Camping at Ross Lake gives new meaning to “getting off the grid”. Tucked deep in the North Cascades of Washington, this reservoir isn’t accessible by car (on the U.S. side, anyway). You can hike in —or, paddle from Diablo Lake up Riprap Creek and portage your boat overland to Ross Lake.

It takes some effort to get in, but the work is well worth the reward. Wake up to views of snow-capped summits at your lakeside campsite. Fish from the shore, or paddle out into the brilliant blue water.

Feel like a walk? The Pacific Northwest Trail and the East Bank Trail are right in your backyard. Hike along the 23-mile lake toward Canada. On the Sourdough Mountain Trail, you can climb high into the Cascades. From there, the views over North Cascades National Park are breathtaking.

There are 19 campgrounds on Ross Lake, each with 1-7 campsites. Whether you choose a boat-in or trail-accessible site, you’ll need to get a backcountry permit. At Ross Lake Resort, you can rent boats and book floating cabins.

Spring, summer, and fall are the best times for camping in the Ross Lake National Recreation Area. In the winter, heavy snow causes avalanches and road closures. Due to changing water levels, boating is possible from July through September.

LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. We are right next to the Marblemount Boat Launch and within an easy walk into town if you want to visit the local restaurants or need camping gear. Our property has five tent campsites on the river as well as a 26' glamping dome (previously used for artic research) completely painted with a galaxy of the night sky. A converted antique hay trailer turned tiny house with an 8' ceiling loft with 3-way views of the forest and river, deck, and private "magic spot" on the Cascade River. The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. Fresh, clean drinking water, permanent bathrooms and a private shower are available for all campers. An outdoor (completely private) shower is available for those who book the tiny house. Come on up to a magical dreamland in the forest on a winding river! We welcome you to a secluded, yet accessible getaway. You will walk down a winding trail with moss draping from the old forest firs and emerge to an opening in the forest with a welcoming large rock patio, fire ring and well accommodated 20 ft yurt. You can then creep along the trail further and come upon a nice flat, comfy greenery area to pitch multitudes of tents, have a swing in the hammocks, or play some yard games. And yet the magic does not end-- emerge further down the hill and you will come upon the glorious North Fork of the Stillaguamish River. It is mighty during the winter months, but flows to a slow and shallow trickle during the summer making it a wonderful place for romping of children and pets alike. There is also some swim holes if you need to truly cool your skin down. The flowing Stilly has blessed us with a very large sand bar on our side of the river which has an abundance of flat, soft sand to pitch more tents on, and also build castles in for the littles. Lastly, don't forget to catch the fantastic view of White Horse Mountain from the two seats that overlook the river! Catch it during the day or during the night with the moon in front of the mountain. You will never forget it! This is an off-grid property. Please bring your own drinking water. We have an outhouse on sight. The yurt has an audio system with CDs if you so choose to bring in your own portable battery. If it is cold winter months, please be aware that there is no heat source within the yurt. We hope you enjoy this forested river land!

This is waterfront on the river where you can relax, play in the river with your own beach for your stay. It's a Very beautiful private open RV and Trailer Site on the Skagit River. I have currently owned the property for 10 or so years. This is one of my happy places to bring friends and family and relax. This is where we get our river therapy. Nothing better than sitting by the camp fire watching the river flow and listening to the nature. There is a nice big fire pit as well as a log picnic table. Lots of room to lounge around and enjoy the peace and quiet. Watch the eagle and fish on the river as you sit by the campfire. Kayak down the river from RockPort bridge and pull out right at camp. It's about a two and half hour float down with a Kayak right to camp. Close drive to Baker Lake for the day to hike or sight see. An hour or so away from North Cascade Hwy passes. Or if you feel like a drive, head to Winthrop for the day and walk the town. Fishing can be done right at the site or a short walk to the point. Check the fishing regulations for the time of year you want to fish.

Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures). We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both. ATV's are idle in - idle out only. QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them. LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them. If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping) Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, and more! Welcome to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping! Here you will find beautiful and unique places to camp right on the Cascade River, approximately 3 minutes outside of Marblemount, WA. We are right next to the Marblemount Boat Launch and within an easy walk into town if you want to visit the local restaurants or need camping gear. Our property has five tent campsites on the river as well as a 26' glamping dome (previously used for artic research) completely painted with a galaxy of the night sky. A converted antique hay trailer turned tiny house with an 8' ceiling loft with 3-way views of the forest and river, deck, and private "magic spot" on the Cascade River. The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. Fresh, clean drinking water, permanent bathrooms and a private shower are available for all campers. An outdoor (completely private) shower is available for those who book the tiny house. Please note that you must follow any local fire bans. Please check the fire conditions PRIOR to making a campfire. Come on up to a magical dreamland in the forest on a winding river! We welcome you to a secluded, yet accessible getaway. You will walk down a winding trail with moss draping from the old forest firs and emerge to an opening in the forest with a welcoming large rock patio, fire ring and well accommodated 20 ft yurt. You can then creep along the trail further and come upon a nice flat, comfy greenery area to pitch multitudes of tents, have a swing in the hammocks, or play some yard games. And yet the magic does not end-- emerge further down the hill and you will come upon the glorious North Fork of the Stillaguamish River. It is mighty during the winter months, but flows to a slow and shallow trickle during the summer making it a wonderful place for romping of children and pets alike. There is also some swim holes if you need to truly cool your skin down. The flowing Stilly has blessed us with a very large sand bar on our side of the river which has an abundance of flat, soft sand to pitch more tents on, and also build castles in for the littles. Lastly, don't forget to catch the fantastic view of White Horse Mountain from the two seats that overlook the river! Catch it during the day or during the night with the moon in front of the mountain. You will never forget it! This is an off-grid property. Please bring your own drinking water. We have an outhouse on sight. The yurt has an audio system with CDs if you so choose to bring in your own portable battery. If it is cold winter months, please be aware that there is no heat source within the yurt. We hope you enjoy this forested river land!

