Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

There’s something about this Hipcamp site. It was private, and though I heard an occasional (very rare) car slowly drive by, they couldn’t see into the site. There was a beautiful view from the site that never got old. It would be hard to fit more than one 4-6 person tent. The outhouse definitely felt *rustic* but that’s a part of being outdoors and camping. The trails were fun to explore with my dogs off leash. Overall, one of the most peaceful, relaxing sites!

Weekend Trip to Run w/ Alpacas Farm Stay Port Angeles

This was a fun and unique opportunity. It was low-key, the animals were friendly and we loved having them walk right past our tent. We were bummed to have just missed a baby alpaca birth, as we already left for the day, but loved that they hosts came looking for us to see if we wanted to come watch. The site is right by a grocery store and in town, even though it doesn’t seem like it. It is also very close to Olympic National Park, so it is very convenient, if you have u was to visit.

Weekend Trip to Feral Farm

Matthew was hands down fantastic and the best host I have ever had in hospitality. He is very communicative, has everything you need for the camping. We had 4 chairs, a little kitchen under the table with gas stove in the Nut Grove. Mathhew also help delivered woods for our camping and helped tour us around in his wonderful farm. We really loved our stay and the hospitality and would recommend anyone visiting to stay here :)

Even prettier than last time. Very quiet although Fourth of July Fireworks in town took place this week. Very natural mountain setting with tons of birds and mature trees. Love that the commute is easy and the host couldn’t be nicer. Booking again today. Close to Riverscene County park swimming hole.

2 nights at Run w/ Alpacas Farm Stay Port Angeles

Rondi, her husband and the animals are such grounding forces! It was such a relief for my daughter and I as we live right in the heart of the busy city and desperately needed to rest and recuperate while there. We fed the alpacas, took naps, explored the property and neighborhood, made food at the picnic table that was provided and played frisbee! It really can’t get better than that! It was comforting to see how much Rondi and her husband really love their animals and it shows in all that they do. Rondi was gracious enough to tell me the back stories about the animals and educate us about the different types of sheep and alpacas they have there. One of the highlights was that my daughter got to care for baby lamb named Marylou who’d been rejected by her mother by feeding her straight from the bottle! I had a beautiful experience with a baby llama that was very curious about me and made it known by sniffing my face and making deep eye contact. Super magical! It was such a beautiful and lovely experience that I’d like to come back and volunteer my time. This organization is doing amazing healing work with the animals and it overflows out to those who come stay here. I support them whole heartedly! Thank you Rondi and Greg!

Great spot for young kids! Quick walk to multiple river access points, nice clean bathroom. Sites were large and clean, with a good mix of shade and sun. Lorrie was a very friendly and accommodating host.

2 nights at Camp Hideaway

Our camping experience at Camp Hideaway was delightful, thanks to its clean, quiet, and serene setting. Accessibility to the nearby river via a short trail was a bonus. Joe and Lorrie's hospitality was top-notch, as they greeted us warmly and regularly checked on our needs throughout our stay. We highly recommend this property even for a big group. The site features multiple tent sites, RV camping options, and a cabin.

1 night at Solstice Campground

The friendly hosts were helpful via instant message in advance of our visit and when we were on site. The port-o-potty was spotless, the campsites nicely tended to, and directions to and from were well marked. This was a nice place to spend an evening and it put us right onto the Hurricane Ridge road bright and early the next morning.

4 nights at Elwha RV Park

I loved this campsite! I liked how secluded it was from the other sites with lots of privacy. The bathrooms were very clean, and the vegetable garden was gorgeous!

1 night at Solstice Campground

We arrived late in the evening and had to catch an early morning ferry, so staying at this campground was the perfect choice. We booked one of the car camping sites and slept inside our vehicle — super convenient and exactly what we needed for a quick overnight stay. The location is fantastic — just a 10-minute drive to the ferry terminal with no traffic at all. The area is beautiful and peaceful, and the grounds were well maintained and clean. We truly wished we had more time to enjoy the amenities! The host was incredibly kind and helpful — she sent us all the information we needed via message and made the whole experience smooth and welcoming. We’d love to come back and stay longer next time to fully enjoy everything the campground has to offer!

i loved camping here. the views were incredible and it was so peaceful being able to hear and see the river. the sauna, shower, and laundry machines were also added bonuses.

Very nice hosts. They helped me get my huge rig into the spot and told us all about the area. We and our dogs loved the lush nature path behind the property. It was nice and quiet and not crowded.

