We have alternate arrival instructions for you after you book. These instructions add about 7 minutes (totaling 8 minutes) from SR 18 to the campground. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. Our distant neighbors occasionally indulge in target shooting. We have a brand new neighborhood in construction on one of our property lines. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. Propane stoves are welcome during fire bans. We do not have a check in cut-off time. Reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. You can enjoy such activities as swinging in one of the many hammocks, getting goldfish pedicures, feeding some of the sweet animals, talking with the parrot, doing goat yoga, picking fresh fruits and vegetables for dinner you can prepare in our outdoor cabana kitchen, eating s'mores at one of the many firepits, visiting the beautiful flower gardens or simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Wildlife galore including bald and golden eagles, red tail hawks, deer, raccoons, heron and coyotes. Some nights, we have live music in the evening by one of South Whidbey's amazing bands and beer flowing from the taps built into the wall of the cabana. It is just me and an occasional worker operating the property so you may see us weeding, feeding farm animals or watering some of the many gardens. You are encouraged to participate in activities on the farm and children are welcome to do the same. We are 5 minutes from Bailey's Corner Store, Whidbey's best burger joint, which has great music various nights of the week, and Ogres Brewery which also has great entertainment and beer. Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away. Note that all sites are TENT-ONLY sites. There is no car, roof-top tent or RV camping availability.

Such a magical little spot with the best hosts! Nothing like a crackling fire right next to a picturesque river. The sauna absolutely made the trip with a warm spot to relax in the cold of winter. You can see the river from inside too. All the amenities you need for some excellent glamping! We went up to Scenic Hot Springs and then stayed here. The perfect little getaway with my spouse.

1 night at Valhalla Tree Farm

What a fantastic spot. Valhalla Tree Farm is the perfect place to unplug and get cozy. The off-grid cabin was simple and comfortable, and the propane heater kept us toasty the whole time. Even with the water shut off for the season, everything was easy to manage, and the covered fire pit meant we could still enjoy a fire while it sprinkled most of the trip. Shannon was super helpful and responsive, and we loved being able to wander the property and let the dog run around off-leash. The backdrop of the escarpment is beautiful and makes the place feel extra special. Honestly, I’m almost hesitant to hype it up too much because I do not want to fight for dates next time. We’ll be back!

3 nights at Cole's Cabin on Anderson Island

If you like to camp in the winter, like to take your dog, and want a roof with a heater over your head, this is perfect! It was a perfect island adventure. Fred's special touches included easy access pottable water and dishwashing sink on the porch of the cabin, a clean/neat outhouse, a bug flap, heater, microwave, fridge, and COOKIES! We walked down to the beach, took a couple trips to beautiful parks, and enjoyed the views of the water from the cabin. We brought a tent/shelter and put it up for an extra "room" to enjoy the views and grilled cheese/tomato soup, hot cider, and apple crisp. We heard coyotes howling in the distance, owls hooting, saw deer, coyotes, and river otters. We truly had an island adventure we will always cherish and remember. Thank you Fred for providing us this opportunity!!

We had such a lovely time at Valhalla. The directions were easy to follow and the grounds were gorgeous. We knew it was going to rain the entire weekend we were there but we didn't care. We took beautiful hikes through the woods and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. They have done a wonderful job making Valhalla a peaceful piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We’ll definitely be back!

Valhalla tree farm is beautiful and so serene. The different birds calling and talking through the sounds of trees moving in high winds, so good! The pup and I went exploring through the property and trails feeling like we were fully in Ferngully. Our shelter camp site on Huckleberry Hill was perfect. Dave clearly puts a lot of thought and care into providing the best experience. Not only was he communicative and responsive, but he was also accommodating. Thanks to the shelter at our site, we didn’t drown in the torrential downpour! This property is highly rated, the pup and I agree 💯

We had a wonderful stay, sad we didn't get a longer visit. There is tons of places to explore and we would definitely love to come back. The folks were helpful, kind and welcoming. Definitely has a family friendly welcome. The yurt was warm even though it was pouring all night long. First night we left heat on low, second night we left it off. They have probably one of the most well appointed kitchens we have ever seen, big and roomy. There are games and books and seating. Big family style table for games and dining. Like home away from home with loads of hiking trails near by. We brought our dogs and they had a blast. Next time we come to visit I wont be in class all day. We cannot say enough about how beautiful it is in camp and the surrounding area. 100% recommend!

