We stayed at tent site 7. I spoke to the camp host on the phone upon arrival and she was super friendly, cordial and informative. Even gave us tips on local restaurants, which we wound up using to eat at Mike's.
We drove through the entire campground to check it out for future trips.
Our site was possibly the most shaded of the tent sites, being set underneath a grove of mixed pines and firs. We liked the shade as it was a warm day. The bathroom for the campground is quite deluxe with a full shower, flush toilets and sink. It was very clean.
The sites are well spaced and private. Some are right next to the beautiful pond, or scattered amongst the trees for the RV sites. The entire campground was quiet and peaceful.
As for background noise, if you listen carefully, you can hear the hum of I90 in the distance, as well as an occasional train, but neither of these kept us from sleeping. There is also an almost constant wind, but we have that at home too, so not a problem for us.
My only recommendations for this camp would be to double check and rewrite the directions, as they currently state to turn left from whichever way you are approaching. And also to give actual mileage of distances from major landmarks to the camp, as we found locating the road somewhat problematic.
As owners of our own Hipcamp, we are very aware of the importance of accurate directions.
That being said, we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to others.
