Thank you for an amazing 2025 season. We will see you back in the spring of 2026. Book your events and campouts now before the season fills up! We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

I was not sure what to expect staying on a horse ranch, but it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Kristy was an awesome host and there was one other group up by the rv pad, but we hardly saw them. Dogs were very friendly and Kristy let us use a propane fire-pit to provide warmth and a fire for our tent site. The bathrooms were clean and there was some water by our site, but we did not use it. The camp, for the tent site… we arrived and she drove us all over her property and told us to just choose where we wanted to camp. We chose to stay in back of the horse area. While we could see the house from there, we didn’t care and if you want to move back in the woods further, there are spots back there too that would provide more privacy if you need that. This is a great site and a one of a kind experience being that close to the horses."

There are old fruit trees on the land that give plentiful fruit (most years) starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Please note, this is HASRSTINE ISLAND, NOT HERRON. I haven't gotten Hipcamp to fix this yet. There is a bridge to the island and the coordinates offered for site are correct. Also no bathroom set up at this time. Beautiful peaceful forest with trails, a great spot for elopements (elopement package separate) and a beautiful meadow with a small ringed fire pit for one site and a movable fir pit for another.. Maximum 2 sites in 5 acres. 70% of the Island is forestry but sound DOES carry a long way so it's not dead-quiet. Harstine Island has a BRIDGE, no ferry! One hammock is left up in the forest and there are places for your hammocks to be hung, as well. There is one spot on drive that is between two trees so you need to go slowly and be careful, 9 foot wide at wheel base only. Please take note of this. Easy for cars, a bit tricky for some trailer/RVs. Photo and video can be seen on webpage. Types of wildlife include barred owls, a nighthawk usually in summer can be seen at dusk, western alligator lizards, warblers, robins, crows, wrens, a bear has visited before (lucky me heard it 'woof' at me, bear didn't appreciate my singing), deer, others have seen red fox in the past but we have not been so lucky. Birder's paradise. one lovely review calls it a great place for forest bathing! Puget sound is SO clean here with a diverse salt water life. Orca and Humpback have been spotted nearby. You can track them at Orca Network or Puget Sound Whale Sightings on Facebook. Both '22 and '23 have seen orca making rounds with the incoming tide going under the bridge and circling the island! There is Jarrell Cove state park and a boat ramp at Latimer's Landing Boat Launch few miles way. There is a great local market at the community center Saturdays from 10-12 in the summer. No water view, this is heavy forest off a gravel drive into privacy. No power, no water, pack it in pack it out. Please be careful of deer when you are driving in and observe island speed limits. Familiarize yourself with the personal fire extinguisher at the site.

There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! George took a deep breath and exhaled. He smiled, a twinkle in his eye, and said, "Randy, (dramatic pause), don't worry, {another lengthy pause) don't hurry." We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. Please message if you need a last-minute booking and it appears to be blocked. We can't do an "instant book," but there's always a possibility that we can accommodate you. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

The camp, for the tent site… we arrived and she drove us all over her property and told us to just choose where we wanted to camp. We chose to stay in back of the horse area. While we could see the house from there, we didn’t care and if you want to move back in the woods further, there are spots back there too that would provide more privacy if you need that. This is a great site and a one of a kind experience being that close to the horses."

Beautiful peaceful forest with trails, a great spot for elopements (elopement package separate) and a beautiful meadow with a small ringed fire pit for one site and a movable fir pit for another.. Maximum 2 sites in 5 acres. 70% of the Island is forestry but sound DOES carry a long way so it's not dead-quiet. Harstine Island has a BRIDGE, no ferry! One hammock is left up in the forest and there are places for your hammocks to be hung, as well. There is one spot on drive that is between two trees so you need to go slowly and be careful, 9 foot wide at wheel base only. Please take note of this. Easy for cars, a bit tricky for some trailer/RVs. Photo and video can be seen on webpage. Types of wildlife include barred owls, a nighthawk usually in summer can be seen at dusk, western alligator lizards, warblers, robins, crows, wrens, a bear has visited before (lucky me heard it 'woof' at me, bear didn't appreciate my singing), deer, others have seen red fox in the past but we have not been so lucky. Birder's paradise. one lovely review calls it a great place for forest bathing! Puget sound is SO clean here with a diverse salt water life. Orca and Humpback have been spotted nearby. You can track them at Orca Network or Puget Sound Whale Sightings on Facebook. Both '22 and '23 have seen orca making rounds with the incoming tide going under the bridge and circling the island! There is Jarrell Cove state park and a boat ramp at Latimer's Landing Boat Launch few miles way. There is a great local market at the community center Saturdays from 10-12 in the summer. No water view, this is heavy forest off a gravel drive into privacy. No power, no water, pack it in pack it out. Please be careful of deer when you are driving in and observe island speed limits. Familiarize yourself with the personal fire extinguisher at the site.

About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! 10/4/2025-10/5/2025 We were looking for a night away to spend my birthday. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place for us. This was better than any hotel we could have Chosen. The set up Is perfect. She put so much thought into making our arrival special. From the personalized note/instructions, the flowers, little patio over looking the water to the privacy fence to the easy access to the trailer. The host was very responsive and it was soooooo clean inside. We will definitely be back to enjoy it again!

Lovely campsite, river access is a nice walk away. Train tracks run along the back of the campground but wasn’t loud enough for it to be a problem. We would definitely be coming back next year. My only concern was the shooting that was happening off the river bank towards the evening, they left after a while but not something I’d want near us. Bathrooms were located all around the campground and very easy check in.

What an incredible slice of perfection. Camas is an amazing hostess, providing beautiful flowers and welcome treats, fresh fruit from the property, and a safe van place to rejuvenate. The views were spectacular and I counted more than 25 birds during my stay. The final night, Camas was kind enough to let me know the bioluminescence were visible. Pure magic from the shoreline. This is definitely a spot worthy of visiting and returning to.

Lovely flat space. The Barn pictured is fabulous, but worth noting that it is upstairs. Bathrooms downstairs were clean and spacious. There is also a shower! I had a power spot and all was nice and easy to get to (none of those low to the ground water spigots!) There were picnic tables, dogs were safe and happy. Would recommend.

This was the perfect spot to come back to after a long day of hiking and exploring! It was nestled in the woods and was peaceful and cozy. The bed was super comfortable ( the heated mattress pad was a game changer) and the yurt had everything we needed to cook. The bath house was also super cute and different! I loved the tile. It’s about 45 minutes from a Rainier park entrance which is perfect if you want to be in close proximity but avoid staying in the park. The hosts were very kind and communicative and the location was easy to find. I would definitely recommend this magical little hideaway!

Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

The farm is on 12 acres of sloping field set against a tall forested backdrop, and only a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shopping, bars and groceries. Three designated level campsites are spaced around the property, each with a fire pit and picnic table. Please pay attention to the fact that these are walk-in sites, and you'll be hauling your camping items from the parking area over uneven ground. We provide a cart to help tote your items, if needed. There is a communal central deck for camper's use, with a water spigot, power outlet and sink, plus a propane stove and some cooking utensils. A communal port-a-potty is available to campers. Parking is in one designated location, and campers must be prepared to walk about 300 feet over uneven ground to their campsite. The working farm fields are not open to campers, but can be admired as a backdrop. A You-Pick flower patch and farm stand at the entrance of the property are open for shopping, picture-taking and flower-picking seasonally. Pets and campfires (outside of burn bans) are permitted. Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R& as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day.