We are a 20 acre tree farm in the making on beautiful Whidbey Island. The property is rough graded with lots of areas to explore. Close to town for supplies but quiet, and crazy stars at night. We have cleared two of the cedar groves on the south side, and they are perfect campsites. The sites are 75'-100' apart, more private than a state park, but close enough that a bigger group would feel close. Portable Toilet is on site 100' from the Big Cedar site. May through October Cedar Hallow- Our original campsite, sports a hammock, a picnic table, a fire pit, a good area for 2 tents, probably 6 people. The site has huge cedar trees all around so it's filtered sunlight most of the day, & warm in the summer! Big Cedar- Our bigger site. Equipped with a fire pit, a picnic table, hammock, and space for 3-4 tents, probably 12 people comfortably. There is a dirt road that circles the property, it's great for walks and animal viewing but can get muddy in the rain so be prepared. Parking is a gravel lot directly across the little dirt road from the sites. Unload at the site then move to parking as to not block the road. Trucks with campers can pull tight to a site but don't pull into a site please, obey standard fallen tree limb boundaries. I keep a large water tote on-site with hose water for washing dishes or boiling.

Tent Camping We have an acre of land with an orchard, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, tons of flowers and peace and quiet except for some traffic on Veazie Cumberland Rd. There is a tree farm across the street from the campsite and a blueberry farm across Veazie. Picking time for blueberries is end of July into August. Deep lake is four miles from our house as well as Kanaskit State Park with a river. Mt Rainier is about 45 minutes away. Mt Peak, 1000 ft hike, is 4 miles toward Enumclaw from us. Nestled at the foothills of Mount Rainier, we are a serene farm 45 miles away from Seattle, 36 min drive away from the Mt Rainier Carbon River entrance, 1 hour from the Crystal Mountain Resort, and 1 hour 30 minutes from the Sunrise Visitor Center. I live here with my partner Khohay who now takes care of his family farm which used to be his late aunts Soma Institute of Structural Integration school (now ran by his brother on Whidbey Island). We are constantly doing projects around the property to restore, improve and preserve the beauty that it has to offer and would love to share it with other people as we go! AMENITIES/THINGS TO DO: -There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. There is one close to the communal kitchen area, one closer to the field by the barn, and we have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed. -WIFI is available closer to the communal area. LOCATION: 2 miles from downtown Buckley with Blue Max Meats and the Rainier Fresh Country Store for a quick trip down the road for groceries and less than 15 minute drive to Enumclaw with more restaurant options available and Bonney Lake also 15 minutes away with Costco, Fred Meyers etc.

This camp site is very private and peaceful! We will be open from May 1st through September, 2026. We have a 3 night maximum stay per booking. The site can accommodate up to two RVs or 3-4 tents depending on the distance apart. We allow up to 6 people per booking. The firepit and the Snoqualmie River are about 150' away from your tent or RV. We have a porta-potti at the camp site and also two picnic tables. Pets are welcome at our HipCamp, but we do require that you clean up after them. Near North Bend there are several hiking/biking trails including the trail up Mt. Si., Si View Park, and the Rattlesnake Ridge trail system. For shoppers, we have shops in town and the Factory Outlet Mall. For dining, there are several restaurants in North Bend. PLEASE NOTE: CHECK IN TIME: 2:00-5:00 P.M. Our rate is $85 per night. We ask all drivers (cars, RVs, trailers, etc.) to back into the campsite. This will make for an easy exit. Thanks!! Our family has lived and worked this farm since 1912. Originally the fields were used to grow peas (1940's), dairy (1950-1960's), black angus (1970-1980's), hogs & dairy replacement heifers (1990's), fresh culinary herbs for the grocery stores (last 20 years). Every year the location you are camping on floods and holds at least 3 feet of water, hence we only offer seasonal camping.
