This 4th generation grass valley floor at sea level includes views of Mt. Baker & Rainer. Surrounded by retired culinary herb fields and planted cow corn to the west. Every year our fields flood and hold at least 3 feet of water, hence we only offer seasonal camping. Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. This is a gated property, protected with a code, which you will be sent 24 hours before your arrival. Please be sure to read arrival instructions!
The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons.
When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach.
A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing.
Pets are welcome, there are private outhouses at each campsite. These outhouses are protected with a code, which is sent to you 24 hours before your arrival. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

I always enjoy staying at this park-like camp spot. It's very kind of Carly to offer this lovely opportunity year after year. It's so much more peaceful camping here than it would be at the fairgrounds with the races going on. A relaxing dip in the hot tub in the evening, while watching the sunset is just the ticket after a hard days work! Don't hesitate to stay here if you get the chance!

Paula was the perfect host, and her granddaughter was such a sweetheart! Gorgeous and meticulous property … they have put so much thought into every inch to make it special and have plans to make it even more amazing in the future! Having a lovely (and hot) outdoor shower was such a luxury! Traveling as a single woman, I felt extremely safe on their property. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back again!

The camp site on Paula’s land was exactly what I wanted! Located near the foothills of the Cascade range, you get all of Mother Nature with just the right amount of modern amenities.
While there is snow shower in the winter months, there is a toilet and potable water available. Highly recommended for a tent site if you are looking to get away from the crowds. P.S. although I didn’t stay in the cabins, they looked very cozy and modern!!

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and it was amazing! Paula is a great host. The site was quiet which cannot be said of traditional camping options. The shower set up was right out of a spa, so relaxing during a rain shower. The location is great with a quick walk to the river and a short drive to town. We plan to check out the cabins next time.

The shuttle option was so helpful and there's an all around great vibe with the community and property that made the whole experience really pleasant. Tera had the perfect set up for an awesome festival weekend at Remlinger! The shuttle service was really convenient, and it was great camping with the community of festival attendees. Getting back after the long day, we were greeted with chairs set up around bonfires to relax and hang out with other campers. It was wonderful and I'd love to come back again!