Marblemount has 3 restaurants open in the summer. The town also a post office. We are 15 minutes from the North Cascades National Park and an entrance to the Pacific Crest Trail. We offer fire wood ($5.00 a bundle), propane fire pits ($10.00 a night, please request ahead via messaging to Heather ) and in season vegetables (price varies depending). You can pay cash or Venmo on site. Please be aware that we have a Firework show for the 4th of July. We really appreciate your interest in our small homestead.

This is waterfront on the river where you can relax, play in the river with your own beach for your stay. It's a Very beautiful private open RV and Trailer Site on the Skagit River. I have currently owned the property for 10 or so years. This is one of my happy places to bring friends and family and relax. This is where we get our river therapy. Nothing better than sitting by the camp fire watching the river flow and listening to the nature. There is a nice big fire pit as well as a log picnic table. Lots of room to lounge around and enjoy the peace and quiet. Watch the eagle and fish on the river as you sit by the campfire. Kayak down the river from RockPort bridge and pull out right at camp. It's about a two and half hour float down with a Kayak right to camp. Close drive to Baker Lake for the day to hike or sight see. An hour or so away from North Cascade Hwy passes. Or if you feel like a drive, head to Winthrop for the day and walk the town. Fishing can be done right at the site or a short walk to the point. Check the fishing regulations for the time of year you want to fish.

It's about a two and half hour float down with a Kayak right to camp. Close drive to Baker Lake for the day to hike or sight see. An hour or so away from North Cascade Hwy passes. Or if you feel like a drive, head to Winthrop for the day and walk the town. Fishing can be done right at the site or a short walk to the point. Check the fishing regulations for the time of year you want to fish.

We had an awesome stay at Zach’s! Epic location. No problems plugging in my Tesla for some car camping before hiking to see the larches on Heather Maple Pass! We walked to the tavern down the road for dinner and met a cool local girl and made friends with the bartender Lori! The shower was such a nice treat after a long hike. Bathrooms were clean and the area was quiet. Trash cans available on site. Would highly recommend this spot!

What a cool experience! The Dome was comfortable and unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before. Definitely did not get cold with the thoughtful amenities: space heaters and blankets. There is firewood available for purchase and the bathrooms are a luxury! The only thing I’d be aware of is that you may not have service upon arrival, so you may not be able to contact Zachary thru the app. There is a code to get into the dome that I didn’t have directly, but luckily we were able to figure it out. Overall, I definitely recommend staying in the galaxy dome!

This arctic dome was such a cool find while hiking in the North Cascades! It had snowed on us on a few hikes so we were glad for some warmth. Both the dome and the restrooms were clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. I did have to bring all of my blankets in because I couldn’t figure out the second heater (skill issue)! There are nice campsites down the trail overlooking the river and they’re really cute for groups! I love how close this was to town for snacks, too.

Situated at the foot of Sauk Mountain, this is forest land. Here you will find cedar, maple, hemlock, and Douglas fir trees. Bordered by a state park, a national forest, and a rushing, spring-fed creek, it is mostly peaceful here. If you are anywhere near the creek, you will hear it. Being right on Highway 20, we do get some traffic noise. And sometimes, the local fire department siren sounds off to call the volunteers. From here, it is about a 35 mile drive to the North Cascades National Park Visitor Center.

This is the river escape you have been dreaming of! With views of Sauk Mountain, Mt. Kulshan/Mt. Baker and Skagit River access that is a 5 min away, heaven on earth can be found here. There is a gazebo for shade and a large concrete slab with a picnic table for you to enjoy. To the right of the gazebo is a grass landing that has room for a few tents. Just behind that grass landing is a fire pit that can be used when fire bans are not in affect. There is also a RV pad with electric hook up. There is a 6 seat swing to take in all the views, a gazebo for shade and a large concrete slab with a picnic table for you to enjoy. There is ample space for tent, car, or RV parking. There is power and a honey bucket for your convenience. There is NO running water, you will need to pack in and out your own water, food, and trash. To get to the river there is a trail to the right of the property that is public land, along with the trails to the river. It's just a short 5 min walk to the beach. The water can be really cold and swift so please be careful and mindful! All of the properties that are along the river are privately owned. There is no noise restriction or curfew as you might find in a camp ground. There also multi use trails for humans and small off road vehicles. They are friendly and watch for pedestrians as far as we have experienced. Warning⚠️ friendly dog alert! Reedus is the nextdoor neighbor’s dog and has lived off leash all of his life. He is very friendly even though he looks big. He just wants to say hi. If you aren’t dog people or are afraid of them this might not be the property for you.

