Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. This is a gated property, protected with a code, which you will be sent 24 hours before your arrival.
The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons.
When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach.
A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing.
Pets are welcome, there are private outhouses at each campsite. These outhouses are protected with a code, which is sent to you 24 hours before your arrival. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

This 4th generation grass valley floor at sea level includes views of Mt. Baker & Rainer. Surrounded by retired culinary herb fields and planted cow corn to the west. Our family has lived and worked this farm since 1912. Originally the fields were used to grow peas (1940's), dairy (1950-1960's), black angus (1970-1980's), hogs & dairy replacement heifers (1990's) & fresh culinary herbs for the grocery stores (last 20 years).
Every year our fields flood and hold at least 3 feet of water, hence we only offer seasonal camping. Feel free to use anything in the yard, porch deck, Chairs and Toilet in Bunk House... including games and things at the rear of the 5th wheel.
Fire Ban is usually on during the Summer, but small camp cooking fires are still allowed. DO NOT leave fire unattended.

Paula was the perfect host, and her granddaughter was such a sweetheart! Gorgeous and meticulous property … they have put so much thought into every inch to make it special and have plans to make it even more amazing in the future! Having a lovely (and hot) outdoor shower was such a luxury! Traveling as a single woman, I felt extremely safe on their property. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back again!

I really liked the forest with trails leading to Soaring Eagle Park. Lots of hiking opportunities. I found the Rockin Z to be very peaceful. I only needed water and electricity which were conveniently located in the large sites. Hearing and seeing the horses was a nice bonus. This was a very nice place to camp while visiting family.

I stayed at site 2 with my pup and it was MAGICAL. This particular site is the furthered back so you have the most privacy, and easy access to the river. Plenty of space to set up camp, large picnic table, and a big fire pit. This would be a great site for groups!

This spot is gorgeous! And Raven's roost is nice and private. It is very large and has a great picnic table and grill. Dave came by briefly and said hi and that we could enjoy the space afterwards. It was a great weekend and we hiked up to bridal falls as well. Gorgeous!

Really beautiful views of Mr Pilchuck during the time of year I went. My friends and I pitched tents and car camped at the riverside camp site. Marvin’s land is tranquil and beautiful. I fell asleep listening to the sounds of the river every night. Marvin was extremely generous and let us use the majority of the space on his property since we were the only campers at the time. There are perfect hammocking trees along the river’s edge. The property is almost entirely fenced to the next door properties but there are a few gaps that neighborhood dogs would often come to visit through. My friends, our dogs, and I had an amazing time and loved the experience Marvin’s land had to offer.

Very serene place, getting there was easy and they had firewood out in a common area you could grab and pay over the phone. The trails were nice that were nearby. The other campsites are within view but its a really wide open space and they are far away so it still felt pretty private. Overall great spot for a nice easy trip. Would definitely recommend for families wanting space to run around for activities.
