Back in the 1800s the land conditions were ideal for a raspberry farm. The original settler's barn and farmhouse were still standing in 1960 when our family obtained the land. Since then, old buildings have diminished back to Earth. What used to be a small creek is now a small pond and trout stream. We have a cabin, outhouse, outdoor shower and other camping accommodations depending on the camping experience you are looking for!

Camp Shin-Go-Beek is a youth summer camp located in central Wisconsin. When we're not running summer camp, we open the property up to Hipcampers. We have multiple large campsites for tent camping. The property is located on 2 quiet lakes, with great opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating. The swimming area has a great beach and a diving raft (depending on the season). We also have a large dining hall for indoor activities, and several outdoor program areas. We are just south of the Chain-o-lakes and Waupaca, so there's plenty to do a short drive away.

This farm is unique in that it was cleared and stripped of its topsoil and its fill was sold off to the state. What was left behind was a pond and some poor farmland. I purchased this less desirable property inexpensively and have been working tirelessly to regenerate the property to a farm that mimics nature and our natural ecosystem. I have planted over 1000 trees and perennial shrubs to move this property into an oak savannah-like natural farming system. In 2015 I purchased this property without any farming experience and have begun to transform this property into a beautiful destination. "The Twenty" is a neat campsite right on the Little Wolf River. This land has been in my family for generations. My dad tells stories of fishing the holes while they made hay when he was a kid. Definitely fishing opportunities, as well as floating down the river (tube, canoe, kayak, sup). There's a nice swimming hole right out from the campsite.
The other property is on my pasture-based farm. It's a few miles from the Little Wolf. There is the "FarmStay" Camper, as well as a couple campsites nestled in the woods with a great views of the pastures, woods, and wetlands.
We've also recently added a pond that's able to be used by our guests to swim in!
There are 100+ acres that can explored on this 100% pasture-based beef operation. We're working on improving the trails. It's beautiful out there!
Farm tours and canoe/tube rental available.

Riley Crest Farm is located in Amherst, Wisconsin. Close to Hartman Creek St Park, on the north side of Hwy 54. We are diversified farm. We have a small herd of dairy cows, 50 dairy/meat goats, a horse named Willow and mule named Molly, a couple pigs or chickens in the summer, lots of cats. We specialize in goats for meat. Grazing girls roam 30 acres of pasture close to camping. Our goats are very friendly. We are currently not milking goats. We sell eggs and meat from our farm store.
We have a spring fed 3 acre pond to paddle around if the water level is high enough. Swimming not recommended. Primitive tent and camper sites available. We welcome horses, bring your own fence. Trails on farm for walking or riding and close to Hartman Creek State Park trails. Dogs are okay, but must be on a leash for the safety of our livestock. Our on site camper offers a bathroom, no shower. Gas generator to run electricity is included for lights and basic appliances. Bring your own water containers, available to fill at the farm. We can accommodate larger groups. You can book the whole site for private setting too. Welcome to the farm!

A private sanctuary with 30 acres located just north of Waupaca's Chain O' Lakes with groomed hiking and/or biking trails. Terrain is varied with ponds, hills, and valleys. Shower, potable water, and rec room available.
PLEASE NOTE with heavy rain all wheel drive (AWD) is needed to park next to your site. If you don't have AWD, there's parking by the rec room. We can transport you to your site if there are issues.

I appreciated how well they accommodated us and helped with some little things we needed. Swimming in the river and using the kayaks and SUPs was great! We had everything we needed! The sites were spacious and close to the parking. Lots of shade for the hot days. There is road noise nearby and train noise but otherwise everything was great!

This stay was soo perfect!! Everything you need is already there ready and available. We didn’t stay all that long so we really didn’t get to do a whole lot at the actual location, but they have a grill, games, hammocks, hot tub. Literally everything you could need to have a good time. The area is absolutely stunning and the hosts are so kinda and accommodating. It’s dog friendly which is a huge plus. I would definitely stay here again.

The site was pretty nice. Very level which makes setting up the camper super easy. Unfortunately the free firewood was pretty wet. When we asked for some drier stuff, the host said we could buy some down the road. Once we got the fires going with drier stuff, we were able to make the wet stuff work.
Love that the boat landing and swimming area is just a short walk away. Kids were able to easily carry the kayaks down to the lake from the campsite. A little noisy with all the ATV traffic to the lake during the day but much quieter after dark. Great fun fishing for kids right off the boat landing dock. Lots of smaller fish to eat the bait and keep them entertained, though most were not of keeping size.
Overall it's a great site and will likely stay again.

We really enjoyed Camp Shin-go-beek. The campsite was huge. Some huge wins. Potable water on-site. Tools to put our your fire (rake/5gal bucket). The beach had row boats/canoes/kayaks and PFDs.
The walk to the beach was easy and well maintained. Very private experience. We only crossed one other group.
Tons of wild life. The fishing was sub par (lake as a whole), but the overall experience was stellar.
