So beautiful! Lake area is great with lots of picnic tables and boats/paddle-boats/ other activities to rent! Camp host was lovely and I felt very welcome. Campsites have tons of room :) everything you need and in a great location close to the national park and the little historic Winthrop town.

Great spot for young kids! Quick walk to multiple river access points, nice clean bathroom. Sites were large and clean, with a good mix of shade and sun. Lorrie was a very friendly and accommodating host.

Great spot with lovely views! Jared was very welcoming and helpful. Porta-potty was clean. Several have mentioned the neighbors' dogs... we heard them but they didn't bother us at all - if anything, they added to the experience.

Beautiful private setting near a river on a spacious ranch surrounded by hills and irrigated fields. Tall trees provide shade and bird habitat. River proximity demands bug spray but invites cold plunges or casual wading. Ample property offers interesting walking paths and pasture proximity. Horseback rides were a great option and thoroughly enjoyable even for this equine neophyte. Recommend communicating early to validate check in expectations.

This spot is beautiful and extremely peaceful and relaxing! It's a large open area with a ton of room that's is maintained very well. Dan was a wonderful host and we will definitely recommend this spot.

The directions were a little confusing and the bathroom was nowhere to be found, but other than that it was a beautiful spot right on the river. We had plenty of privacy and plenty of space for three vehicles and 5 people. I would definitely recommend!

i loved camping here. the views were incredible and it was so peaceful being able to hear and see the river. the sauna, shower, and laundry machines were also added bonuses.

Weekend Trip to Chewack River Guest Ranch

This campsite was a wonderful spot shaded among pine trees only a few steps from the refreshing waters of a near by river. Don was a very kind camp host, and got us all squared away. You definitely have the place to yourself, just you and the wildlife. We had a great experience camping at this spot, and will be back next time we are in the area.

Kragnes Family Farm Mt Baker Camp

Our 28 acres are located in between maple falls and glacier, Wa, directly on Mt Baker Hwy on the way to Beautiful Mt Baker. Ben and I run a chemical free farm, on which we raise 7 and 1/2 acres of veggie and flower. 15 acres of pastureland on which we raise pasture raised chicken, as well as biannual lamb and beef. The remainder of our land is breathtaking pacific northwest forest that is boarded by the Bay to Baker trail. Our campsites range between walk in wooded sites, and car camping sites that are open field sites next to the tree line. We provide wagons in our cart corral area to make it more convenient for the very short walk in. ( no more then a 200 foot walk in) We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy for lounging and picnics. The Bay to Baker trail borders our property, so it is just steps away and includes a 45 min round walk to a quaint little waterfall (maple falls). As well as a nature loop trail. You can also walk the other direction on the trail over a boardwalk and up to the Nooksack river. This direction walks along the back of the farm and allows you to see the veggie fields from a distance. There is a conservation area, just a quarter mile drive down the road. With access to the Nooksack river, that includes several nice swimming spots and a couple nice walking trials. Silver Lake is just 3.8 miles away. It has a great recreation area, fun for the whole family. Just a heads up , you will probably lose service on your drive up here. But you will get service back when you are here. We suggest putting the map in your phone before you leave. Google maps will take you just past the farm, and apple maps will stop you too soon. So you are looking for the large kragnes family farms sign in the driveway. pull in and follo the camping signs to the back.

Please note the following about The Field: The Field is exactly that - a large, open, grassy field. There are no shade trees so it is recommended that you bring your own shade, if you desire any. The Field does not have any lighting - it is recommended that you do not arrive after dark. The Silverline Resort is a no generator park, however we do allow generators to be used in The Field, but they must be turned off during quiet hours (10pm - 8am). All external noise devices must also be turned off during these hours. Fires are allowed until Washington State or Okanogan County issue their annual summer burn ban. It is a different date each season, feel free to email the day before your stay to check if one has been issued for your dates. Please book 1 site per tent or trailer. Assigned tent/RV sites within our campground must be booked through our direct website - they can not be booked through HipCamp. Adventure Basecamp is a tranquil, primitive camp nestled in a cedar grove at the end of a private, unpaved road less than a quarter mile off Mt Baker Hwy in Maple Falls, WA. It is the perfect stopover for hiking or skiing Mt Baker or stage yourself here for a weekend of world class mountain biking, hiking or fishing. In camp, level parking pads are tucked in amongst the cedars and a communal picnic/seasonal fire area sits in the center. Peace and quiet greets you here...it's just you, the fauna and flora, and an occasional motorcycle passing by. Watch the sun set over a meadow to the west, marvel at the night sky, a stand of firs lies to the north, and the property is bordered to the east by a private logging road. Vehicles must be fully self contained to stay here; tent camping is not permitted. Adventure awaits you in Maple Falls! It is situated along the Nooksack River at the base of Mt Baker in the North Cascades. Outdoor recreation abounds...mountain bike, hike, fish, forage, paddle, ski, snowshoe, find a swimming hole...or simply drive 50 minutes up to Artist's Point with a picnic and soak in the beauty. When hanging around camp, stroll into town to shop at Crossroads Grocery and/or have a chat and a bevie at Barmann Cellars. Bay to Baker Trail, Red Mountain and the Nooksack are also accessible on foot or bike from camp. We are 10 min to North Fork Brewery and Silver Lake Park, 15 min to Glacier, 45 min to the Mt Baker ski area and 35 min to Bham. Plan to unplug...cell service is dodgy! The property is 3.5 acres over 2 parcels. It was heavily wooded and untended when we purchased last year and has recently been logged. Driving onto the property you'll pass the future garden site, outbuilding, homeowners' cabin, timber for milling and firewood, and, at the end of the road, you arrive at the tidy basecamp. In camp, there is a mound of hog fuel (mulch), a byproduct of logging that we will utilize, and the first stage of a hugelkultur berm that we are building to plant fruit trees. Beyond the basecamp, remnants from the logging project are visible. Sithmaith is a special property, and she is a work in progress.

There is power and a honey bucket for your convenience. There is NO running water, you will need to pack in and out your own water, food, and trash. To get to the river there is a trail to the right of the property that is public land, along with the trails to the river. It's just a short 5 min walk to the beach. The water can be really cold and swift so please be careful and mindful! All of the properties that are along the river are privately owned. There is no noise restriction or curfew as you might find in a camp ground. There also multi use trails for humans and small off road vehicles. They are friendly and watch for pedestrians as far as we have experienced. Warning⚠️ friendly dog alert! Reedus is the nextdoor neighbor’s dog and has lived off leash all of his life. He is very friendly even though he looks big. He just wants to say hi. If you aren’t dog people or are afraid of them this might not be the property for you.
