I'm located between Wisconsin Dells and Lyndon Station on a cozy little 3-acre corner lot at the intersection of Highway 12 and Oak Glen Circle. The property is mostly wooded with beautiful white oak trees that I've done my best to preserve. It's spacious and features several small hiking trails that wind throughout the property. Each year, I welcome nesting bluebirds, robins, and ruby-throated hummingbirds. You'll also find several bird feeders that attract a wide variety of birds, along with squirrels, rabbits, and woodchucks that call the property home. Please note: I do have neighboring homes nearby, but it's a very quiet neighborhood of homeowners with no noisy renters. Nearby Attractions Wisconsin Dells – Just 3 miles away, offering endless attractions, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. River Bay – Only 2 miles away, with Wisconsin River access and a public boat launch. Bring your boat and experience one of the best stretches of the Wisconsin River. The fishing is excellent, too. Dells Motor Speedway – Just 1 mile away. Races are held every Saturday night, and the speedway has a long history of racing tradition. It's always an exciting experience, and I've been attending since I was a kid. Chubby's Exotic Resort – Located just 1 mile away. Everyone is welcome. Chubby's is a premier club offering one of the best experiences of its kind in the state. The Edge – Located directly across the street from Chubby's, The Edge is family-friendly and features live music on weekends, along with a full food menu. Please contact them directly for more information. There's no shortage of things to do in the area. Wisconsin Dells offers a tremendous variety of attractions, restaurants, and outdoor recreation. I'm new to Hipcamp and am always looking for ways to improve the camping experience for my guests. "The Twenty" is a neat campsite right on the Little Wolf River. This land has been in my family for generations. My dad tells stories of fishing the holes while they made hay when he was a kid. Definitely fishing opportunities, as well as floating down the river (tube, canoe, kayak, sup). There's a nice swimming hole right out from the campsite. The other property is on my pasture-based farm. It's a few miles from the Little Wolf. There is the "FarmStay" Camper, as well as a couple campsites nestled in the woods with a great views of the pastures, woods, and wetlands. We've also recently added a pond that's able to be used by our guests to swim in! There are 100+ acres that can explored on this 100% pasture-based beef operation. We're working on improving the trails. It's beautiful out there! Farm tours and canoe/tube rental available. The surrounding area has a TON of activities to offer for water fun and exploring! We LOVE our Driftless neighborhood in SW Wisconsin and can recommend many amazing activities for everyone from fisherman to families! We're close to shopping, antiquing, Amishing and good eating. We're within a half hour of 3 great rail trails, two state parks and one amazing ATV rental. Go to an old-fashioned drive in movie, a local farmers market, dirt-track stock care races, tractor pulls, a u-pick apple farm or a Toy Train Museum. Go kayaking, boating or biking - you can rent what you need. Or sit on one of the porches to watch the chickens peck and the pigs dig. We can't wait to introduce you to all the livestock, cats, our Great Pyrr Willie and our Border Heeler Dolly! We are a five minute walk from our cute downtown with a playground, library and several great places to eat. Ten minutes from New Glarus Brewery. A half hour from Mineral Point (Fall Art Tour), Mount Horeb (Troll Way), Dodgeville (House on the Rock) and Monroe (Cheese Days). Fifteen minutes from hiking, fishing and boating at Yellowstone Lake State Park. Campfire with s'mores every night, coffee and scones in the morning. Wifi is reliable on some spots on the property, and a sure thing on the front breakfast porch. We do require a two-night minimum to stay in the campers. Tent camping we have no minimum. The English Pale Campground is located along the Black River in Jackson County, 1 mile west of the Village of Melrose. The entire property only allows guests and occupants who are 21 or older. Sites/house can be booked 6 months in advance. The main campground is 70 feet elevation above the river, so the beach access paths have 14% grade change . We have 5 rustic (no hook-ups) RV/Travel Trailer/Tent sites "up top", a fully furnished “Manor” House, a travel trailer as well as 2 rustic beach sites and 2 rustic river sites that are located along the river. The property is a total of 70 acres, which includes the 4+ acre beach, a mile of river front and trails through the woods that connect them all. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: The river edge erosion wall construction is complete however it suffered extensive damage. The area will need to be repaired this summer (July and August) but not on weekends. The English Pale opened in 2021 and is a developing property. In November 2025 an erosion wall was built along the Black River. This included clearing of a section of the forest, building a gravel access road using 3" base gravel, and an riprap river wall to prevent further erosion. Since 2016 over 60 feet of the riverbank has washed away. ATV/UTV/golfcarts are allow to operate on gravel pathways without any permits. This includes up to but NOT on the beach. A permit from management must be obtained for ATV/UTVs to operate ON the beach. Our property offers a reasonable expectation of privacy and we do not offer day passes as our target guests are campers. We are an adult only property, but not a nudist campground, as that is not our central theme. We do not prohibit our guests from nudity for the purpose of sunbathing on the beach, campsites or sundeck, but nudity is not allowed in general common areas. Part of our nature is allowing discreet nudity for tanning purposes. While we target couples for time together, singles and groups are welcome. The land was absolutely beautiful! I’d pay to stay out there in a tent. Gorgeous. The “shack” was super cozy. Host made sure that I knew it had rained and the road would be soft, so I rented a 4x4 Jeep, and it was perfect.

