This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. NO TENTS, please. Also we have NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes.
There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm.
Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 12 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm.
The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail.
There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs through the check-in entry-way. Tilton River Studio Gallery.
Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site (dumpster) available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

We have a 1/2 acre property on the Cowlitz River in the middle of Cooks Ferry Park in Castle Rock WA. We bought the property to relax in a beautiful setting close to home. We only live 15 minutes away.
The property is made up of dredge spoils from when Mt. Saint Helens blew and is inside of a park where people can go to fish and enjoy the river. There are only 8 lots privately owned and we are the first lot that you come to.
There is plenty of room for an RV. Guests can also tent camp or stay in our shack that has a sleeper sofa. There are snacks, a sign in book, an axe, briquets, a fire extinguisher, and other items the shack. There is a picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, and wood stove. There is a porta potty on the property.
We value your privacy. We do have cameras on the property that are on when no one is there. Once a Hipcamper arrives at the property, they are turned off. We also keep our travel trailer there to enjoy when we can. We will never be there camping when you are there. In the summer, we sometimes kayak. We put in upriver and get out at the property. If it is booked at that time, we will always check first to see if it is okay for us to get out there.
If you continue going past our property, there are some nice rock beaches with pretty views. People fish there and wade in the water in the summer.
Castle Rock is a cute little town with some nice shops, restaurants and bars. I recommend checking it out!
We are not picky about check in/check out time. It would only matter if someone else was checking in the day you are checking out. Please ask if you expect to arrive earlier or want to check out later.

River access is just a short distance away, providing opportunities for fishing, sunbathing, or floating along the Cowlitz River. Just follow the pink flagging from our "Black Tail River Trail" sign at the south end of the grounds along the mowed path into the woods to the river. Approx 750' from the sign.
Conveniently located near the towns of Kelso and Longview, and only 2.7 miles from Castle Rock.
Two full hookups are available, two water/power sites, along with ample dry camping areas. We have a porta potty as well.
Horses are welcome on the property, as are leashed/penned and friendly pets. Dogs can be off leash at the river, but be courteous and aware of other dogs. Please clean up after your animals!
Cell phone coverage is good here, we do not have wifi available.
We offer firewood for sale (cash) and allow propane fire pits. We also have a community fire pit for our campers, called the Lave Pit, directly across from our dry camp area. We follow the Cowlitz County burn ban, July 15-Sept 30.
Motorized off-road vehicles are allowed ONLY for transport of gear to/from the river or for those with mobile disabilities. We ask that you are respectful of the trails and drive slowly.

A family favorite! This campsite is on the Coweeman River, 16 miles east of Interstate 5, on Rose Valley Rd, Kelso, WA. A pool deep/large enough for swimming makes it a wonderful summer retreat. Caution: wet rocks are as slick as ice!
There is only one site on this property so your party will have it to yourselves. A fire pit, with on site firewood available for purchase ($10/tub/30ish pieces), provides warmth after your dip in the cool water. Fire stater and kindling are complimentary if minimally used. A picnic table is under a newly constructed shelter.
The driveway terminates in a cul de sac; an area large enough for any vehicle to turn around. A small trailer (less than 20') is fine if you're talented getting it turned around or can unhitch and turned around by hand. Towing a trailer you'd need a 4 wheel drive to get it out of the steepish driveway. There is a large flat area for parking/tents plus a couple remote, dirt sites for tents.
There is no potable water onsite though the Coweeman River runs clear/clean and could be boiled/treated.
Non digging, well mannered dogs are allowed (2 maximum) provided their responsible owners clean up after them.
A new nifty outhouse has a great view! Only pee and poop go into the pit.
Rose Valley Road follows the Coweeman River, has little traffic, and may serve as a nice hike/bike up or down stream.

There is only one campsite on this property, insuring privacy and solitude during your stay. The setting is most private, the river lovely. This setting is wonderful for a quiet family getaway in the woods; it is not 'party' appropriate.
The Coweeman River runs clean and pristine. Though only 3' to 4' deep, it provides a refreshing dip on a warm summer's day. It can be used for washing and bathing and could be filtered/treated to make it potable.
A locked cabin has a large covered porch overlooking the River that is available for campers, complete with chairs and picnic table.
Well mannered, non-digging dogs are welcome (maximum 2) as long as their responsible owners clean up after them.
The camp has a pit toilet and we are asking guests to extend its life by only putting poop and pee in it. Please burn your TP or take it out with your trash.
There is a fire ring and a tub of firewood available (and refillable) on site for $10. Payment for the woodcutter is through Venmo when you return to the electronic world. If you bring your own wood keep maximum length to 20" to keep fire/ash within ring. There is a picnic table and chairs at the fire ring.
Trash cans are provided. Please remove your trash.
Don't forget to bring drinking water, toilet paper, headlamp/flashlight, roasting sticks for them s'mores, water shoes and tromping shoes. The closest store for supplies is 11 miles (20ish minutes) down Rose Valley Road, a small country market with basics, and fuel.
There driveway is steep but fine for 2 wheel drive vehicles (except when towing). When driving out, make sure gate is open before starting the climb out.. The driveway is steepest at the gate so please do not stop there as tire spinning will result.

