We recommend walking up stream or down stream if you plan to fish, as the water is often only 2-3' deep near the camp sites.

We currently offer one cottage, glamping and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm!
Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.
A few offerings on the farm. Tasting in the 1850s Chestnut log cabin, tubing trips, breakfast and picnic lunches, Animal experiences and Yoga. Please inquire about renting the property for private small events.

116 acres of forrest, hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things.
Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions.
The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America.
It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours!
Also, if you want peace and quiet we have beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running around the labryinth whooping it up. (sites 4 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 10)

We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed.
You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well.
We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest.
Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.

Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

116 acres of forrest, hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things.
Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions.
The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America.
It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours!
Also, if you want peace and quiet we have beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running around the labryinth whooping it up. (sites 4 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 10)

We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed.
You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well.
We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest.
Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. This is a hidden gem of Orange County! The hosts were so nice. When we rolled up, they said there was a better spot they could show us to. I think it was spot 7. Regardless, it was beautiful. Sleeping under the trees was so peaceful. It was our dog’s first camping trip and it was nice for it to just be our crew without other families disturbing us.
A few things to note: fire wood is free. Loved that! The bathroom is a drive away, not on site. I would bring a toilet or WAG bag. I definitely encourage 4WD/AWD. The terrain was bumpy. There were some gunshots in the distance that scared our pup around dinner time and some low flying airplanes.
Besides that, expect hammocking trees, great sticks and tinder for starting the fire, walking trails, and being far away from others. It was very quiet at night and it was just what we needed! This trip was everything I envisioned for our dog’s first outing and more. I’m so glad we booked this Hipcamp! I’ll definitely be back! Thanks for hosting!

We stayed at campsite number 1 with a pop-up camper. Access was easy. There was plenty of room, tons of wood for a fire, a labyrinth, and trails. The hosts were amazing and attentive. It took only a few minutes to drive to the town of Orange and nearby are a number of wineries.

My wife, 2 boys and I stayed Sat. and although we had to pack up at night because little man was to cold, we would definitely be back. Matt met us and showed us where everything was and had the campsite cleaned and ready for us loaded with fresh cut firewood. We will definitely be back in the spring. Directions were easy to get to it. Nice 5 minute walk to the river also.

We stayed at campsite #2 and it was the perfect spot! Secluded enough to be far from other camp spots and you had the most perfect view of the river! Graham was so nice to being firewood when we needed it! Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our weekend on site two at this property. Site two is really large and the most private imo. It’s the last site when driving in so no other campers are driving by. There is no shore at this site to sit down by the river but I knew that when booking. There is a very steep spot at the site for river access with a rope for help but it just dropped straight into the water. Might be different with lower water levels. The site was perfect for stargazing. Our dog loved all the open space for running. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of the river. We loved being able to leave cash for wood that was stacked at the site when we arrived. Overall we enjoyed the space and had a really relaxing weekend.

The site was outstanding, very spacious and private. Also the structure was new and well built with a solid picnic table and top tier fire pit to match.. Can't forget about having a clean well stocked restroom because we all know that no one likes the alternatives lol
Overall the layout was clearly put together by people with an understanding and consideration of of basic necessities to enhance the experience. The view needed no assistance but I will add that the river bank brush was also well maintained even though I didn't have a chance to get in yet

This is the perfect campsite. You have hundreds of feet of private river frontage/riverview, great raised and covered structure that’s large enough to set up a large tent, a couple of small tents or multiple spots to hang hammocks. Plenty of trees to hammock from as well. Great fire pit and there’s an extremely clean Porta-Potty next to the large parking lot.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fiddle Head Camp! The property was beautiful, and Jennifer and John were incredibly welcoming. The campsite itself felt remote and was beautiful, while still having some amenities on site. But the real stars of the show were the animals. We loved all of the fur and feather babies on the site. We highly recommend the Snacks and Cuddles experience! The proximity to Old Rag and Bear Church Rock was a huge plus for us. We’d love to stay here again!

Had a lovely time opening our camping season early at site 4. It's spacious, mostly level, and right next to the river. The site is also equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with swing-away grill. Note: the site is a fairly large clearing so I recommend bringing extra shade to hang out under during the day. We look forward to returning, especially as the season warms up and the trees fill in!

The yurt at fairy glen is lovely! Though it rained on our stay, we still loved it and felt cozy, especially with the rain sound. The birds were amazing as our alarm clock in the morning. The property is so nice and we got their pretty black cat as our tour guide! We will definitely come back! 😌