The outside of the house and sitting area. Daryll has chairs there so we didn’t have to bring our! That was helpful as we have a Honda Fit!

We have tent camped here a couple times before, always a nice time. With the changing weather we decided to rent the tiny house instead, and might I add, it did not disappoint. Super cute cabin with everything you need to cook inside or out. The loft bed was very cool and enjoyed a nice selection of games and reading material. A perfect place for small families to disappear for awhile and get that up north experience.

We have stayed at this little slice of heaven a few times. We love that Roy has opened up this slice of heaven for others to enjoy. if you love fishing and nature, this is the place! Roy is a great guy, All the wood is cut , if you need anything he will bring it to you. We were there for this visit for 5 days, I caught around 130 fish, bass and blue gill, saw muskrats, heard loons and an owl in the distance, saw cranes, A baby fawn, then next day baby fawn with mom, several different type birds, cardinals, ducks, red wing black birds, many different types, a few turtles. Wonderful place, for peace and quiet.

This was our first camping experience as a family without extended family along. We definitely got our exercise in. Beautiful spot! We want to return and have learned more about what we need to pack when the weather turns a little bit colder. We loved the sauna and the beautiful Lake Superior beach access.

Weekend Trip to River Forest Campground & Rafting

We absolutely loved our stay in Cabin Amanita! The camp staff were incredibly welcoming and full of recommendations. They remembered who we were the next day, and even shared photos that we knew we'd love. The cabin itself was really charming. Even though it's attached to a larger campground, it felt very secluded, which is exactly what our fearful dog needed. He and our other pup were in heaven, having a large area around the cabin to sniff around. Hanging out with a campfire after a day of hiking was heaven. We definitely want to come back some day- we didn't even get to visit a fraction of what there was in the area! One thing to note is that toilets, water access, etc are a short walk from the cabin. Toilets are maybe a one minute walk, water access maybe three minutes. The camp store is just a minute walk away, and has both essentials and fun things (like ice cream).

This is a quite private cabin sitting on the edge of a large pond. Loved the quiet and the porta-potty was close. Great friendly host. Peace and quiet among the farms. We loved staying there. Even has limited electric to charge up electronics.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to ‘glamp’, look no further! Echo valley farm is made up of a handful of rustic cabins (no plumbing, but yes electricity) that offered my wife and I a nice place to cook a few meals, listen to the birds, have a fire, and rest our heads. The shared outdoor shower served us well after a day floating down the nearby Kickapoo River. Dena was a very accommodating host that made sure we had everything we needed. Being able to buy some cinnamon rolls from their bakery was the cherry on top. The overall vibe offers a nice mix of humble farmer, DIY, community dwelling energy that we greatly enjoyed. Bonus points for the library of books on homesteading, straw clay house construction, and poetry. We definitely plan to come back.

Weekend Trip to Purplehaze Acres

Great little cabin isolated on a hill above the owner's main property. Small but cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable few days' stay. Bed/loft up top is great for sleeping with several large windows up top allowing a nice cross breeze. Stove is ultra convenient and the pump-driven sink is a nice olde-tyme touch but actually works quite well. Hosts were very friendly and even delivered fresh eggs from their chickens once morning, which were very good when cooked up the next morning. I wouldn't try to put more than two people in here if you want to enjoy yourself, or maybe one adult and two small children. Having a toilet in the house is super convenient, especially with kids, but no door on the area contributes to some unpleasant scents sometimes. Cabin could also use a few quick fixes to seal gaps, replace/remove broken/nonfunctional electronics/lighting, and remove random nails and screws stocking out of random areas. Also the "greenhouse" behind the cabin is a nice idea but is completely destroyed and in a state of total disrepair/overgrowth which kind of detracts from the experience pictured. Not reasons I wouldn't visit again, just some refining touches and repairs that would help deliver a consistent experience from booking to visit.

Cute little cabin on a private pond! Roy is a great host! A small boat is left in the water for the guests to use. A tank of clean water was on the picnic table. The firepit is very nice and plenty of firewood was supplied! Portapotty is a nice amenity, it’s not the cleanest, but plenty of toilet paper was supplied. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking to get away from civilization for a bit!

We loved "glamping" in one of Camp Amnicon's adirondack-style cabins. It was so cool to be perched on the shore of Lake Superior AND we got to see a porcupine! We'd love to camp here again.
