Cardinal's Camp is an ideal spot for small RV's and campers to come and relax in a country setting. We have a gorgeous covered area and deck with propane mini BBQ and bench seating, full water and 30 amp power hook-ups, and beautiful views of the surrounding farm fields and a one hundred year old barn (PLEASE don't access the barn area or fields, it's not ours but the views are great!) Lots to do around the area, including Finnriver Cidery, hiking in the Olympic Mountains and the Victorian town of Port Townsend. We now have decent wifi you can use, so option to come and work remotely! (Unfortunately we don't have tons of space for kids or dogs to run around, but definitely plenty of nice grassy area to set up tents, yard games and a campfire). Our site includes wifi, picnic table, and potable water. Campfires (outside of a burn ban) and pets permitted! However we do have free-roaming chickens (ask us about fresh eggs!) so leashed up or chicken-friendly dogs please. Guests love staying here: "Gorgeous spot to sit, relax and take in the sunset across the farm fields before tucking in. We visited for one night with a 10.5’ tall camper van rented from Cabana, which fit easily under the shelter with plenty of clearance. The shelter itself is a great spot to get outside and eat a meal, and the rocking chairs in the yard were chill too! An occasional loud truck will go by on the nearby road, but not bad. We slept fine. We’ve stayed here three summers in a row and really enjoy the spot. It’s clean and beautiful and has a nice sitting area. We love being able to walk across the street to Finn River and you’re super close to the corner store and farmers market on Sundays. Highly recommend!

I had a beautiful view of the barn and the hay field. I really enjoyed my stay and Chris was great. Responded quickly to any questions I had. I noticed just a little noise from the road at night but other than that it was very quiet. I just wanted to note that if you have something bigger than a van it won’t fit under the cover but just right in front of, along side the shop. Which was great for my 23’ airstream. I’d definitely stay again!

Great view of the field and surrounding hills. Nice covered area to hang out in next to the van and also had a nice fire pit. Nice and quiet with nice outdoor lights, electrical hookups and fresh water.

We hebben op doorreis naar Port Townsend een nacht op de prachtige plek gestaan. Heerlijke zitplaatsen onder een afdakje. Prachtig uitzicht over de velden. Aan de overkant van de straat is een leuke eetgelegenheid. Chris is een fijne host. Van de weg hoor je niet veel.

We had a great visit and really enjoyed the close proximity to Finn River Cidery where we enjoyed live music, tasty food and some of our favorite ciders (with the dogs!). As for our actual camp spot, we very much enjoyed and would do it again. Easy to find and the covered spot complete with power, wifi and water made it all very easy. We also had our own fire pit which was great after our evening at the cidery. Anyone looking to explore Port Townsend area can’t go wrong here. thanks Chris for a wonderful stay

Sweet little spot to pull right in and enjoy with no fuss. We loved spending time over at Finnriver for yard games and music at night. The porch with the lights is lovely. The sunrise lit up the trees across the way in a beautiful golden light that was lovely with the fall colors.

Awesome campsite!! Chickens running around, beautiful wooden area to hang, lights in the evening. My partner and I spent the time doing many crafts with lots of space. Also the cidery across the street is amazing- we went twice!

The little shelter they have created is wonderful. There’s a marine style barbeque you can use, and electricity and water. I love the chickens running around! There’s a little bit of road noise from Center Road, but I did not find it to be a problem. The vistas across the valley and the west are quite pretty. It’s so nice to be within walking distance of Finn River and Chimacum Corner Farmstand. There are several other places you can walk to nearby for food. I will definitely come back!

The covered deck is awesome. I loved having water, electricity, and wifi. This was my first foray into camping-while-working; every time we camp, my brain just thinks: vacation! I was so glad to be able to get my work done, and then enjoy the lovely setting. Thanks to Chris’s kids for the eggs, too! The free range chickens are cute; I liked how they ran out to greet me each time I returned from a walk. Center Road is nearby, but road noise dies down at night. It’s nice to be able to walk to Finn River, the Chimacum Cafe, and the Chimacum Corner Farmstand. And the vistas of the old barn and Beaver Valley are beautiful. I would to love to come back another time!

Loved our stay at Cardinal Camp! Beautiful land and well-maintained space. Sweet, happy chickens and fresh eggs made our stay extra special. :) Hosts are kind, friendly and considerate, site felt private nestled up against the gorgeous fields and being tucked in on the property away from the road made it feel safe and secure. We camped in a tent with our two dogs and very much appreciated the cover for shade on hot days and a dry spot on rainy days. Power and WIFI made remote work a breeze in an area with otherwise spotty coverage. Great location for exploring Pt Townsend and surrounding areas. Loved the Chimacum farm store and plenty of spots nearby for supplies, etc. Highly recommend! Thanks so much to Chris, fam and chickens for a fabulous stay!

This was absolutely perfect for us. Quiet and convenient location behind Chris's house butting up to pictureesque farmland. Definitely walk across the street to the Finnriver Cidery for cider and food. Port Townsend and the various state parks are close by. The Olympic Discovery trail is close by. We'd definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cardinal’s Camp. It was easy to find and exactly as described in the listing. We were there for Farm Tour weekend, and Finn River was a quick walk across the road. We enjoyed waking up and mingling with the chickens that were hanging out in the yard before we packed up and headed to the Farm's Reach restaurant from brunch. The owner Chris is super cool and communicative. We'll definitely stay here again next time we are traveling through the area.

We spent 3 nights at Cardinal Camp during the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival weekend. The location was very convenient being about 12 miles from downtown PT. Chris was an excellent host. Their chicken coop is nearby and Chris shared fresh eggs with us each day. On the camp deck is a cherry tomato plant which was good for snacking. The camp site has a nice view of the huge vintage barn located on the adjacent property. We have a full size pickup and 19' long and 7' wide travel trailer and maneuvering in and out of the site was a bit tight. I would not want to attempt use of the shelter and deck area with a larger rig. Parking along the gravel drive leading to the shelter and deck would be advised for full size travel trailers although you would need a long electrical cord to take advantage of the 30 amp service located at the shelter/deck space. The site is ideal for camper vans.

Our second stay ! Once again we found the location convenient ( right across the street from Finnriver cider brewery) and peaceful. Even though the big barn and field aren’t available to walk through, the small yard still feels like a farm. The chickens were adorable, my granddaughter was in heaven. The hosts were easy to reach and super responsive.

Cardinal's Camp is a nice location for exploring the western Puget Sound area. We stayed 3 nights, and enjoyed the camp and the meteor shower although on the main road, it quieted down in the evening. The camp itself was comfortable, but the RV cover is quite narrow, although doable if you have no slides. The only problem we encountered was it's not a pull through, as decievingly shown in the pictures. You need to back out if using the cover, which in our case was not possible. We stopped and read the laminated insructions that said you could use the neighbors field if you could not back out. so we pulled thru. Upon meeting the host the last evening he advised we could not use the field to exit. We informed him of his posting/instructions that we could in fact drive thru and he seemed suprised.... It is advised that the host cleary inform that the structure is not a pull thru, to avoid issues in the future.

Was a nice and clean sight. Way less private than you can tell from the photos. Host was very nice and left us alone. This is an active farm I’m sure so it’s expected to be busy. But we did not have much for privacy. Very close to Finn River cidery
