Weekend Trip to Secluded Hillside Camp

An absolute gem of a stay! The canvas tent was nestled in a private area within the hills, surrounded by wildflowers. The tent itself is very nice and has a super comfortable bed. We stayed warm even when the temperatures dropped down to the 30s. I can tell Kellie has put a lot of thought and effort to make a stunning and comfortable "glamping" experience. We were so grateful for the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor stay on her beautiful property.

I visited on May 2nd. The wildflower bloom was in full swing, and the place just looked awesome. From any of the 3 campsites, you don't see the others, so it was pretty private. At the same time, it does not feel very isolated. So, a perfect balance. The night sky indeed was very clear. Due to absence of big trees, the view all around was unobstructed after about 20-30 degrees. So, a PERFECT place for stargazing and astrophotography. The new outhouse certainly helps. I will certainly keep coming back here. Thanks to the host for sharing this little piece of heaven with us.

Chris and Jennifer's HipCamp is fabulous!! The view at their Sunset spot is gorgeous! They have done such a great job with a seating area to watch the sun set (even had yummy cookies for us!) and perfect lighting. The stars are on full display at night, and we had a great dear spotting. Chris and Jennifer were super gracious as we maneuvered our Bean teardrop into the spot. They are dog lovers which was great and allowed our dog to be off leash. Highly recommend!!!

I came with a friend and our boys for a father son camping trip. This was the perfect spot because it had privacy, beautiful views, and was close to town if we needed something for our kids. I was pleasantly surprised that the outhouse was cleaner than a porta potty. We had a memorable weekend with our boys and we are grateful to be able to have stayed here.

1 night at Secluded goat pasture and lake view

Sari and Rick were so lovely. We chatted while petting baby goats after arriving. The property was way high up, a beautiful view of the mountains and Lake Chelan. It was seriously incredible. The Bouquet Barn was cozy as hell, even getting down to 38 at night it was still so warm with the covers and very well insulated. The baby goats and other animals were so cute, and we got some petting in. They have two dogs, Rip and Moose and a little cat named Thomas. All so sweet! I kept leaving the barn to take in the view. Not just from the lake but behind the house, the rolling hills look like a painting. Rick and Sari, thank you for having us so early in the year! It was a much needed break from the city.

It was such a welcoming treat to step into a cozy platform tent here; I had no idea how cool it would be, and on a toasty night where I expected to be out in my own tiny little tent… this was luxury! The hosts were super welcoming and easy to communicate with, even when my plans changed. I loved the setup (chairs, bed, table) and how it was configured. The wood stove was key!

2 nights at Toby Mill Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Getting there was a breeze thanks to Joys directions. When we got there the cabin was generously stocked with firewood. The views were fabulous. Electricity, propane stove, full refrigerator, comfy bed, made this glamping. Doorless outhouse (don’t worry, there’s no one to see you doing your thing) and heating our water for cleaning up made it rustic. The best thing about this spot was all the space! Our dog got to run, sniff, splash in the snow-melt without us worrying about strangers surprising us.

This is for the adventurous Hipcamper that appreciates the bumpy dirt road. Your Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla won't get you here. Cell service is limited. It is not recommended to arrive after sunset But it is so worth it. Come relax and enjoy the views of the Columbia River and the North Cascades. Plenty of sunshine with epic sunsets, our property is where you come to unwind and soak in the sun when the east side of the Cascades is socked in with clouds and rain. If you want to explore the area, it's about a 10-minute car ride to the Columbia River and 20 minutes to Chelan and all that is offered there. Our favorite activities when we visit are to listen to the birds chirp and take in the surroundings. There are several lava rock piles that speak to the long and volcanic geological history of the area. We also really enjoy walking the dirt road on the ridge. It provides some of the most incredible views in the area. The dirt road section over the ridge can be a little rough and dusty and it's recommended that guests have a medium clearance vehicle, such as a Subaru Outback. However, a guest once drove their Honda Civic down to the site, so it really depends on your comfort level. If in doubt, just ask! We have a security camera on site we use for wildlife sightings and to check the weather. If the idea of having the camera bothers you, feel free to place a blanket or some other type of cover during your stay. We can also turn the camera to only face the entrance. Just let us know. Please respect the surroundings and others' property. There are several other vacation cabins in the area and everyone enjoys their peace and quiet. We provide a privy for guests to use, but be prepared to pack out waste in case it doesn't meet your standards. We try to keep it clean and stocked with TP, but we can only get out to the land every few weeks. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, Sagebrush Hollow is the place for you.

