This property is located within a gated cabin community called Cascade River Park Club. Your camping lot is located in a beautiful wooded lot surrounded by trees and vegetation, and a creek that wraps around the property. It includes a large fire pit, 8 Adirondack chairs, a bench overlooking the creek, and a picnic table. During a burn ban, we provide a propane fire bowl as well as a propane tank that is available for use but not kept full by us. You can have it filled at Chom's gas station that is 10 minutes from camp. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS SUCH AS BOULDERS AND LOGS. DO NOT DISRUPT THE CREEK'S NATURAL HABITAT BY REARRANGING ROCKS/LOGS. THIS IS HOME TO OUR SALMON. PICK UP ALL GARBAGE NO MATTER HOW SMALL.

Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures).
We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both.
ATV's are idle in - idle out only.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.

We are a short 11 minute drive to the North Cascades National Park! During the winter (typically end of November/early December through April/May) part of Highway 20 and driving access to the park is closed. You are still able to get to our dome using Highway 20 as that part is open all year round, but you are unable to access the park. You are able to drive to the entrance, park and snow shoe in if you'd like.
The part of Highway 20 that is closed is on the west side at milepost 134 at the Ross Dam Trailhead and on the east side, at milepost 171 at the Silver Star Gate, near Mazama.
An alternative hiking destination for the winter months is the Rockport State Park which is only a 4 minute drive from the dome. You are able to purchase a day pass on your phone once you arrive.

Hiking trails through the woods, with a glimpse of Church mountain out the door and just a jaunt to Cornell creek. Bodigers bond across the street and the Mt. Baker/Snoqualamie national forest right out your front door. It's a 1/4 mile from Glacier, Wa and 17 miles from the Mt. Baker ski area. Please note, this cabin accommodates 3 people. I will allow 5 but there is not beds for 5 people. 2 people are welcome to sleep in a tent under the poll barn. There is an additional charge for the 2 extra people. We are located in the foothills of Kulshan (known as Mount Baker), home to the wild and scenic North Fork Nooksack River. Bald Eagle sanctuaries, bike and hiking trails, and paragliding areas are all within easy reach of our land. Year-round recreation abounds from the Cascades to Salish Sea. Two lovely libraries are nearby, and Bellingham and the Canadian border are each within a 30-minute drive.
In addition to tent sites and campervan spots, we have an RV/TIny House parking spot with 50-amp hookup. 20% weekly and 50% monthly discounts available. Dogsitting available while you explore the area... negotiate with my nine-year-old son on this!

The Gem is a beautiful tiny home in a cozy setting in the woods. It has a semi private drive. Hiking trails through the woods, with a glimpse of Church mountain out the door and just a jaunt to Cornell creek. Bodigers bond across the street and the Mt. Baker/Snoqualamie national forest right out your front door. It's a 1/4 mile from Glacier, Wa and 17 miles from the Mt. Baker ski area. Please note, this cabin accommodates 3 people. I will allow 5 but there is not beds for 5 people. 2 people are welcome to sleep in a tent under the poll barn. There is an additional charge for the 2 extra people. We don't allow dogs in the Gem at this time. Feel free to check out our other cabins on the same property. The Nook and The LTC both allow dogs.

This is a beautiful spot and a great base for visiting the national park! The indoor and outdoor amenities were great - we appreciated the snacks, ample resources for cooking, and many options for getting warm (2 electric heaters, hot tub, wood fire stove, and outdoor fire pit). You can see the small road from the dome and hear a bit of highway noise, so it's not fully isolated, but that also makes it quick to get back onto the road to head to the trailhead (it took us about 1 hour to get to the Maple Pass Loop). We also checked out the Barr Creek conservation area about 0.25 miles up the road, which has a very pretty little loop trail.

James and Lisa (and Zeus the dog!) were truly fantastic hosts, giving us a warm welcome into their beautiful and well-equipped campsite area. It was our 4-year-old's first camping experience, and I'd say she had a blast. Being so close to the Chilliwack River and having the chance to enjoy those stunning views is one of the things that make camping at Living Large so great. We would love to go back next summer and would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a wonderful family camping experience!

We had a wonderful stay. The river was beautiful and we loved swimming in it during the heat wave. James and Lisa are wonderful hosts. Loved all the extras at the site -- the outdoor shower stall, the dish cleaning area. They went the extra mile for their guests. They brought out a mister/hose for the kids to play with during a heat wave, loaned some other campers a tent when theirs malfunctioned, and even clean their portapotties daily. This was our first hipcamp experience and we would stay there again. When we were camped there, the high was 35 degrees in chilliwack and we loved how much cooler it was by the river. It got surprisingly chilly at night -- bring layers!

What a great spot :) overlooking the river, as advertised. The shower and the washing station was amazing to have! Loved the sound of the river flowing by at night! The host is very friendly and really has put his heart into this property. It is located on his property but honestly, far enough away from the house that you wouldn’t really know. The visits from the local dogs was great and they were friendly and well behaved. Next time we are hoping to try the glamping tents! Absolutely beautiful inside!
