Had a great stay!
It was great and exactly as advertised: reliable hookups, amazing views, a picnic table, good cell signal, and a bit of a nerve-wracking drive up there especially if you’re new to towing like us. We drive a Subaru Ascent and were towing a 21ft travel trailer and made it up fine though. We did pass the site the first time because Google put the address as further down the road than it was. If you keep your eyes peeled and it looks like the picture, get out and check, since there aren’t a ton of good places to turn around (actually there are a few intersections up the road to do it, but see above that we were new at towing). The good news is most of the drive up you can see far ahead to see if another car is coming down the road toward you, and the car coming down is supposed to pull to the side to let uphill traffic pass, which everyone adhered to. There are little pull-offs along the way for that too.
It was very hot for us (100 degrees) but between the air conditioning and our awning which made it much cooler it was pretty manageable. No natural shade though. The evenings were amazing since it cooled down and the view was great. We also took a tip from the hosts to go check out Lake Alta which had a nice little swimming area and concession stand as well.
We had two little kiddos along with us and while our 4 year old might prefer a campground with other kids, I think it was still good for him to be exposed to something different. For adults who want peace and quiet this would be especially great.

First time using Hip camp and I must say that Coyote Estates set the bar high! The site was huge and level with incredible views. The water and power all worked great. Additionally Chris was such a helpful host helping me out with a battery issue I had with my motorhome. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

This place is pretty awesome! We were there on Memorial Weekend and there was a pretty good amount of traffic on the road next to this property. The sunrise was beautiful! We saw a coyote, lots of deer and birds. The Sweet River Bakery in Pateros is nummy and their coffee is good. We noticed ticks on our dogs after a short hike at Indian Dan at the bottom of the hill. The hill going up to the property is single wide and a pretty good incline. I wouldn't want to go up or down with the trailer in the dark. Our truck brakes also got pretty warm coming down even with engine breaking. Chris was super nice and helpful! We would recommend this property.

Mother’s Day Getaway
We came out from Seattle for an overnight. Took about four hours…amazing drive if you’ve never done it—so much to see. We made it up the hill on the dirt road with switchbacks (HD pickup and a 27’ trailer got up no problem). It might be sketchy at night or in the rain. Amazing views at the top! We had planned to watch the stars but it was too cold and windy the night we came. We woke up to a calm and tranquil Sunday morning. Serenity found in a sweet seranade of bird song. We’d come back again!

Hot Tipi Tryout
We recently decided that we wanted to try winter camping and decided to get a hot tipi set up going. After putting together our set up all we needed was a place to prop up the tipi on a cold winter night. I contacted Chris who was kind enough to plow the area for us and even provided us with wood!!! The spot was exactly what we were looking for! Absolutely recommend!

Escape and relax.
Felt like we were on top of the world! This site is super cool and very quiet and private. Nice change from busy state parks. This place is aptly named for we had Coyote performances both evenings!
An hour away and a beautiful drive to Twisp and Winthrop for art, shopping and parks.
Make sure and double check directions to this camp. "Hipcamp" tends to send out wrong directions on behalf of hip camp owners who own several locations.

Fantastic site!
This site is on a nigh hill overlooking the Columbia Valley. The site is AWESOME!!! You should contact the host directly for directions, as HipCamp is having problems with directions. The host must be an electrician, because there are TWO 30 amp hookups, plus four 15 amp plugs. Water is great and tastes great. The pad is HUGE and there is also a 50 amp plug about 30 feet away. You could fit at least four large RV's here. The road up is gravel and pretty steep. But nothing my SUV with a 27 foot trailer couldn't manage. And the view is awesome!

This is a clean no-frills level Gravel parking lot with new picnic tables. It is 30 seconds walk to the river and close to bars and restaurants.
It worked for us for the one night we stayed.

Remote ridgetop stargazing!
Unbeatable stargazing spot, with gorgeous views from a remote ridgetop with easy pull through access and a short drive to town. Warm afternoon breezes kept the bugs down. Chris was super helpful and welcoming, and our toddler loved his very sweet dog who stopped by with him when he greeted us. Will return!

Private Escape with Amazing Views
This place was amazing! I almost don’t want to write this review because I want to keep this place a secret. Nice level large pull through site (enough room and hook-ups for two RVs), 1 picnic table and 2 fire pits provided. Choice of 30 or 50 amp and good drinking water. Views were amazing, Alta lake 20 mins away or cool off in Columbia river 15 mins away. The host was super friendly and professional, offered to be available if we needed anything during our stay.

The Getaway We All Needed
We had a fantastic three-day weekend at this site. We were itching to get out of the city (and out of our home) to get some fresh air and this site provided the perfect getaway. The site was very private, big, beautiful views, and the water spigot was super handy. We had a lot of fun going on excursions during the days to go swimming, hiking, and mountain biking. It was great to have such a nice campsite to come back to and relax after our long days of adventuring. Chris was very responsive to our questions and the neighbors (way down the road) were super friendly. Would definitely come back!

Amazing!
We had so much fun! The site was very clean and we had an amazing view. The direction's were off but we managed to find it and it was fun to explore the hillside. The road going up has some blind corners so if you have a larger trailer or rv I would approach it very carefully. All in all we had a wonderful time! If you are looking for a good time without a lot of people around you this is the site to go!
