Please Note: Property ownership has transferred, but the same friendly host is managing your campsite. Please read the description in its entirety. A family favorite! This campsite is on the Coweeman River, 16 miles east of Interstate 5, on Rose Valley Rd, Kelso, WA. A pool deep/large enough for swimming makes it a wonderful summer retreat. Caution: wet rocks are as slick as ice! There is only one site on this property so your party will have it to yourselves. A fire pit, with on site firewood available for purchase ($10/tub/30ish pieces), provides warmth after your dip in the cool water. Fire stater and kindling are complimentary if minimally used. A picnic table is under a newly constructed shelter. The driveway terminates in a cul de sac; an area large enough for any vehicle to turn around. A small trailer (less than 20') is fine if you're talented getting it turned around or can unhitch and turned around by hand. Towing a trailer you'd need a 4 wheel drive to get it out of the steepish driveway. There is a large flat area for parking/tents plus a couple remote, dirt sites for tents. There is no potable water onsite though the Coweeman River runs clear/clean and could be boiled/treated. Non digging, well mannered dogs are allowed (2 maximum) provided their responsible owners clean up after them. A new nifty outhouse has a great view! Only pee and poop go into the pit. Rose Valley Road follows the Coweeman River, has little traffic, and may serve as a nice hike/bike up or down stream. The rules are listed below under During Your Trip by clicking on 'Host Rules'. By reserving this site the Booker, and all guests, agrees to abide by these rules. Cell coverage is nonexistent/weak, depending on carrier. Please plan accordingly and enjoy your time away from digital distractions.A gated driveway leads to a flat, graveled area, large enough to circle in an SUV, three point turn in a truck, or finagle a small trailer. If pulling a trailer the steepish driveway requires an all wheel drive vehicle. Tent sites available are 2 cleared spots 200 feet from your vehicle, or anywhere on the graveled area. There is no potable water on site though the river runs clear/clean and could be boiled/treated. The location 'pinned' on the Hipcamp map is not totally accurate. You will receive the precise location, driving directions and instructions on how to unlock the driveway gate in an automated message 48 hours prior to your stay. Happy Hipcamping!
Rig suitability
Vehicles under 20 feet allowed
This is the 1st year of using the site for Hipcamping so unsure of max vehicle size. My long bed, extended cab Ford pickup can easily 3 point turn at the end of the driveway.
Allowed rigs: pop-up campers, class B RVs, campervans, cars, truck campers, and rooftop tents
The driveway ends in a cul de sac; an approximately 100' open aera, circular in shape. There is plenty of room for an SUV/small truck to turn around in this diameter. Larger vehicles (as an F-250) would have to make a 3 point turn. A trailer that could be disconnected from the towing vehicle and turned around by hand is suitable for this campsite.
Back-in site
Turn around at the cul de sac at the driveway's end.
Surface type: Loose Gravel
Surface levelness: Flat
No class A RVs, class C RVs, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers

Doesn't accommodate slideouts
There is plenty of width for slideouts, it would be an issue of the RV being too big to get turned around at the driveway's end and making it back up the steepish driveway.