Dispersed camping in "The Field" can be booked through HipCamp, all other sites within the campground must be booked through our direct website. Please note the following about The Field: The Field is exactly that - a large, open, grassy field. There are no shade trees so it is recommended that you bring your own shade, if you desire any. The Field does not have any lighting - it is recommended that you do not arrive after dark. The Silverline Resort is a no generator park, however we do allow generators to be used in The Field, but they must be turned off during quiet hours (10pm - 8am). All external noise devices must also be turned off during these hours. Fires are allowed until Washington State or Okanogan County issue their annual summer burn ban. It is a different date each season, feel free to email the day before your stay to check if one has been issued for your dates. Please book 1 site per tent or trailer. If you have more than one tent or trailer please book additional sites. These sites are dispersed and are first come first served. Assigned tent/RV sites within our campground must be booked through our direct website - they can not be booked through HipCamp. Each site can accommodate up to 4 adults in the same tent/trailer, and up to 4 children in the same tent/trailer. Additional adults or tents/trailers need to book an additional site. Welcome and Hello! We'll be OPENING the FIRST WEEKEND of MAY!! There's the after every winter campground road cleanup/maintenance. Our guests can enjoy being laid back, play music, stay up late, have a couple cocktails/beers and just let the air out of tires, so to speak...Our campground is perfect (we think!) for large groups of people that want a beautiful space for an event, like receptions, family or school reunions, work/corporate campouts, Church events, etc. where you can book the whole campground for yourselves. Or, there are three individual sites you can choose from and book separately on our campground. Two are by the river with wide open view of the river. The third has two entrances, big space, and secluded under a couple of big maple and various other trees without view of the Sauk but has a short and easy path to the river. Drive a little further and you'll find an open area site that also has two entrances. It has a nice wide view of the river with access to the river. It also has an established campfire pit there. The first campsite (the first campsite is the furthest one down) is very secluded as well. Driveway drops down to this site and delivers ample room for a few cars and tents, or rv's. (More on RV's in this listing).. The view of the river is beautiful there and the site features two separate coves on the river. There's a camp trailer down there as well...nothing fancy but we occasionally use it. The electrical needs hooked up and the bathroom hooked up in it. But if you're sick of the rain in your tent and want to get out of the rain, it's there. All three sites are very different from each other. We and the property were introduced to HipCamp last year by another HipCamper. and it's a diamond in the rough. Once you go past our shop and the industrial mechanical views and continue down the driveway it turns into a whole different scene. You'd never know that you're within city limits. Just out in the wild. We're still working on the property to maximize the property's potential. We love this property for its closeness to nature and beautiful scenery! There's lots of diversity in plants, neat rocks all over the place! It's a relaxing getaway and yet close to town and its amenities, including North Mountain Bike Park..

Our lake belongs to the beavers and ducks more than the humans. It’s an amazing place to watch, while swimming is best done at the river, a 5min drive away or half hour walk. A hike through the woods affords many opportunities to discover secret spots carved out of the wilderness with private views of the lake and surrounding properties. The rare wildlife around includes bobcats, bears, cougars, deer, elk and the occasional wolf. Ermine, rabbits and grouse are also common sightings. We have 2 dogs and appreciate a chance to introduce them to your dogs so they understand you’re authorized visitors, once you’ve settled in and your animals are comfortable. While there is a fire ban on it is ok to bring a propane stove or a propane fire pit, but we ask you let us know about it so we can help you site it safely and we can bring you watering cans to have on hand. Our 7 acre property is located between the Stilliguamish River and the Whitehorse trail. It's a mostly forested property with trails through the woods. The central clearing contains our large vegetable garden and our home. We provide a 10x12 furnished wall tent with electricity, lights and an electric kettle, and an outdoor cooking area with potable water a stove and a few pots. There is also a propane firepit. The toilet is an outhouse. The tent is surrounded by trees, thus very private, despite this being a residential area. Near the tent there is a bench overlooking the river and a steep trail to the rocky bank. On your roughly 3 acre part of the property there are trails to stroll through our woods. These will lead to the Whitehorse trail. Turn left 1 mile to Squire Creek and right 1 mile to the old Fortson mill ponds. There are two bicycles available for your use. The Whitehorse Trail is a rail trail suitable for bicycling. You can be in Darrington on a bicycle in about 40 minutes or ride the other direction to Oso in about an hour. In Darrington there is a mountain bike park on North Mountain, a coffee shop and a brewery. Come enjoy nature at it's finest at our lovely campsite!
