Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

Dave makes it super easy to book and get in and out. This is my second time staying there and will again. The space is plenty private and comfortable.

I loved this secluded site! The site had a lot of space, and I appreciated the picnic benches, tables, and fire pit. Andrew is very kind and was helpful during the check in process. I also got to meet his mule and horses!

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

Even prettier than last time. Very quiet although Fourth of July Fireworks in town took place this week. Very natural mountain setting with tons of birds and mature trees. Love that the commute is easy and the host couldn’t be nicer. Booking again today. Close to Riverscene County park swimming hole.

Weekend Trip to Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

The camp site was very nice and clean, the cabin was clean and comfortable and kept pretty warm at night. When it god colder the propane heater worked great. The host was very gracious, she showed us around and showed us how to use the heater. No one bothered us our whole trip and the host was available if we needed anything. We went to town on our second day and picked up things we forgot, the local IGA had everything we needed. My Subaru forester made it up the big hill just fine, just like she says don’t hesitate but 4 wheel drive helped a lot. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed camping on Andrew’s land with our dog! It was our dog’s first ever camping trip. Since she is dog reactive, we don’t feel comfortable taking her camping at state parks, etc. Once I learned about the privacy Hipcamp camping can provide, I found Andrew’s land and figured it would be perfect for us; and it was. The babbling brook was soothing, and we loved all the Salmonberries and butterflies. Andrew even introduced me to Thimbleberries when we first arrived. Great for people and dogs! Perfect place to relax, read a book, and spend quality time exploring or being still.

1 night at Simple Roots Ranch

A+++. Our stay at the Potting Shed was beyond delightful. The lovely room had a comfortable bed and a view of the gardens. The outdoor kitchen had everything a cook could need, and we really loved the logwood countertops,. There were even fresh berries in the refrigerator for us, plus fresh cut garden flowers, lovely soaps and tea cloths, etc. The outside shower room was equally cute with its clawfoot bath (as a shower) and fresh cut lavender and scrub salts. The couple was so kind, making us very feel welcome, even starting the campfire for us and sharing fresh greens from their extensive vegetable gardens. The property is beautiful, I only wish we’d set aside more time to explore the property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

1 night at Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

I cannot begin to recommend this Hipcamp enough. We recently stayed in Cabin 1 and were completely satisfied with both the cabin and the surrounding property. The camp host was very helpful in showing us around, making sure questions were answered and even a last-minute adjustment. The area around the property is packed with all kinds of outdoor activities all within short driving distance. Great dog property to burn off excess energy and not have to worry about any side-eye from the neighbors. We will absolutely be returning to this site again in the future. Thank you very much Grace for welcoming us to your beautiful campsite. See you again soon.

The Simple Roots Ranch Potting Shed was very quaint and situated within a lush garden. Both Sharon and Dave were very accommodating to my kids and I during our 2 night stay. We enjoyed fresh berries from the garden, strolled through the wooded trails, and generally enjoyed the well tended grounds. A beautiful stay.

Kris was communicative and accommodating of our last minute booking. Thanks! Plenty of space for our Eurovan in the driveway and 2 tents in the beautifully kept yard. The location is conveniently located just outside North Bend, and a quick trip to QFC, breweries, and restaurants so no stress about forgetting stuff. The location still feels fairly urban but with a lot of nature jumping off points a short distance away. This space is great for someone prioritizing convenience but not necessarily seclusion.

Such a peaceful and well-thought-out campsite. Surrounded by towering trees and right next to a bubbling creek, it felt like a true forest retreat. The shelter, fire ring, and even the footbridge were all beautifully built from local wood. Loved the spring water faucet and the little details—like the wheelbarrow for our gear. Secluded but comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

Deep lake is four miles from our house as well as Kanaskit State Park with a river. Mt Rainier is about 45 minutes away. Mt Peak, 1000 ft hike, is 4 miles toward Enumclaw from us. The Little Cabin in the Woods

Huge old century-old cedar stumps litter the surrounding woods and you'll see where loggers in the early 1900's cut into the sides to place their springboards. The trees surrounding the property today are mostly fir and alder. The 16'x20' cabin sits tucked back against the forest, looking out with territorial forest and mountain views of the Cascades. Outside you'll find a firepit with chairs and a picnic table for your enjoyment. Off to the side you'll also find our tidy and clean-smelling outhouse. Inside the cabin you'll be surprised at the roominess and open feel given the cabin's dimensions. A counter with sink hides all of your plates, utensils, pots and pans. An L-shaped dining nook seats 3 comfortably. Across the room you'll find wonderful wood-stove for those chilly nights, and a sofa to relax on. A wide ladder leads up to the sleeping loft where you'll find a double -sized (full) futon bed tucked under the window looking out toward the mountains. Given the cabin's size, it is best-suited for couples. There is a nice flat tent-site at the cabin as well. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests at the property at any time. Please note, this is an OFF-GRID cabin with NO ELECTRICITY or RUNNING WATER. You're welcome to bring a portable generator to plug into our lighting system. In the Spring/Summer we have a rain barrel that may provide limited water to the sink for washing only, NOT for drinking.

