primitive camping at it's best! Dave's campsite is a secluded 2.5 acre site located 15 minutes from Joshua Tree park. Only 3 miles of dirt road that is accessible to low profile vehicles. It is a especially beautiful and private place in the hills between Lander’s and Hidden River straight east of Flamingo Heights. This is a great option for camping in a quiet and private area away from the crowded public camp grounds. Only natural desert and star filled night sky to see in every direction. Privacy shield for bathroom, changing and shower use. Homey bucket with  bags on site I do recommend to bring your own portable toilet, bucket and bio bags. Strictly no bury on site.Primitive camping at it's best! Dave's campsite is a secluded 2.5 acre site located 15 minutes from Joshua Tree park. Dave's campsite offers a secluded escape into the serene expanse of the desert, perfect for those seeking peace and privacy. Many visitors appreciate the stunning sunsets and the clear, star-filled skies that add magic to the evenings. The campsite is close enough to Joshua Tree National Park, making it a convenient spot for park-goers. However, the journey in can be challenging, especially at night, and the occasional noise from nearby properties or ATVs might disrupt the tranquility.

Privacy, quiet, and epic views
16 ft car
Great private spot with open desert views. Off of a dirt road and we barely saw any cars. Epic sunset views, wonderfully quiet, complete with fire pit and hammock poles. The listing said there was a privacy shelter, but it was missing. So plan on bringing a pop up shelter for your portable toilet, shower, or to change. Didn’t detract from the great spot. We’ll definitely be back :) getting away from crowded campgrounds was bliss.

20 ft pop-up camper
Exactly as advertised. If you're looking for privacy, this is it. It's just a piece of isolated desert but has great sunset views.

Off Grid Oasis
17 ft campervan
Dave's spot was the perfect off grid oasis. Close to Joshua Tree National Park and easy to access. Virtually no houses in sight. Easy to access in my van with simple instructions to get to the site. I wouldn't try to get there by night without having scouted it out before. Sunset and sunrise were worth being there. For me it was all about the privacy and peace of the site.

Very private spot. No designated spot to pitch your tent so get ready to clear out rocks.
