The Field at Silverline Resort
Big campsite with great views and lots of tables and fire pits.
I was under the impression it was just a big field that was a free for all, but it was in fact an actual campground with all the things you need.
We camped here for a night after all the first come first serve campsites near Maple Loop Trail were taken up. It was about 45 min away.
I would love to come back in summer and actually hang in the lake and stay at the campsite longer to explore the area.

The Field at Silverline Resort
The site offers a beautiful view of the mountains, but it was challenging to find a spot without thistles to pitch our tent. We eventually found an area with a great mountain view and no thistles, but it turned out to be full of ground wasp nests. There’s also no shade, so I recommend bringing a canopy. Additionally, the water spigots are not nearby. We ended up relocating to another campsite in a nearby state park once some spots became available. A small on-site store with a nice staff and swim area was nice.

Very close to town! Safe and peaceful place to car camp solo! Clean bathrooms and trash disposal available. Verizon had 1-2 bars of cell service to text family!

It was exactly as the description. There is an outhouse near the field but if you walked further you could use the main RV restrooms and showers, which you need quarters for!

We were tent camping on The Field during 4th of July weekend.
This is a lovely campsite - the pitches as pretty much flat. There's great shop and pay showers a short walk from The Field. There's a pancake breakfast - not sure if it's just weekend or everyday. On The Field site, there is no shade so make sure that you take that into account. Winthrop is a short drive away and nice for a walk around.
Should it be important for you, cell coverage (at least for us) was spotty to non-existent.
There's access to the beach and water. It looked nice but we only walked past - the kids were having fun though!

The facility, and the camping accommodations were great. It was a nice open field and we got to pick our own spot. The views were incredible and the onsite bathroom and portapotty were clean. The only thing we had an issue with was finding clean water. Every spigot or sink we found had brown/green water that smelled really bad.
By the time we needed water the office was already closed, and we couldn’t find anyone to direct us to other water sources.
Otherwise, beautiful facility and grounds. Would stay here again, and just bring my own water.

Originally planned to camp in the field, but the good folks at Silverline Resort offered a site by the lake. The folks at Silverline Resort were very accommodating and friendly. We had to pay the difference between the field and the site by the lake but it was well worth it.

Overall, we had a great experience. Nice views and a lot of space to let the dogs run around but we couldn’t do fires or there was no running water out there. No picnic tables. Literally just a patch of grass, but it’s still a nice area.

It was a great place to stay for the night- far enough away from the hustle and bustle of RV campers, lovely lake, super friendly staff. And dog-friendly! We would definitely stay here again.

The location is nice and quiet, and a really good little stop over along US20! We’ll stay again, but likely won’t opt for The Field again as there was no shelter and little flat space which made setting up our roof top tent tricky

Literally camping in a field. Not going to lie, it was HOT as there was no shade. However, we enjoyed the lake (swimming and fishing) and the staff were friendly. I did find the showers clean (took quarters).
There was a bathroom on the field that was also clean. At night the mosquitoes were out and tons of wasps. Be prepared.

Dispersed camping area - pass!

I stayed in the dispersed camping area. Was told that it was a large field and easily accessible to pull behind campers and RVs. Disperse camping is a large hill with a little flat spot on top. Not an easy ride for a rig and trying to get in and out was difficult at best. Finding a level spot for a small camper, not easily found. The main part of the regular campground was very tight together. Seemed like it had a nice beach on the lake.

It was nice to be away from the crowds at the lake site. The Porta potty hadn't been serviced in quite a while and was very very full. Picnic tables at each site would really a great addition.

We arrive at 730pm and paperwork was ready for us outside in the late arrival section. We arrived before dark and we found a nice spot in the field.
We walked down to the bathrooms and the lake to soak our feet. What a beautiful site at sunset.
The place was clean and quiet, especially after 10pm.
We wished we weren't just passing through and made a note to visit again for a longer stay.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Silverline Resort! This was my first experience with Hipcamp, and didn’t know what to expect but loved how easy it was to use and checking in at the resort was a breeze! Definitely would stay again next time we’re in the area!

They were pretty views of the mountains and lots of space and privacy. Swimming the lake felt great at the end of a hot day. The only fault with the field at all was a lack of shade. We got the only shade bush in the entire field.

Dishonest, terrible communication

The Field at Silverline Resort
- Booked a 3-night stay at a Hipcamp site based on their information stating "no generator" and no campfires in the field area.
- Prior to arriving, we received reminders that generators and campfires were not allowed.
- Arrived on July 7th with a 2024 29-foot Rockwood travel trailer, equipped with 2 Maxx air fans, 2 solar panels, and blackout shades.
- At check-in, we were verbally informed that campfires were allowed but generators were not.
- Directed to fill our water tank at site 37, causing a blockage for other vehicles due to the layout.
- The water we filled up with was brown, necessitating a 20-minute drive to the nearest store for bottled water.
- The field area had over 30 vehicles, but we found an unlevel spot due to the large space.
- The temperature exceeded 100 degrees.
- Other campers were using generators despite the initial no-generator rule.
- The waterfront area was dominated by a rental section for ski-doos and other gasoline-powered rentals, which was twice the size of the swim beach. Gasoline smells permeated the area.
- The swim beach was lined with tents and had at least twice as many guests as it could support.
- Left after one night due to the conditions.
- Contacted Heidi, who confirmed that generators were allowed in the field and acknowledged the brown water was safe to drink. She mentioned they tell guests no generators and no campfires to ensure guests are pleased upon arrival when finding these are allowed.

If you stay on the field, there will be lot of RVs going through. Had to deal with an arrival of massive group of 4RVs, 5+ truck at 11:30 at night. Not the quietest place.

What a lovely family resort! Will come back again. The owners were friendly and sweet. They worked hard to keep the bathrooms clean and keep trash picked up. So many options for water activities.
Be aware that in the Field there is no shade and it can get windy at night so plan accordingly 🩷

Three friends and I pitched tents in the field at Silverline. It was a gorgeous weekend - the field is really big, so there was tons of privacy. No matter where you are in the field, you’ll have a great view. There’s a porta potty right there, it’s 5 minutes walk to the lake, 3 minutes walk to the flush toilets and showers. This was such a nice campsite! It’s well organized- pancake breakfast on the weekends are a bonus. FYI, hipcamps website is wrong- campfires are allowed in the fire rings in the field. There aren’t that many fire rings- maybe 10 tops- so come early if you want to get one. We appreciated the garbage pickup and firewood delivery right to our site! Thanks for the great weekend- we will definitely be back

Hosts were fantastic, answered all of our questions, and offered upgrade to a better spot that opened up due to a cancelation. We choose to stay with our reservation. Very peaceful camping. The swimming area was perfect for our kiddos. They enjoyed the sandy beach and the roped off swimming area. The store has last-minute items that one might need, and prices were very reasonable. They offered rentals for boats, jet skis, paddle boats, etc. A cute mini golf course on site. We will be adding this to our favorite camp spot list.
