Northeast of Seattle, not far from where the Skykomish, Snohomish, and Snoqualmie rivers converge, the small city of Monroe is a great option if you want to park close to both Seattle and the winery town of Woodinville, plus the trails, rivers, and forests of Washington’s Cascade Mountains. There are loads of RV camping options in the Monroe area, ranging from RV-friendly campgrounds to family farms that welcome Hipcampers looking for a quiet place to set up camp. Some even offer easy river access along with picnic tables and canoe rentals. Many are located east of town along Washington State Highway 2 or directly south in Duvall. There are also public camping options in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, but not all are RV-friendly and many—particularly those at higher elevations—close annually due to snowfall.
