Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. This is a gated property, protected with a code, which you will be sent 24 hours before your arrival. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are private outhouses at each campsite. These outhouses are protected with a code, which is sent to you 24 hours before your arrival. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

These camps are on a 24 farm with about 3,500' of frontage on the Entiat River. The land's history has included use as pasture, orchards, and flower farm. It's currently identified as a USDA type silvopasture farm. The priority crop is growing native fir trees that will be harvested in 60+ years as telephone poles. During this time, the land will be grazed by a variety of livestock balanced to keep fields and animals healthy and productive. The current owners purchased the farm fall of 2023 from a family estate that owned it since the 1970s. It is considered a legacy project as work progresses to Firewise the land in support of old growth native trees and maximum summer shade for salmon. During the 2025 grazing season, the NE pasture of 5 acres along the river fed 8 Katahdin Sheep. In Spring 2026, bison, cattle, and goats will be moving into the SE pasture of 7 acres that climbs the mountain along the west border. Eagles, Osprey, Red Tail Hawks, Owls, Blue Jays, Chickadees, Beaver, Otter, Martin, American Dippers, Blue Herons, waterfowl, bats, mushrooms, deer, elk, cougar, bear, coyotes, bobcats, and a variety of other interesting birds and bugs abound. Eight minutes off SR 18 lies 11 acres of mostly undeveloped land. Dean's is a beautiful, bare-bones place to rest. Our main driveway is CLOSED this year for repairs. We have alternate arrival instructions for you after you book. These instructions add about 7 minutes (totaling 8 minutes) from SR 18 to the campground. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. Our distant neighbors occasionally indulge in target shooting. We have a brand new neighborhood in construction on one of our property lines. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. Propane stoves are welcome during fire bans. We do not have a check in cut-off time. Reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. The 40+ year old trees and distance between the campsites provides space for you to bring and create your own vibes. Hosts should only approach you with safety or quiet hour concerns. Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the last 7 years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer five listings - a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, retro trailer, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. There is one close to the communal kitchen area, one closer to the field by the barn, and we have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed. -WIFI is available closer to the communal area. LOCATION: 2 miles from downtown Buckley with Blue Max Meats and the Rainier Fresh Country Store for a quick trip down the road for groceries and less than 15 minute drive to Enumclaw with more restaurant options available and Bonney Lake also 15 minutes away with Costco, Fred Meyers etc.

