🏕 Our campground is located on approximately 5 acres of dense evergreen forest along Highway 101 in Forks, WA. While close to the highway for convenience, guests can still enjoy a semi-private wilderness atmosphere surrounded by nature.

🚍 RV guests must arrive with empty black water holding tanks. Nearby dump station options may be found online.
🚻 7 total restroom pods are available 24/7. Hot showers are $5 per guest and located behind the main office.
Our restrooms are cleaned regularly. Due to the damp Pacific Northwest climate, some shower caulking may show mildew staining despite routine cleaning and sanitizing.

Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula.
We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office.
We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have 15 tent sites and most are bigger tent sites, ones that are big enough for a RV on the East side of Pavel Road, Use our website dawleysrivercamping.com for details.
We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play.
Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca.
Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US!
We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21.
There are more sites on the other part of the Campground.
The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing.
The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play.
Activities nearby include:
Pacific Ocean beaches, Pleasant Lake, Crescent Lake, Beaver Lake, Snyder Lookout for stargazing, Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak floating, the area is great for hiking, biking, mushroom and fossil hunting, wildlife viewing, ATV trails, and much, much more, come have some fun.

Our rental property was once a mini Rail Road with full size locomotive's, train cars, pumper cars and more. My dad & grandpa layed all the tracks & put together the buildings in the 1970's. Once done my grandma sold tickets to the tourist and my grandpa ran the engine around the 7 acre oval track pulling a train car full of happy tourist through the woods over the train bridge and past the big water tower back to their vehicles so they could finish their journies with a drive to Mt. Rainier. There is a lot of history on this property for our family and we hope by sharing it with others they will be able to experience some fun here as well.

This is a camping location with ACCESS to the river, access to OUR farm land, ponds and DNR land. Our camp spots are private and not stacked on top of each other. We are about 45 minutes from ocean beaches, only a few minutes from the best riding, hiking and boating in the world. We have a cute bar and restaurant within a mile. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access.
There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We appreciate the wonderful feedback everyone gives it helps us grow with you!!

Across the road from our campground there is a trail leading to a peaceful spot on the river .
In the town of Marblemount there are two gas stations that offer a wide verity of supplies for you and your every day adventures , two restaurants both serving amazing food. Head east on Hwy 20 North Cascade pass leading you to the historic antiquted town of Winthrop to enjoy great food and a tone of family fun.

20 of us had a wonderful weekend down by the Wind River in this huge group site. The fire pit and benches saw a ton of use, and we were grateful to find a simple table built from a slab laid atop two tall stumps. Chris was really helpful with setting up the sauna, and we loved walking the springtime trails. A few of us reported a religious experience in the composting toilets as well - well-stocked and great light. Would recommend!

Alpaca my bags any day to stay here. I had so much fun with the animals. They were so friendly, especially when foods involved. Loved watching them roam around the paddock. Lots of wildlife too. Rondi was awesome, quick to respond and super accommodating. The farm is only a 10min walk to Safeway, 10 mins to the black ball ferry and 40min to hurricane ridge (a must do) . 10/10 would stay here again.

We loved camping on Matthew's land: the property is beautiful with hiking trails, grassy clearings, a pond, a creek and a few darling bridges (perfect for cute pictures). My pup and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Mathew kept fantastic contact, and directions were perfectly clear: I loved that nothing was a "surprise".
My only regret was not booking the site for longer, as it was a wonderful weekend. Already planning on our next trip to Green Acres later this summer!