Nirvana gardens is at 3000 feet in the North Cascades of Washington. It is 140 acres with a private lake. You will have access to hundreds of acres of roaming with your own private lake. Trail run, hike, Mountain Bike, lake swim, or just sit, meditate, and read a book on the cedar dock watching the sun sets. Nirvana is available in winter with certain requirements. Please message before booking to get a list of the requirements for winter months October 20th to April 1st. I had been searching for over 2 years for a property where I could make a difference in the environment and live in the wilderness. I was looking for water on a large tract of land that was remote. In 2017 I found the perfect property and to my dismay it had sold 2 days before I saw the listing. I was shocked because this was the perfect property. In my 2 years of searching I knew exactly what I wanted and this was the property. It had a private lake with fish. A solar cabin with a flush toilet and hot shower. The cabins 8 foot windows faced West for magical sunsets and view of the storms that roll in from the coast. It was beautifully treed with just the right amount of open meadow and forest with Hemlock, Ponderosa pine, and Larch. How could this property be sold? I tried to let it go but thought about it for the next year. After a year and a half had passed and my search continued I came across an advertisement for this magical property, it was up for sale again. I called the real estate agent immediately and found that an offer had been made but the buyers could not commit for 5 more months. I made an offer that day not really knowing how I was going to pull off the money. I knew this property was meant for me. I wrote the owner a letter explaining that I was a land steward and that this land would never be developed. I would be putting it in a land trust where no developers could put up condos. The owner happened to be a environmentally focused human and he ended up selling to me. Come to find out when I had first saw the property sold a year and a half before, that transaction had fallen through. The owner had just taken it off the market for the winter. You will absolutely love the magic of Nirvana Gardens. The quiet, the wild animals, the crystal clear lake, clean air, and relaxing healing atmosphere of the ultimate nature bath.

In the mean time i will explain some of the pleasantries and pitfalls. the property is 1 mile to twisp central. is close to 2 acres in heavily forest terrain on the river, Old growth Cottonwood, Pine, and aspen. it is at the junction of twisp river road and poor man creek mean time you can pick between 4 sites. ranging in size and suitabilities. history back in 1934 was a great flood. it wiped out row after row of bridges along the river. The concrete erection on the edge of the river and was one of the main roads to go up twisp river. Now it is our campsite. one of these old bridges. Cottonwood Tree Goes by Different names. In Certain Conditions and in The spring time you can smell The most Fragrant Aroma Permeate the campground. From the cottonwood buds, also known as the balm of gilliad. the cottonwood trees growing around the campgrounds can also be dangerous there limbs can be hard and snap suddenly. but are very interesting because each tree drinks up to 75 gallons of water every day. One Tree Stands out mightily in the midst of the all the cottonwood and aspen a giant There is no electricty. that is okay. we do have a power generator if you want to use it. please just be curtious of other campers because it is noisy. soon we will get alternative energy resources to mitigate this. Dangers abound, it is close to the wilderness. the tree branches can fall at any time. winds can be worse. the water can sweep you away. (during high season.) and bears and cougar and fires. The good Rent all the campsites and you can have your own private festivities. Lots of space, Cool Location. Town is close. walk or drive a mile and can get reception. Beautiful once in a lifetime opportunity. Rules Fire Readiness. Every Campsite is equipped with a fire extinquisher. get famaliar with it. There is no smoking on the campground. even if you where to smoke on the road please be mindful of ashes. there will be designated ashtrays. and down the road may get smoking places. fires in this place can be very dangerous. not just to us but the entire city. There are places where pine needles lay up to 6-12 inches.

Lautensleger Family Camp Property

Choose your perfect spot from 8 different sites (power and water) in the campground. Each site used is $75 form June-August and $60 during the other months. No need to choose site beforehand, just book and you can choose your site once you arrive as your party will be the only ones there to enjoy the great outdoors! After Memorial Day, there is a porta potty on site. There is a large firepit and plenty of wood for fires (when there isn't a fire ban). There are trails all over for walking or there are trailheads just a short drive away if you want to hike. The river is a 30 second-1minute walk from the campsite. Perfect area to pitch a hammock and enjoy the sounds of nature. The campground is 5 miles away from the Mazama Store which sells amazing food (sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and the famous Sea Salt Baguettes). We do not take late comers as we are a farm and are early to bed and early to rise. I'm sorry! We are the third generation in this location and the great grandparents had the adjoining property. My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. We have a gorgeous view of Lake Chelan but can only offer dry camping at this time. Our area has a multitude of things to do!

Deer, coyotes, red tailed hawks and the occasional rattlesnake wander across the land now and then, and sometimes we seethe Big Horned Sheep that are a protected species here.

If you're looking for a quiet camping getaway, Omak may be just the place for you. It's situated in the northern reaches of central Washington, east of the popular summer resort town of Twisp and north of the faux-Bavarian town of Leavenworth. Many people pass through Omak on their way to the Okanogan–Wenatchee National Forest, or to destinations further afield, including North Cacades National Park and Lake Chelan. While there are quite a few public campgrounds deeper in the forest, your best option if you want to be near Omak or the main thoroughfare—Washington State Highway 97—that connects the major towns and cities in this part of the state is to book a private campsite. Options in the area include RV parks and private tent sites as well as cabins and glampsites for extra comfort.