Eight minutes off SR 18 lies 11 acres of mostly undeveloped land. Dean's is a beautiful, bare-bones place to rest. Our main driveway is CLOSED this year for repairs. We have alternate arrival instructions for you after you book. These instructions add about 7 minutes (totaling 8 minutes) from SR 18 to the campground. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. Our distant neighbors occasionally indulge in target shooting. We have a brand new neighborhood in construction on one of our property lines. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. Propane stoves are welcome during fire bans. We do not have a check in cut-off time. Reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. The 40+ year old trees and distance between the campsites provides space for you to bring and create your own vibes. Hosts should only approach you with safety or quiet hour concerns. Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the last 7 years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer five listings - a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, retro trailer, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. Located on Spring Creek Road in Ronald, WA, it is a three minute drive to Lake Cle Elum. It is an hour and a half drive East of Seattle, and a ten minute drive to Roslyn. There is unlimited recreation in the area, including many hiking and riding trails near by. There is plenty of space on the property to bring your boat or ATVs (or rent from The Last Resort)! The power is 110v. We also have high speed WIFI making it easy to work from the campsite. Please note that we do not have water or sewer hookups. There are two picnic tables and a fire pit in a large open area. There is a creek running through the property and string lights leading to it. If you would like to use the propane fire pit table, please bring your own propane tank or you can fill up an empty one that is available at the campsite to use. Earth Biscuits is a sanctuary and a place to enjoy nature Located in Skykomish Washington, a small town 15 minutes from the Stevens Pass Ski Resort and the Pacific Crest Trail. We have 53 acres of a southern facing hill side that runs along the Henry M. Jackson, Wild Sky Wilderness within the Mt. Baker National Forest. We have seven sites for camping. All sites have a fire ring, a table of some sort and a barrel of water for dousing your campfire. All sites have a deck for setting up on. We give each party a clean camping toilet and privacy tent. All campers are welcome to hike up to the cliffs for viewing. The road going into the property is flat and level; however, we reclaimed an old logging road and it takes a jeep or 4-wheel drive truck type vehicle (Subaru makes it all day long for some reason) to get past the switchback as it heads up to the cliffs and camping spots 1-3. Bring binoculars. Be advised that it takes an able-bodied person to get to the top as the trail going to the cliffs is rough. We are laying some ropes but count on your own ability, not the ropes. We have not put in electric hook ups, water, sewage disposal, therefore your rig needs to be self-contained. We offer a clean and sanitary camping toilet for each party. Works well and easy to use. If panning for minerals is your thing there are a couple of seasonal creeks. The property is walking distance to 3 local eateries, a laundromat , a tavern, coffee shop, outfitter, fishing guides, convenience store/gas station. Skykomish is a train community and sports a train park which offers free miniature train rides May thru October. Fun for the kids of all ages. Keep in mind that as a train community there will be trains that rumble through the valley at night. If that bothers you bring ear plugs. There are numerous hiking trails in the area as well as several rivers in the area. The Foss, Beckler, Skykomish and several pristine alpine lakes. Biscuits come to the area for a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including skiing, snow shoeing, rafting, mushroom hunting, rock climbing, quad tours, gold panning, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, mountain rescue instruction or just unplugging from the world below and simply chilling. Pets are welcome however the property is located within the town limits of Skykomish and there is a leash law and you don’t want rover to chase wildlife into the mountains or across the highway and be lost forever. It happens. This area is rich with history from “The Olden Days”. The longest train tunnel in the western hemisphere was constructed through/under these mountains in the early 1900s after the nation’s worst train disaster, an avalanche, took 96 souls. Wellington (site of the disaster) is a short drive, is worth seeing and is wheel chair accessible. Two books written about this, both excellent reads. The White Cascade and Vis Major. During the time of tunnel construction between the logging and rail/tunnel workers there were some 20,000 living and prospering in the Skykomish Valley. They were a hearty rough-and-tumble crowd. Thursday through Sunday there is a museum and art gallery in town. Also, there is abundant wildlife in the area including bear, deer, cougar, bobcat, porcupine, etc. In the event you’re fool hearty, NOT diligent, (lazy) and you leave food items out, that will serve as a chow call for the bears. FULL DISCLOSURE: There hasn’t been a bear attack in a very long time up here, and don’t think you're the bear whisperer because you’re not. That title belongs to Father Earth Biscuit. His ghost wanders the woods at night. I observed him playing poker recently late at night with the Sasquatch and bear that lives in these woods. The bear lost and was angry and was departing the area hoping to find a tasty human but found a nice nest of grubs instead and so he forgot about his people hunt. Unfortunately, just as my camera was ready to take video of the whole affair my battery went dead. I needed to get out of there anyway as to that point I had not been detected by them. But they are there! We biscuits find that bears are people too and they are just trying to fill their calorie needs and they like cheese burgers and chips of any kind with their beer. Don’t leave out the food items. IT WOULD BE A PROVOCATION ON YOUR PART! Enuf said. Hunting/ shooting is strictly forbidden. All state fire restrictions are adhered to. No Rock climbing the cliffs unless you’re an instructor level climber and can show credentials We have planned this as a FAMILY CAMP GROUND therefore, illegal substance users should look for another place. Your rig must be in good condition. No old 1900s models that clutter city streets down below. I hope you understand our intent here. Be advised that Length of stay is limited.

