🏕Our Camp is situated on about 5 acres of Dense Enormous Evergreen Forest in the Olympic temperate rain forest region. It is next to the road on Highway 101 but still offers our guests the wilderness experience and Semi-Privacy with tall trees surrounding the camp. We recommend that our guests use GPS to find Forks, WA, First. Once you find Forks, you will be able to find our camp.
Helpful Hints: If you are traveling from the South side of town: We are only a Half Mile from the Northbound Edge of town on the Right. If you are traveling from the North side: Watch for milepost number 193, you are very close. Our camp will be on the left.

We require guests to arrive at our camp with an empty black waste water holding tank. Some Rest Areas along the I-5 freeway have free dump stations. We encourage travelers to Google for more options.
🚻There are 5 restroom pods that stay open for our guests to use 24/7. Hot Showers: $5.00 per guest, in 3 of the restrooms between the hours: 7am-7pm Summer. 8am-6pm after summer.

A excellent location between Seattle and Tacoma, with access to freeways, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, the transit center and Puget Sound waterfront parks and trails—all within a nearby two miles.
Your stay includes all the benefits of living a better quality of life, that living at a lake house provides.
Enjoy panoramic, serene lake views in the back of the house, as you relax or enjoy a meal on the entertainment size patio.
Follow the path that’s embraced by flowering gardens, trees, next to a rock wall that winds gently down the hill past a fire pit, to an archway made of sticks, as you enter the expansive open space in front of you, with woods of the vacant land next door on the left side, and a huge grass lawn, where you are invited to play fetch with your well behaved dog, or throw a frisbee with a friend.
To get to the lake shore, keep left, next to the woods, which is my 1/3 portion of the huge open space. Go straight ahead to find my hidden private dock and secluded beach, at the end of a short waterfront trail. During the warmer months, the rowboat, tandem kayak, & 2 paddle boards are kept here, ready to take out fishing or for a tour around the peaceful lake.
Many water birds and other birds call this home. You may spot a great blue heron or crane as they stretch their wings for several minutes soaking up the sun. Or you may see,
osprey and bald eagles soaring overhead then diving into the lake to swoop up a fish for their next meal.
Spend the day relaxing at the beach with a good book, soaking up the sun, or enjoying a picnic at the two picnic tables. As the day winds down, gather around the beach fire pit, the fire pit next to the garden path, or the fire pit at your campsite for a relaxing evening camp fire.
Swimming is part of the good life here.
Life jackets are available to use, in many sizes, and there are plenty of beach towels too. We are installing a slide into the water, off the dock this summer. Motorboats aren’t permitted on this lake, so it’s always serene and peaceful.
It’s all part of what makes staying here such a terrific getaway.

Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula.
We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office.

We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play.
Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca.
Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US!
We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21.
There are more sites on the other part of the Campground.
The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing.
The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play.

Fires may be allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.)Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful!
Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate.
There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.
There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed.
DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine.
The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views.
Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company. Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more.
Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town. You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer.
If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores. You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways. I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well. What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed.
And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing!
There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy.

osprey and bald eagles soaring overhead then diving into the lake to swoop up a fish for their next meal.
Spend the day relaxing at the beach with a good book, soaking up the sun, or enjoying a picnic at the two picnic tables. As the day winds down, gather around the beach fire pit, the fire pit next to the garden path, or the fire pit at your campsite for a relaxing evening camp fire.
Swimming is part of the good life here.
Life jackets are available to use, in many sizes, and there are plenty of beach towels too. We are installing a slide into the water, off the dock this summer. Motorboats aren’t permitted on this lake, so it’s always serene and peaceful.

Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula.

We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca.
Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US!
We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21.
There are more sites on the other part of the Campground.
The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing.
The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play.

You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful!

There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.
There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed.
DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine.
The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views.
Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company. Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more.
Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town. You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer.
If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores. You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways. I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well. What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed.
And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing!
There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy.

Great experience sleeping near the gorge. Got snowed in but our hosts were gracious enough to stop by and give us heads up of the inclement weather. They offered us some of their wood for the stove and a parking spot out of the rough snow covered roads. All of it made us feel safe and comfortable in our experience in this gorgeous yurt on this beautiful piece of land!

I will definitely rent the camp site again. The first night we were there I didn't realize my daughter had grabbed the wrong tent. She grabbed a beach tent. The first night was a little rough for us. The next day we went out exploring. When we came back our tent was covered with a pop up cover. I'm so grateful for that.

Another lovely stay on Huckleberry Hill! Like during our last visit, Shannon was quick to respond and accommodated me with my terrible sense of direction by sending two maps, one with the water spigot location highlighted.
It didn’t rain but we woke up to a heavy frost covering all the trees. What a winter wonderland! When the sun came out in full force, the melting frost came down like droplets of sunshine. ☀️

Getting to the campsite was straightforward as David provided written directions on getting to the property once Google Maps gets you close to the property.
The road up to the property is suitable for any cars or vans and even RV's and campers. Plenty of turn around real estate at top to navigate the bigger campers or RV's.
The campsite was easy to find as we just looked for the yellow picnic table. There was another couple camping that night right next door but there was plenty of space between campsites and trees dividing each campsite that privacy was not an issue.
The views! Yes, that is the main reason why we booked this campsite. You can see Rainier, Adams and Helens at a birdseye from the camp spot. Take advantage of a clear day to enjoy those views.
The campsite were neat and soft with bark for some cushion underneath the tent. Nice and level.
If you plan on asto photography, be careful, you will have plenty of ambient city light from Tumwater and Olympia. Enough that it could affect your exposure.
We will be back again for sure!
