The owners, Michael and Karin, were so welcoming (and their dog Molly)! The property is breathtaking and incredibly peaceful. We cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay. Easy to navigate and plenty of amenities.

If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, this is the place. Within minutes of arriving , We knew, we were in a special place. We were greeted by warm and peaceful host and felt welcomed immediately.
This property is truly special. You can feel the love and care they put into every bit of this land. We saw so much wild life. Nesting Ospreys and herons, deer, a sealion, a river otter, racoons, and baby ducks to name a few.
We stayed in the RV spot that was right next to the river, we did need an extra extension cord to reach our trailer and our hose wasn't quite long enough to reach the water, but it worked out fine. We also had the opportunity to check out the yurt and the houseboat. Both are very unique and would be fun to stay in. Will definitely be back!

We are as smitten w/ this place as everyone else. Read the reviews. They are 100% spot on. Want wildlife? Especially birds? Bring your good binoculars. Stay extra days. Karin & Michael are ideal hosts. We already have our return trip booked. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We did need an extension cord to plug-in because the power junction box wasn’t as close to where we wanted to park. So throw in an extension cord. This place offers a refuge for wildlife and campers. LOVED it. ALL THE STARS.

We had a lovely stay on Karin's property! The RV spot sat right on the river with plenty of privacy, but still close to the bathroom/shower and kitchen area. Everyone was very friendly and happy to suggest things to do and see and the property had everything we needed! We loved swimming off of the dock, paddleboarding and watching the wildlife around the property. Very relaxing spot and would definitely come back to stay again.

Wow. I cannot get over how perfect my stay was. Karin has thought of everything that you could possibly want. The area is serene and the accommodations are so thoughtful and have everything that you could want (extra chargers if you forgot yours!). It is a perfect blend of getting away from the mundane city life without all of the work of tent camping. I felt so at ease, my dog had a great time, and I will certainly be back.

We LOVED staying here! It's a really easy drive from Portland, and then boom- you are in paradise! From the free fresh eggs provided for your morning breakfast, to the dock full of watercraft you can use whenever you want, this is a gorgeously relaxing and affordable escape. The river views that every accommodation has are one of the many cherries on top of this stunning nature sundae. (Another cherry being all the streaming networks on your TV and good wifi😁). Something for everyone❤️❤️ We can't wait to go back!

This place has it all! Beautiful scenery, river access, fishing, kayak, horses, otters, amazing sunsets. On our two week trip this was by far the best place we stayed. The RV site was right on the water, we got a wonderful tour of the property by Karin. She made sure our son had a life jacket and a net to catch tadpoles. He had plenty of room to ride his bike and it felt very safe. The kitchen is fully functional, bathrooms were very clean. The only downside is that we only stayed two nights! Highly recommend!

I love the privacy and the quiet. The surrounding ecology is amazing! Karin is so laid back and hospitable which made my visit very relaxing and comfortable. The amenities are very well thought out and it’s obvious a lot of care has been put into the lodgings.

Once u get there, no need to leave. Lots of birds and wildlife. Karin limits the number of campers to be there at one time. So it is very quiet and peaceful.

Yurt was great, warm and comfortable. This is our 5th trip to the property and as always we enjoyed everything about this peacful retreat. From Karin and her husband to their sweet dog Molly. Enjoyed all of the birds including Osprey nesting right in front of the yurt. Simply watching the river go by and reading to the sounds of nature.

The was a great place to come even for a rainy March getaway. It would be fantastic in nicer weather when one could have fun playing on or in the river. We saw all kinds of critters, including many, many birds. The host was super, very helpful and kind. The common area was well stocked with the things we forgot to bring. We will be back!

Another spontaneous trip to be next to a body of water, this time is the Columbia river. Just wow! Such an amazing property Karin has, she is very responsive, friendly and overall a star host. Thanks so much for letting us immerse in nature in your beautifully maintained paradise. We’ve had a lot of animal sounds, from different birds singing, frogs chatting to howling coyotes or (maybe wolves) we dont know. We loved the outhouse with complete kitchen facilities, toilet and bathroom, that is heated! Campsites and other forms of accommodation (yurt, cabin & boathouse) were distant from each other and we felt our spot was private even though it’s in the roadway. We really loved our stay here, with the amazing sounds of nature, serenity and the views were truly outstanding! We’d love to come back.

A truly special way to experience life along the river, the Houseboat is beautifully designed, artfully decorated and thoughtfully equipped throughout. We loved getting to watch the wildlife all around us while also enjoying the luxuries of a big comfy bed, fast WIFI and space for remote work, and everything you could need to cook a great meal and feel at home. Very cool hosts and history about the area! Karin and Michael are lovely folks -- proactive, kind, responsive and helped us with any issues that popped up. Highly recommend!

We loved camping at Bat water station. They had a nice trail to walk and our camp site was right next to the river. The bathroom was very warm and clean. The kitchen was also well stocked and heated so we cooked our breakfast in the kitchen. It was very mice gor them to offer us free eggs.
The owner was very kind and generous. It was freezing cold and they offered us to watch TV in the heated yurt.
It was obvious that the owner cared about our safety and comfort more than anything.
The owners’ thoughtful hospitality made me want to come back.

We stayed 2 nights at Batwater, Karin's beautiful piece of paradise. My 2 dogs and myself stayed in the cabin. What an absolutely magical place. The cabin itself is warm, inviting, and stocked with everything you could need. Karin's attention to detail is noticeable in the many comfort items provided. The linens were beautiful and cozy. The best was laying snuggled in bed looking out the slider door window at the river. Bird and nature sounds and sights to delight you. We walked the numerous trails along the river and meadows overlooking the wetland area. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was very private and quiet, we absolutely loved our time there. I already have booked again, and am sure I will be a regular visitor. This property, and it's owners are a true treasure!

Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous setting - I got to see otters, seals, owls, herons, cranes, listen to birdsongs, all from a comfy spot that has everything you need. The hosts have thought of everything - even binoculars for wildlife spotting. The hosts are absolutely lovely and I can't wait to come back!

Hidden gem on a lesser known part of the Columbia River. Karin and Mike have built a beautiful and peaceful space right on the river. Great blue herons, egrets and harbor seals are just a few of nature’s gifts you’ll enjoy here. The full kitchen was a luxury during our winter stay. Farm fresh eggs were available. Toilet and a hot shower were sweet additions too! I can imagine summer family excursions here being unforgettable with all the available water toys, grills and places to wander. Check out their luxury-meets-rustic yurt-cabin, floating home and tiny cabin too! We’ll be back and we’ll be inviting friends!!

Houseboat on the Columbia River
Beautiful secluded piece of heaven. We stayed in the cabin down the road last time and it was wonderful and we had told ourselves. We were coming back to stay on the house boat and it was wonderful. Place is just beautiful. You get to feel the water feel you know, or you're it's serene and you get to see all kinds of nice wildlife some cute raccoons that she feeds.So you can like, stay inside and watch your feet them.It's very sweet. Everything you need is there and karen is a great host.She's probably the best that we've countered,thus far. I recommend anyone who does hip camp. Try this out. It's beautiful. It's wonderful. It's so cute, greatly priced. We definitely look forward to going there again and trying out the yurt that they built.

There are a couple fun lodging options (yurt, and floating house) and an RV site that has water and electric. You have access to a full kitchen in a cute little cabin with heated bathroom and shower room. It's extremely peaceful, we were not far from home, but it felt like it.
