Although the creek is pretty shallow most of the time, we ask that if you have children, they are supervised at all times, especially around the water. The ranch comprises 40 acres of lowland acreage designated for the camp, including a 5-acre lake. The Cedar Grove sites 1, 2, and 3 are along the banks of Passage Creek located within a sparse, groomed Cedar grove. They are all a short walk (or drive) to the lake and beach amenities. Each site has varying access to the creek, so check out the site details. These sites are extra large and can accommodate multiple family groups, as well as, travel trailers of all sizes up to off-road motorcoaches in site 1. There are no hookups, so just boondocking. Pack it in, Pack it out. Generators are allowed but please be aware of the other sites and direct the noise away. The Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, nestled between the mountains and the lake. It overlooks our 5-acre lake with mountain views in the background. It's on the opposite side of the lake from the Cedar Sites. This site has its own dock and is just a short walk down a mowed trail to a beautiful section of Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream can cascade behind the site and run under it to feed the lake when the conditions are right. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions. The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America. It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! Also, if you want peace and quiet we have beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running around the labryinth whooping it up. (sites 4 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 10)

116 acres of forrest, hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions. The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America. It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! Also, if you want peace and quiet we have beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running around the labryinth whooping it up. (sites 4 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 10)

Private, quiet stream-front site. Our lab loved frolicking in the stream. Site was level and well-sized for my truck and camping trailer. In the summer, it would get a lot of sun over the southern ridge opposite the river, so solar collection would work. In November, sun was in short supply, and the sun angle was pretty low, so we just barely eked by. We bring our own bathroom facilities(Cleanwaste GO), but other campers who don’t want to be digging cat holes should be aware that there are no bathroom facilities if they are staying on site for a long time. Convenient to Old Rag for day hikers, and Montpelier for history buffs. No trouble with raccoons etc, but we kept our food secured just in case. Nice steel fire pit, which made cooking over the fire a breeze.

We absolutely loved this property! Beautiful views, very quiet, CLEAN and peaceful there is a gorgeous lake a short walk from camp site 1. Juan has beautiful horses on his property and they are so peaceful to watch. Water and electric hook up worked great, and our class A fit great and site was level. This location is about 1 mile off the main road we easily navigated down the dirt compacted/gravel road no issues. Again extremely quiet, just nature. Just 14 minutes to downtown Culpeper, charming downtown area, lots of shops, and diners. Walmart, Target, Martins, Lidl, and Lowes are just a few more minutes down the road. Can not recommend this camp enough, you will not be disappointed!

The barn apartment sits tucked into the woods overlooking the main garden and farm store area.

Weekend Trip to The Bluffs at Cedar Creek

A group of four of us stayed at this campsite over the past weekend and had such a wonderful experience! The entire area was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The porta-potties were pretty clean, and there were a good number of them stationed out by the front. Firewood was delivered to us by Levi's daughter which was a nice touch. When she wasn't around, we could easily grab a crate of firewood ourselves near the front and pay by Venmo or cash. The firepit that we had at our campsite was great, tall and had great air flow holes at the bottom and a metal grate we could use for cooking. The provided picnic table was nice and very wide. The campsite felt peaceful when we were sitting by the fire at night. The river near our campsite had a good amount of activity with people coming to fish for trout (which the owner stocks with plenty) which means we didn't have complete privacy during the day. However, our campsite's overall atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. I would absolutely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable outdoor escape. The location is perfect, only about an hour drive from Centreville, VA which makes the camping experience so much better we didn't have to drive far to experience some wonderful outdoors. Lots of sites to see in the area with hiking so we'll definitely be back to do more activities.

Our 1850 log cabin will eventually be restored for guest accommodations.

In addition to camping, we got to help feed the animals both mornings and our kids were thrilled. Had a great time!! It is a very special property and Jennifer was kind to show us the animals and tell us more about the history. The little cabin was comfortable and had all the basic cooking items we needed as well as plenty of water for dishes/handwashing! We enjoyed a complimentary wine tasting at a nearby winery that Jennifer gave us, but overall just hung out at the property and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also, the outhouse is difficult to see if you arrive at night, but it is there, just a few feet off the trail by the solar lights :)

Graham's land was beautiful! The site was well maintained, flat and an even space for our truck camping. There was a nice picnic table at each site with a fire box and grate to cook on, all stocked with firewood and even kindling to get started. The river wraps around the sites with giant rocks and a steap forest incline opposite of the site. The hosts were incredibly kind and went far out of their way to help us out. The river was very refreshing (it froze last night) but we still enjoyed the semi polar plunge. It'll be a perfect summer spot with a sandy beach and great rocks to jump off into the water.
