Serene Lake Views Terrific Location

6. Serene Lake Views Terrific Location

Auburn, WA · 1 site
Surrounded by nature & serene lake views, with nearby convenient amenities, make this a great getaway experience. A excellent location between Seattle and Tacoma, with access to freeways, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, the transit center and Puget Sound waterfront parks and trails—all within a nearby two miles. Your stay includes all the benefits of living a better quality of life, that living at a lake house provides. Enjoy panoramic, serene lake views in the back of the house, as you relax or enjoy a meal on the entertainment size patio. Follow the path that’s embraced by flowering gardens, trees, next to a rock wall that winds gently down the hill past a fire pit, to an archway made of sticks, as you enter the expansive open space in front of you, with woods of the vacant land next door on the left side, and a huge grass lawn, where you are invited to play fetch with your well behaved dog, or throw a frisbee with a friend. To get to the lake shore, keep left, next to the woods, which is my 1/3 portion of the huge open space. Go straight ahead to find my hidden private dock and secluded beach, at the end of a short waterfront trail. During the warmer months, the rowboat, tandem kayak, & 2 paddle boards are kept here, ready to take out fishing or for a tour around the peaceful lake. Many water birds and other birds call this home. You may spot a great blue heron or crane as they stretch their wings for several minutes soaking up the sun. Or you may see, osprey and bald eagles soaring overhead then diving into the lake to swoop up a fish for their next meal. Spend the day relaxing at the beach with a good book, soaking up the sun, or enjoying a picnic at the two picnic tables. As the day winds down, gather around the beach fire pit, the fire pit next to the garden path, or the fire pit at your campsite for a relaxing evening camp fire. Swimming is part of the good life here. Life jackets are available to use, in many sizes, and there are plenty of beach towels too. We are installing a slide into the water, off the dock this summer. Motorboats aren’t permitted on this lake, so it’s always serene and peaceful. It’s all part of what makes staying here such a terrific getaway.

Arlington, WA · 7 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Nestled near Arlington, our 75-acre property spans both new and old forest, featuring a salmon-filled creek and a vibrant beaver pond—all set against the dramatic backdrop of a 1,200-foot sheer cliff crowned with old-growth trees. Since its purchase in 1958 as a family retreat, this land has grown into much more than a getaway. It has become a place for relaxation, adventure, and connection with nature—a private forest for family and friends to enjoy. Over the years, the family has adopted forest stewardship and sustainable timber harvesting practices, while also developing campsites, trails, hosting rock concerts, and even producing wine. What began as a simple escape has evolved into something extraordinary: a tree farm that successfully balances nearly every goal a forest landowner could imagine—timber production, wildlife habitat, natural beauty, recreation, and forest resilience. Valhalla embodies all of this with a harmony so seamless, it feels effortless.

Ocean Shores, WA · 1 site · Tent, RV
Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company.  Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town.  You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer.  If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores.  You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways.   I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well.  What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed.  And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing!  There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy.  A wonderful place where memories are made.

Valhalla Tree Farm
