Weekend Trip to Cascade Rose Alpaca Farm StayMy gut wants me to keep this magical place a secret. I'm afraid if word gets out, I'll never get to stay here again. But also, Shari and her family are all so welcoming and helpful, so I definitely want to boost their business.
This spot is about a mile walk down a straight and flat trail to Remlinger Farm, and the perfect crash pad after one of their summer concerts. It is also the perfect compromise for anyone who doesn't really like camping, but loves the outdoors and hates parking traffic. Everything is set up for you, and everything is very comfortable and cozy. The alpacas are so funny and cute (but be careful, they spit!), and we loved the friendly farm doggies Colt and Rutger. (They were friendly but also good guard dogs, barking at us when we came back from the concert after dark!) We got to see a 36-hour old baby alpaca! And also some goats, who weren't all that interested in us.
This place is wonderful and magical but I don't recommend you book this place until the last minute... but for selfish reasons. I want first dibs.
Hot tip: being a small flashlight for the walk back, and keep an ear and eye out on that walk for passing bikes (step to the right, they'll pass on the left!)