Dean’s Campground

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT ALL SUMMER - mid to late June, until rain starts again. Bring an alternate source for cooking, ambiance, heat. Eight minutes off SR 18 lies 11 acres of mostly undeveloped land. Dean's is a beautiful, bare-bones place to rest. Our main driveway is CLOSED this year for repairs. We have alternate arrival instructions for you after you book. These instructions add about 7 minutes (totaling 8 minutes) from SR 18 to the campground. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. Our distant neighbors occasionally indulge in target shooting. We have a brand new neighborhood in construction on one of our property lines. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. Propane stoves are welcome during fire bans. We do not have a check in cut-off time. Reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. The 40+ year old trees and distance between the campsites provides space for you to bring and create your own vibes. Hosts should only approach you with safety or quiet hour concerns. The farm is on 12 acres of sloping field set against a tall forested backdrop, and only a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shopping, bars and groceries. Three designated level campsites are spaced around the property, each with a fire pit and picnic table. Please pay attention to the fact that these are walk-in sites, and you'll be hauling your camping items from the parking area over uneven ground. We provide a cart to help tote your items, if needed. There is a communal central deck for camper's use, with a water spigot, power outlet and sink, plus a propane stove and some cooking utensils. A communal port-a-potty is available to campers. Parking is in one designated location, and campers must be prepared to walk about 300 feet over uneven ground to their campsite. The working farm fields are not open to campers, but can be admired as a backdrop. A You-Pick flower patch and farm stand at the entrance of the property are open for shopping, picture-taking and flower-picking seasonally. Pets and campfires (outside of burn bans) are permitted. Guests love staying here: "We loved our experience at Alyssa's Flower Farm. The property is beautiful - everywhere you look, you're surrounded by gorgeous scenes of nature. Sunrise and sunset was amazing, and there's something so lovely about hearing songbirds in the trees. They have a beautiful flower farm, and we fell very lucky to have gotten the chance to enjoy it. We are a 20 acre tree farm in the making on beautiful Whidbey Island. The property is rough graded with lots of areas to explore. Close to town for supplies but quiet, and crazy stars at night. We have cleared two of the cedar groves on the south side, and they are perfect campsites. The sites are 75'-100' apart, more private than a state park, but close enough that a bigger group would feel close. Portable Toilet is on site 100' from the Big Cedar site. May through October Cedar Hallow- Our original campsite, sports a hammock, a picnic table, a fire pit, a good area for 2 tents, probably 6 people. The site has huge cedar trees all around so it's filtered sunlight most of the day, & warm in the summer! Big Cedar- Our bigger site. Equipped with a fire pit, a picnic table, hammock, and space for 3-4 tents, probably 12 people comfortably. There is a dirt road that circles the property, it's great for walks and animal viewing but can get muddy in the rain so be prepared. Parking is a gravel lot directly across the little dirt road from the sites. Unload at the site then move to parking as to not block the road. Trucks with campers can pull tight to a site but don't pull into a site please, obey standard fallen tree limb boundaries. I keep a large water tote on-site with hose water for washing dishes or boiling.

Every year the location you are camping on floods and holds at least 3 feet of water, hence we only offer seasonal camping. The property has held events from town picnics in the 1930's, hoedowns in the 70's and a traveling circus in the 1980's. It is perfectly located 1 minute to Duvall and 25 minutes to Redmond. Learn more about this land: This 4th generation grass valley floor at sea level includes views of Mt. Baker & Rainer. Surrounded by retired culinary herb fields and planted cow corn to the west. Summer includes herds of heifers ranging the north. Your spot is minutes to amenities in "Old" town Duvall and swimming holes on the Snoqualmie River. There are many culvert crossings between #4 & #5 for a fun walk around and a tall grass path near #1 & #2 to get lost in.

There is unlimited recreation in the area, including many hiking and riding trails near by. There is plenty of space on the property to bring your boat or ATVs (or rent from The Last Resort)! The power is 110v. We also have high speed WIFI making it easy to work from the campsite. Please note that we do not have water or sewer hookups. There are two picnic tables and a fire pit in a large open area. There is a creek running through the property and string lights leading to it. If you would like to use the propane fire pit table, please bring your own propane tank or you can fill up an empty one that is available at the campsite to use.