We camped at Ascent Basecamp in mid October and enjoyed our stay that we booked again this last weekend in mid November despite the pouring rain each time because of the beautiful riverside setting and shared covered kitchen with the essential wood stove made it that cozy! The drive to experience the fall leaves and a visit to Leavenworth were calling! I actually loved the trains across the highway and the river sounds which drown out any traffic noise from the highway. The camp caretakers were all helpful and the sauna experience was great the second time after the wood was sorted.

The property is set up nicely with 2 spots. Site A is the easier set up given the location of the elctrical outlet and ease of backing in the trailer. We had the site to ourselves, so this review is based on that. There is plenty of space for yard games, we played a lot of bocce ball, frisbee, kicked a soccer ball around and hung out by the fire for some serious rounds of Uno. The fire bowl is large and offers a great setting near the river. A Bald Eagle graced our presence hovering over the river which was a cool visual. The outhouse has a heat lamp which is suitable for a cold night and made doing the business more comfortable than expected. A very clean site overall. Only down side is the location is right off the hwy, so raod noise is a thing if that bothers you. Also, do not follow google maps, it will take you down Braeburn Rd way past the site. Turning a trailer around was a challenge. As you pull off the hwy onto Braeburn, the lot is the first left. Way easy to find, I was just stuck to maps, so more of a human error. If you take this spot, you will enjoy it.

The fall foliage is gorgeous this time of year and the river made a beautiful backdrop. Porta potty was clean and had a nice heat lamp. Easy in and out for a 31' RV. A little weird having the owners come and go putting stuff in the shed while there. I wouldn't want to stay here if the other site is booked, they're not private at all. Very well kept, beautiful!

We stayed for 2 nights to explore the surrounding area in Carnation, Fall City, and Snoqualmie and this site was perfect. Only 1 RV spot so you don't have any other campers around. Adorable goats, sheep, and pig next to the RV site so we were able to watch them while eating breakfast. Amazing sunrises and beautiful view of the mountains and morning fog. Quiet and serene. Host was incredibly gracious and offered us a farm tour. It was a bit of a tight squeeze to get on the driveway from off the road, but other than that, it was great.

Instructions for arrival were great. We got to campsite after sunset, in the middle of rain, after hiking Colchuck Lake. Finding site was easy, and description is accurate. Was a little concerned about possibility of traffic noise, but Mark was spot on, you won’t hear a thing! Waking up the next morning to the sound of the river was awesome. Facilities were clean, and sauna looked very inviting. We will definitely be back, this site is surrounded by places we want to explore.

A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on. Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter. It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground! Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. Our group-style camping area is ideal for small groups of people or couples. We have a total of 4 spots. Spot #1 is our largest spot, suitable for 4 or 5 two-person or three-person tents. Spot #2 is a bit smaller, ideal for up to 3 medium-sized tents. Spots 3 and 4 are suitable for two small to medium-sized tents. Camp spots are next to each other, so there's not a lot of "wild forest camping" here.  We refer to it as urban camping. All spots are level and graveled. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise in the area, as we are near Highway 2.   There are also picnic tables in the camping area for all campers to use as well as several hammocks.. Access to the river is very nearby. Weekend camping is limited, and you may occasionally hear the sound of a train whistle. WiFi and a fire pit are included, as well as on-site port-a-potties.  Hot outdoor showers are also on-site and available to all rafters and campers. There is a large communal fire pit, but no individual campfire pits; however, the option is to bring a propane stand-alone fire pit.  Fires are allowed in April, May, and June; the fire ban starts on July 1st due to wildfire concerns. No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control and monitored at all times.   Our property features potable water, on-site outdoor showers, and a foot-operated hand wash station.  Our camping area is somewhat small and does not have grass, but it is graveled.  Please be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music at a low to medium volume.  Please bring a photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form.  Additionally, we are a river rafting company, so we may not have anyone present when you arrive - don't worry, we are likely on the river and will return soon!  *** Please message before booking to ensure we are a good match***