Batwater Station is located halfway between Portland and the Oregon Coast on the Columbia River. A private refuge where river otter, beaver, mink, muskrat, seals, raccoons along with threatened Columbia river white tailed deer can be seen. Property has 1,000 feet of boat docks, river deck, and pier. At the pier is a full kitchen, heated bathroom and shower room. Included are 2 outhouses, a fire pit for summer months, a viewing station overlooking the wetlands along with brick charcoal fired barbecue and another propane barbecue. We are committed to your privacy so guests are limited and spread out. High speed internet through out the property.
Batwater worked with several agencies when we breeched a levee and flooded 26 acres for salmon and wildlife habitat. Hike along the wetlands and see beaver dams and dens. Batwater is also home for many types of birds including eagles, osprey, tree swallow, purple martins, barn swallows, wood ducks, common and hooded mergansers, mallards, scoots, scaups, grebes, cormorants, great egrets, blue herons, geese and many types of song birds . In the spring and summer see our returning osprey who have. nested on our dock since 2013. There are now 2 osprey platform since a pair of Canada geese choose that as their nesting site as well. Some bald eagles winter here but we have our resident bald eagles Hep and Hope. They arrived in 2003 to start their nest on Crims Island. They still nest there although there old nest tree collapsed in 2020. Many birds migrate here for the winter. Common mammals are river otter, mink, muskrat, raccoons, nutria, coyotes, black tailed and threatened Colombia White Tailed deer. We also are home to native turtles and frogs.
Batwater is a working farm with cattle feeding on lush pastures, 2 retired horses and chickens. When eggs are available, we will share some with you.
Batwater is a great place to kayak, canoe, paddle board or row during the summer months. We have windy afternoons for windsurfers or sailors. The Columbia River is well known for salmon, and sturgeon. For an extra fee you can moor your larger boat while visiting. There are a volley ball and badminton set ups along with horse shoes during the summer months. We suggest swimming during the summer months when the tide is coming in or slack. You can also walk or drive down to Mayger beach which is popular with locals. There are sandy beaches on Crims island that you can paddle over too.

This campsite is right at the end of the paved county road with only 5 neighbors past it. Any vehicle can access it. There is parking for an RV and 2 vehicles.
Located about 10-15 minutes from Mayfield Lake. 20 minutes from Mossyrock. There are several nearby logging roads for exploring.
This site is very quiet except for a few cars that drive by each day.
There is a picnic table and fire pit with grill (except during burn bans, usually July-September). There is also some firewood available for use. Update: sorry but the fire pit is no longer available due to a guest burning car parts in it. But you are welcome to bring your own.
Site has full hookups: 50 amp (240v) electrical service (adapter available to 30 amp, 120v), sewer, and water (not tested for drinking). Please don't unplug the cord in the 20 amp plug. It is for a sewer pump. Thank you.

This was our very first trailer and trip for my wife and I and 2 dogs, we couldn't have been more lucky to pick the concord site. The hosts were more than hospitable and checked in on us upon arrival, delivered our wood, gave us the lowdown.
Beautiful property and well layed out. Quiet and relaxing ...just what we needed to de stress.

Awsome place! Lots of area the kids can play in between spots. There is an awesome river trail that is a quick hike. We love it and we will probably come back! No lighr pollution or noise pollution. You can legit hear the toads and birds! Quiet, just what we wanted. They also have cheap firewood bundles (big bunlde)on site that you can pay cash. There are more activities that the host offer we just did not participate on it like a art class and art gallery and they sell local honey. We booked the RV concord site its was an awesome memorial day weekend

Andy's property was perfect for us! It was the quiet, peaceful retreat away from the hustle of the world we needed.
Initially we were worried because of other reviews, but we had absolutely no problems at all. We have a 22 foot trailer, no slide outs. There is a slope to the spot, but we had no problem getting it leveled out at all. The property is right off of a side road, right as it turns into a primitive road. We saw no one from Friday - Monday drive this road, until Monday when we were getting ready to pull away, someone else came down the hill with their RV.
The creek on the side of the spot was a hit with our teens. They went "fishing" for salamanders and whatever else they could find. The spot was much bigger than what the pictures give it credit for. Our kids still prefer a tent over the RV, and there was enough room for them to set up their individual tents, cornhole, gas firepit. the picnic table, and there was still space.
There is no Verizon service at the spot, which was perfectly fine with us. That was part of its appeal, along with the quietness and being a solo spot. Parts of salmon creek road are narrow, and curvy, but we had no problems navigating it with the trailer.
Andy was a great host who checked in with us shortly after we arrived. We had no problems while there, and so other than telling him things were great, that was it. We will definitely be back!

The site was huge and so well maintained, that one would want to live there. Between the views, peace, friendliness of the owners & hosts, we will definitely be back….and soon. I was shocked that we didn’t hear one firework from the surrounding area over the Memorial Day holiday. Barb & Terry- thank you again for opening your place to campers, you have made our holiday weekend very special and we appreciate that.

Nice location with 30A power, water and sewer. The hostess was nice and treated us well. The restrooms and showers were nice. There an open room where a large group can prepare and eat meals.

The site was in a green grassy meadow, shaded with cottonwood. The graveled fire ring was perfect and the ground even. A nice walk to the river was included. Easy to access sites. Close to Mt. St. Helen.

The Arboretum was the perfect retreat for my husband, dog, and I. The grounds were beautifully kept and each campsite was huge. The lawns there rival a city park. It was truly a gift for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The owners, Barb and Terry, were very cordial and welcoming. It is apparent they have put alot of work and love into the property to make it a great destination!

What a pleasant surprise this place was. Trish was super helpful and friendly. She quickly answered any questions we had. They are close enough to help if needed but far enough away where you felt complete privacy. Full hookups was a big perk. The view was amazing, tons of birds singing, wildlife to explore, acres of land to roam, a pond for the doggies to enjoy, and river access. We plan our RV trips around our golden retrievers ability to enjoy them and this place was heaven to them. Many wonderful memories made. 10/10
