Get away from it all when you stay at this Methow valley view property. Located 5 miles out of downtown Pateros on a private 10 acres, and with valley views all the way to the Columbia River. Enjoy the dark skies with stars like you haven't seen in years! The only sounds are the native birds and coyotes in the distance. With nearly 300 degree views and sunrise and sunsets on each side of you, you'll feel a world away from the hustle back home. Only 12 minutes to downtown Pateros, 15 minutes to Alta Lake, less than 30 to Chelan.

Enjoy the expansive views atop a hillside with lush valley views of the orchards along the Methow River. The solitude and starry skies will be the perfect break after a day on the Methow or Columbia river fishing, hunting in the hills or exploring nearby Pateros, Chelan, Twisp, Winthrop or Okanogan. Site requires AWD due to very steep driveway. Porta Pot is nearby, near the owners cabin. Weber BBQ and propane fire pit available but you must BRING YOUR OWN PROPANE! This site will only be available when owners are not at the cabin. Note:  during the summer, it gets HOT in the Methow Valley!  When temperatures top 80 degrees, this campsite isn't an ideal campsite to hang out at!  There is no shade other than your tent/camper/trailer! This is an ideal spot if you are adventuring and exploring during the day at the nearby waters, whether it's the Methow River, the Columbia, Alta Lake or Lake Chelan, 4-wheeling the hills, exploring wine country, golfing at Gamble Sands or Alta, exploring Winthrop (50 minutes), Twisp (40 minutes), hunting or just looking for a restful evening on a road trip.  It's an ideal, peaceful and calm place to come back to as base camp to cook up some dinner, enjoy the views and have a drink and rest your weary head:) Winds can also be strong. We do NOT advise setting up pop-up shade covers and leaving them, as the winds could destroy them.

Site is accessible with a front wheel drive vehicle, but AWD is preferable. Porta Pot is nearby, approximately 150 yards away up the hill near the owners cabin. Weber BBQ and propane fire pit available but you must BRING YOUR OWN PROPANE! Owners may be at cabin up the hill, but privacy, solitude and quiet will still be yours to enjoy! Note:  during the summer, it gets HOT in the Methow Valley!  When temperatures top 80 degrees, this campsite isn't an ideal campsite to hang out at!  There is no shade other than your tent/camper/trailer! Methow Valley View Campsite
Carrie is great. We were in a situation where we suddenly needed a new place at 7:00 at night, 5 hours from home. While canning applesauce, she paused what she was doing to respond to our urgent need, approved the reservation and emailed us the specifics on how to access the property. As she’ll tell you, you’ll need a good truck to get up into the property if you’re towing. I was towing my 35’ fifth wheel but had no issues navigating the hairpin turn onto the lot, even with my hubs locked. The ground is a little sloped so make sure you have ample blocking if you need to level for slide outs. The view from the plateau is amazing and the stars are really bright since there is zero light pollution in the area. Thanks Carrie for bailing us out. Eric and Sherri

Methow Valley View Campsite
"Stayed at this secluded campsite with breathtaking views and unforgettable sunsets. The sights and sounds of deer and coyotes at night made for a true wilderness experience. While amenities were minimal and the grounds a bit dusty in early August, the raw beauty and serenity more than made up for it. Highly recommend for nature lovers!"

Methow Valley View Campsite
The view was magnificent! Good communication from Carrie, and clear directions on how to get there. The wind was intense at times, so be sure to stake anything that could blow away. The road provided easy access- no need for high clearance vehicles, and the only "steep" section was the last 200 yards, but our truck had no issue pulling our trailer up. The outhouse is located up a hill, which was a pretty good climb, about 150 yards away. Not easily available, but it is usable. There is a small structure/cabin next to the outhouse overlooking the campsite, but didn't appear to be anyone using it while we were there. The table, fire pit, and grill were very nice added amenities, but again, the view and seclusion made it all worth it.

Methow Valley View Campsite
The campsite is in a fantastic location for unobstructed views of the methow valley. There are a couple flatter areas to choose from to set up your tent, two sitting chairs, a dining table with chairs, and propane fire pit and grill. Remember to bring a lighter or matches for the grill, or bring your own butane stove for faster heating times. The drive up is over an unpaved road but the surface is easy to drive on. No need for off-road driving. It was covered in this clay like topping which stuck in my wheel wells. Make sure to wash it off once you get home from the trip! There was also a coyote sniffing around our tent, so make sure to secure your food (as with any site). The views were to die for, and it was a great site to camp on! There were lots of wild flowers and singing birds all day, and it make for a really idyllic trip. We will definitely be back to the site in the future!
