What a lovely little hideaway. If you want to camp near to Winthrop but don’t want to have to deal with loud neighbors this is your stay. We loved the close river access (2 min walk), cattle and deer nearby and the lovely hosts. We’ll be back!

My husband and I traveled 7 hours to find our favorite site was closed due to fire, so we had to come up with a quick backup plan. Luckily this was available. Once we got to the site we felt very secluded, and the beach at the river access was a delightful way to pass the day. It’s close enough to Winthrop that it was an easy drive to refill the cooler. The hosts were very friendly and helpful if needed, otherwise we didn’t see them.

Booked the spot last minute on the way to Winthrop, so glad we did, we loved that it was secluded and just one camping spot with no one else around and river access and a sandy beach. If you plan on going in the river, make sure you bring water shoes or a sandals since it's a tad hard to get out past feet

This was one of our favorite spots to date. The host swiftly met us and brought us to our site. We found ourselves in a large clearing in the canyon, under large trees with 2 picnic tables, a fire pit and a trail right down to the water's edge. The bank had a sandy beach where we immediately kicked off our sandals and buried our toes in the sand. We found our dogs would skip off to the water throughout our stay - it was their favorite place to dip and drink. We set up camp chairs on the beach and relaxed by the water for most of our stay - it was just perfect. The pit toilet is conveniently located a short walk from the site, and having the picnic tables right there made this a convenient spot to settle and relax. We would have loved to stay longer. We highly recommend this gorgous spot!

Beautiful property, ridiculously serene spot on the gorgeous Chewuch River. Our two pups and us loved relaxing, watching the deer pass by, and listening to birds, squirrels, and chipmunks around the campsite. Thank you so much for hosting, we can't wait to come back!
Christine’s land was perfect for a quiet getaway. It is on a farm, so you do hear animals from a far distance. It was not annoying whatsoever. Plenty of room for larger tents or even multiple tents. The river access was really nice for sitting next to with a cocktail or early morning coffee. The toilet is a little bit of a walk, but I always bring my own.

We enjoyed this lovely, private spot close to the Chewack River.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Hipcamp! The site was spacious and very private, with beautifully maintained grounds and direct access to the river—it truly felt like our own little retreat in nature. The location was also perfect, just a short drive to town yet peaceful and secluded.
The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our trip was the 2-hour horseback ride—an unforgettable adventure that the entire family loved!
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a serene getaway with great amenities and amazing hosts.
Wonderful quiet spot on a river!! Had a beautiful stay.
Beautiful private setting near a river on a spacious ranch surrounded by hills and irrigated fields. Tall trees provide shade and bird habitat. River proximity demands bug spray but invites cold plunges or casual wading. Ample property offers interesting walking paths and pasture proximity. Horseback rides were a great option and thoroughly enjoyable even for this equine neophyte. Recommend communicating early to validate check in expectations.

This campsite was a wonderful spot shaded among pine trees only a few steps from the refreshing waters of a near by river. Don was a very kind camp host, and got us all squared away. You definitely have the place to yourself, just you and the wildlife. We had a great experience camping at this spot, and will be back next time we are in the area.
We had an amazing stay on Christine’s property! It is so private and beautiful. The view of the ranch, hills, and river were stunning. We had so much space for our dog to run around and to set up our camp. We highly recommend it and we will be back!

Of our 24 Hipcamp stays to date, this location ranks for us, at the top. A very quiet and private location with short access to the River. Directions and communication were great. The site was level and had a convenient picnic table.

The site was very quite. Only the river sound to sleep by. I enjoyed the room my dogs and I had and the beautiful ranch lands including horses, cattle and the deer that wondered through. If you don't mind a cow patty or two, this is a great getaway.
