Enjoying 8 acres of the simpler life with Renee and our children, 15 minutes north of Harrisonburg, Virginia. We love animals, planting gardens, preserving quality food, and hiking and camping in both of the world-famous national parks here. We are third year hosts, and immensely gratified to share all we can from this amazing Shenandoah Valley. For many adventure seekers, we have been a gateway to nearby attractions, while many of our guests come here specifically to enjoy a humble get-away in the woods with electricity, great Wi-Fi and a hot shower.
There are several petting zoos near us, in case you want a little close-up exposure to some cute farm animals.
We are located 45 minutes from the Shenandoah National Park. Nathan is an avid hiker and familiar with so many fun outdoor attractions in the area. Please reach out to us, should you need any help planning your trip.

Loved RV camping here. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating. I work from home and the WiFi was more than satisfactory. The dogs the owner owns are incredibly nice and seem to get along great with all dogs including my own
I hope to stay here again

Memories
First time camping in my new little Coleman travel trailer. Of course, we were so involved with learning the trailer and enjoying camping that we forgot to take any pics. If you can't handle farm odors, the occasional pig squeal, and porta-potties, this is not your campground. If you enjoy that, you will have a great time! We did! Except that the night was colder than we would have liked. In a camper that we were having a hard time regulating temperature! More for the memories! Enjoyed the campground dogs except that they kept eating our dog's food. But they sure had fun playing and ours did too!

Great Spot
This was a great spot with a lot of potential. I loved the layout and welcoming atmosphere of the host family. There are a few things that could have been better, but overall we had a great stay. No issues with the hookups or getting settled, but the bathrooms were under-maintenanced. Still, a really cool little campsite for a great price. Definitely stop by to see the chickens, ducks, and pig up at the owners house on the weekend. We will be back!

Melrose Cavern
Overall we had a good experience. The site was well laid out, although a bit sloped. The owner’s dogs were off leash and friendly. The pit toilet was clean. Make sure to ask about location of the potable water in advance. The dairy farm was very close by and the smell permeated the area, and the nearby rooster crowed at seemingly random times in the night.
