Heron's Rookery at Yakima River
We loved our stay at the Rookery! The site is quiet and peaceful, despite having neighbors nearby. We didn't see or hear anything from the adjacent properties, and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere by ourselves. The river and surrounding hills are BEAUTIFUL! Full hookups make it a breeze to stay here, as did the easy in-easy out with our 23 ft. trailer.

Great location for a base camp. Close to Roslyn, Cle Elum and hiking and exploring. The sound of I-90 is very loud and there is not much privacy. But the camp was clean and had a picnic table and chairs to use. We brought our camper trailer and the sight did test our backing up skills. Although that is probably not a concern for more experienced folks.

The property was easy to get to and the lot itself was accommodating, Allowing plenty of room to spread out. It was perfectly shaded and the river access was great. If your into fishing, the cutthroat trout were fun to catch!

Awesome spot on the river. With a 29' travel trailer the entrance is a bit narrow with the log barrier, and there is only a 50amp RV plug, no 30 amp, so had to run to town for an adapter. Both minor things. Would certainly camp here again.

My husband and I absolutely loved this site. It was so serene and relaxing. I actually wish I booked it longer. I felt like it was the best place we stayed our entire trip. Jeremy was very helpful with our questions & quick to respond!

We loved this camp site! My wife and I stayed in our truck camper with our 2 dogs. The private riverfront is peaceful and beautiful. The camp area is clean, open, and well graveled with plenty of space for any size vehicles, not to mention electrical and water hookups. We also loved the neighborhood park just steps away with a deeper swimming hole and bball court. It was exactly the getaway we were looking for and we’re already planning a trip back.

AMAZING camping spot. It's right on the river. It's beautiful. I would love to come stay here again for sure!!! We have a 24' bumper puller. We just pulled right in and then backed it out on our departure day. Wonderful location. We floated the river from Ensign boat launch and finished right at the campsite. Very convenient. If you fly fish then yes, stay at this campsite. Thank you very much Jeremy!!!

This site was great, clean and private. Loved sitting around the campfire listening to the birds in the morning. The view of the river is beautiful.
There were chairs, an electrical post and cord and a water hose for use.

Cute spot right on the Yakima River. Brought camping chairs but ended up using the lawn chairs that they had available for us. The site also comes with firewood and a picnic table; definitely a plus. There is a water spigot for cleaning, which was nice. All in all a nice site away from the city with a guaranteed water feature and privacy.

Nice private spot to stay for a night or two near I-90.
Water, electric, and lots of shade for warm summer days. We only saw 2-3 cars driving in the neighborhood the entire time we were there. Eagles and ducks on the river. Three drift boats floating by but otherwise we had the entire neighborhood to ourselves. Thanks for the brief respite from the long road trip journey!

Right on the water! My family and I went fly fishing right off the river from camp and loved every minute of it. The camp’s trees were a great spot to retreat to when the sun was too hot and our group was in need of shade. Would love to come back again!

We loved RV & Tent camping at Heron's Rookery. The site was clean, had a great walk up to the river, and we had a blast hanging around the fire pit. There were hook ups for the RV, which made everything that much easier. Highly recommend!

The spot was clean, level and easy to get in to. The host was responsive to my questions. Right on the river and a quiet country road to walk on. It was just my dog and myself and I felt safe there. Recommend!

There’s reviews I read with people talking about the highway being loud and excessive. With my wife and I being there, it wasn’t an issue at all and the view, sound of the river, and overall peacefulness phased out any other nonsense. Overall, awesome location and I know I’ll be happy to go back to this spot again in the future.

This was a 10/10 stay. My husband, dogs and two kids (3yrs and 7 months) came in our camper beginning of October. It was perfect in every way possible (besides breaking down half way and needing to get our second vehicle to us to keep on keeping on) the river the views, trails and the fact that we had all the hook ups was just bliss. Would have stayed extra days if we knew this would be such a perfect spot.

Clean, right on the river which covers most of the noise from I-90 which is a short distance away. Nice and dark at night. I travel with a cassette toilet; those who don’t have some sort of toileting capability might consider some other option as Heron’s Rookery has none.