Weekend Trip to Wild Hearts on Whidbey

A great location near Langley, comfortable for a solo camper. The site is a lovely meadow nestled in the trees. I found a flat area to park and pitch my hatch tent. The firepit was new and adequate, but there's no grate for cooking, so bring one if you need it, as well as your own water. The picnic table was great, and there's a separate bench near the firepit. Plenty of downed limbs and branches for starting a fire. The port-a-potties were clean and nearby, but not too close.

Buster's on the Sauk River

Welcome and Hello! We'll be OPENING the FIRST WEEKEND of MAY!! There's the after every winter campground road cleanup/maintenance. Our guests can enjoy being laid back, play music, stay up late, have a couple cocktails/beers and just let the air out of tires, so to speak...Our campground is perfect (we think!) for large groups of people that want a beautiful space for an event, like receptions, family or school reunions, work/corporate campouts, Church events, etc. where you can book the whole campground for yourselves. Or, there are three individual sites you can choose from and book separately on our campground. Two are by the river with wide open view of the river. The third has two entrances, big space, and secluded under a couple of big maple and various other trees without view of the Sauk but has a short and easy path to the river. Drive a little further and you'll find an open area site that also has two entrances. It has a nice wide view of the river with access to the river. It also has an established campfire pit there. The first campsite (the first campsite is the furthest one down) is very secluded as well. Driveway drops down to this site and delivers ample room for a few cars and tents, or rv's. (More on RV's in this listing).. The view of the river is beautiful there and the site features two separate coves on the river. There's a camp trailer down there as well...nothing fancy but we occasionally use it. The electrical needs hooked up and the bathroom hooked up in it. But if you're sick of the rain in your tent and want to get out of the rain, it's there. All three sites are very different from each other. We and the property were introduced to HipCamp last year by another HipCamper. and it's a diamond in the rough. Once you go past our shop and the industrial mechanical views and continue down the driveway it turns into a whole different scene. You'd never know that you're within city limits. Just out in the wild. We're still working on the property to maximize the property's potential. We love this property for its closeness to nature and beautiful scenery! There's lots of diversity in plants, neat rocks all over the place! It's a relaxing getaway and yet close to town and its amenities, including North Mountain Bike Park..

We live on the property with Clancy, Uncle Larry, Tim and Pete and our friendly dog Pickle. Secluded campsites are nestled among cedars, firs, hemlock and maples. Tents only, no vehicle camping/trailers or pets please. Community firepit has chairs, with Free firewood (‘a curated selection of site-grown firewood’ may include: cedar, fir, hemlock, cherry, madrone, etc). The nearby Tent Shelter features cold water, a picnic table, countertop for indoor/outdoor food prep and dining, along with trash cans and a camp stove. Sanican is a short walk from the tent sites. We have lovely Woods with sculptures and artwork created from materials found on the property by our friend Pete. We also have Gardens to wander in to support your sense of peace and connection. Safe, secure, private, scenic. Please have no more than two people and one vehicle per site. There is no electricity available in the Tent camping area. This is NOT a party camp space. We are a place for peace and quiet where you can enjoy the woods. We are also not suitable for children (if you have tweens/teens, message us). We have too many "attractive nuisances" for young children to be safe. You're staying on a 7 acre, mostly forested parcel, 1/4 mile from Hwy 101, mid way between Port Angeles and Sequim, WA. Some traffic hum, but not much, and it varies depending on how the wind is blowing. We're 3/4 miles East of the Deerpark entrance to Olympic Natl Park, 4.5 miles East of the Main Olympic National Park Wilderness Information Center.

Chuckanut Hills Farm & Camp

Retreat to relax at Chuckanut Hills Farm and Campground, a 20-acre energy-regenerative, off-grid family farm nestled at the foot of Anderson Mountain and surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. 30 minutes south of Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains, the only finger of the Cascade Mountain Range that reaches all the way to the Salish Sea. This wooded forest is part of the Puget Lowland Forest Eco-Region. These hills were the native home of the Saquantch people, a Salish coast tribe that fished and hunted the mountains surrounding Lake Whatcom. They lived in long lodge homes and were later pushed out by the invading Lummi Tribe. The Lummi Tribe was later pushed out by Western logging companies, and the entire mountainous region was heavily logged for a number of years. Where our farm now rests was once the second of many logging camps built by Ed English, and he cut our gravel farm road in 1900; a railroad ran through the lower part of our property, taking logs from Lake Whatcom down to the little boom town of Seattle. Our intention while being caretakers of this ancestral land is to restore native plants, raise heirloom produce and heritage animals, and provide a restful nature paradise for people looking to spend time in the outdoors.
