Experience total wilderness seclusion with your group of friends, family or pets at Medley Woods Retreat! With 40 acres all to yourself, take a week or weekend to enjoy the sun soaked campsites or follow a trail into the fern covered woods. Only 30 minutes from the Olympic National Park, make this a stopover for more adventuring or spend the weekend relaxing in nature, away from it all! Medley Woods is located halfway down the Coyle Peninsula off of Coyle Road. Our two cleared campsites can accommodate 1-5 tents each, depending on tent size and desired spacing (see photos for each site). The parking area fits 3 cars or can be used for tents as well. Looking for more space? Park or camp along the road or explore the rest of the property to find your own spot - the opportunities are endless!Experience total wilderness seclusion with your group of friends, family or pets at Medley Woods Retreat! Rig suitability
Vehicles under 20 feet allowed
Allowed rigs: travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-up campers, class B RVs, campervans, cars, truck campers, and rooftop tents
Pull-in site
There is room for parking just after the outhouse that fits around 3 cars pulled in. You may use this area to turn around or back in and out.
Surface type: Loose Gravel
Surface levelness: Requires leveling
We currently have two leveled areas great for tent camping. There are several other areas where you can pitch additional tents, though they may be a bit un-level and have a few sticks or rocks underneath. I recommend pitching any additional tents along the road - just be sure not to block any cars for fire hazard purposes.
No class A RVs and class C RVs
Doesn't accommodate slideouts
Generators allowed
No electrical hookup
No water hookup
No sewage hookup
No TV hookup

Campfires allowed
Firepit, private. Please ensure all campfires are kept within the designated firepit area and are attended at all times. When you are finished, please spread the ashes and pour water over the coals to make avoid the fire from relighting. Thank you!
Toilet available
Composting toilet. Our composting toilet requires that everyone (including men) sit down to use it so that everything goes where it's supposed to. Toilet paper can be disposed of in the toilet (under the trap door) or burnt in the fireplace.
Pets allowed
Off leash. We love our pets and any opportunity to let them explore freely! However, please be aware that there are wild animals in the area so pets should be kept within eyesight at all times (especially those smaller guys). We cannot be responsible for your pets and ask that you please keep this in mind.
Potable water available
Bottled water or jugs. We will provide 5 gallons of water for your group for all stays. We are also happy to provide more or leave ice water for your group as an add-on service.
Bins available
Trash bin. We do provide bins and trash bags but all guests are required to pack out any trash they bring with them. There is a shorter bin in the outhouse that can easily be pulled out to the campsite area, as well as some taller metal bins behind the outhouse if needed. Please leave no trace and return everything as you found it!
Picnic table present
You'll find two picnic tables located in the second campsite area. Feel free to move them around as needed to suit your site setup!
No showers
Cooking equipment absent
We are happy to provide this as an add-on service.
